This video backs up what I was already thinking. He’s got some mistakes but he’s not the reason we’re 0-2. 0 separation and long developing plays and there just isn’t enough time or space to get the job done. Can’t believe people are giving up on Bryce already.

Panthers fans are irrationally taking out years of trauma on this current team. Even Reich, who is deserving of criticism doesn't deserve all the crap he's been getting.
@chucknv5482
@chucknv5482 9 месяцев назад
I don’t think we’ve faced bad teams so far. Bryce looks good. He’s not getting great separation from WRs or TEs. He’s also getting a lot of pressure in his face because the routes are long developing. So he’s missing some throws by just a bit since he’s being rushed as they bear down in him.
@Mightyxenos
@Mightyxenos 9 месяцев назад
Agreed. I think it doesn't help that the Online is plagued with injuries and just lost Brady Christiansen as well. That leaves Cade Mays who was elevated from a full back roll, just ok Taylor Moton and 2 rookies in Chandler Zavala, Icky and Bozeman. We "may" get Austin Corbett back in a few weeks. Maybe. And as shown from the tape the schemes are not helping our WR corp. But this is a offense that's still finding it's rhythm. It's gonna take a little more time but Bryce definitely isn't the issue. Don't get me wrong he's learning as well and is not without fault but when given the opportunity he is delivering on his promise of skill sets.

All of us here in Charlotte are feeling cautiously optimistic. IT seems like the team's problems aren't due to Bryce's skill. We were hype as hell going into the season, but the pundits and people with more level heads are probably more correct: We used a lot of capital to get our guy, and obviously that comes at a cost. Expect this team to get better and better throughout the year and onward as we genuinely get to build a team around Bryce.

The one at 17:00 hurts the most IMO because the route concept is ASS 100% agree with you there. But once it breaks down.... you gotta make a play, and Mingo becomes WIDE open when Davis slides down to tackle Bryce. Just throw it man... frustrating offense so far that has mistakes from everyone honestly. Have to scheme better, have to get open better, and have to throw better when you get the opportunity. Also, in my honest opinion too, you have to GM/scout for this team better too. Not because there was a lack of trying to bring guys in (2 FA WR from a weak FA class, FA TE, and a 2nd round pick WR), but really hard to say it's totally fine/acceptable. Comparing to Texans guys, most would say their group is better than ours, but Collins taken after TMJ, Dell taken after Mingo, Robert Woods is also a 10th yr vet player, FA TE in Schultz vs FA TE Hayden Hurst... Gotta either scout better, or use your scheme to fit the players better. No way you should be saying you missed on everyone when teams drafting later than you are hitting still at the same positions.

Great analysis as always JTOS. Frank Reich ain't it. Making BY a static drop back passer of 10 yard routes makes zero sense. They need SCHEMES to your excellent point. Pre-snap motion to compensate for the lack or perimeter speed. Misdirection. Change of direction. The likely outcome on this trajectory is BY being broken physically and or mentally. I say let the OC play call. This ain't it. This is malpractice as it stands.

Bryce Young is still learning on-the-job and showing development. There are several problems but give Bryce a top 10 receiver - someone who can get separation, and he will throw darts. From the line to the play-calling, those improvements can give him more comfort in the pocket and develop as a passer. These things take time.

I feel like that first pass to Thielen could've been closer to the sideline. A bit underthrown by Bryce Young.

@@Semi_11 Now if Thielen was supposed to be running horizontally closer to the 40 yard line, I can see how Bryce's pass was perfect. Maybe Thielen just rounded his route too much at the top.

I honestly think that if Carolina still had Moore and CMC to give him good targets and a good run game, we'd be looking at a 2-0 Bryce Young and not 0-2 Bryce Young. as-is, the offensive playbook is not built with receivers that are so outclassed by defenses. they need creative routes to get people open, not running 3 people into 2x~3x coverage each play
@AFerg
@AFerg 9 месяцев назад
Agree 💯. As much as I hate to say it, we shouldve traded Burns instead of DJ. Our defense would still be good enough, and our offense wouldnt struggle nearly as much
@samuelgilbert5527
@samuelgilbert5527 9 месяцев назад
@@AFerglow-key it does look like they should have traded Burns because our offense already struggled enough then trading away our best WR didn't help. I like Burns alot but at the moment I'm not sure if luvu would be able to do what he's doing without Burns taking up some attention.

100% - the playcalling is there and Young is showing flashes but we've traded away so much talent. A bit of a nothing though cause it'd be really hard to get Young without trading away at least Moore (Maybe package Moore/Burns + another decent defender and a 1st or something or just get really lucky with QBs in draft.) CMC is a great fit in SF (anyone with talent really is) but he'd be doing so much for this offense that needs someone to actually get open and make defenses have to guard against both pass and run. Blocking is meh and run game is not there, and neither is the separation so it's entirely scheme + QB accuracy to make the offense move which is asking a lot of Bryce.
@samuelgilbert5527
@samuelgilbert5527 9 месяцев назад
@@TheMightyBone it's gonna come down to getting the run game started and getting the ball laviska because he honestly is the most explosive player we have on offense at the moment. We honestly could have kept CMC with the trade of DJ in the off-season it seems like unless the players we drafted pan out.

I don’t completely disagree with his assessment of the Panther’s offense or Bryce’s performance but I can’t help but feel like Cj Stroud wouldn’t have gotten as many excuses made for him. If Cj had the day Bryce had I feel most of the blame would’ve been placed on him.
@kevykev388
@kevykev388 9 месяцев назад
Absolute facts! Remember when Panthers first pivoted away from him to Bryce....Sports media literally ran an entire smear campaign on Stroud. Said he was dumb. Can't read defenses. Not coachable. Arrogant. Blah blah. Meanwhile he's taller, heavier, better deep ball, better ball placement....had more TDs, more yards, higher completion percentage and fewer ints. Said all that to say this. Young is not a #1 overall talent. He's gonna take a lot more development than what they said to play at this level. Play calling, separation and OL are all factors but again....if he's #1 overall...he's supposed to have an X factor that shines through (at times) through all of that and no one has seen it. I'm not excited about Dalton starting Sunday but I'm thinking the offense is gonna look a bit more competent with him being experienced. There might be some plays that don't go exactly the way the coach called it and that's fine as long as the chains move.

9:35 you have ian thomas running a flat route you can zip it to for an easy 5 yard gain at his first hitch. Man are you special? This game isn't wait until you see them open. The mfer knows when they will be bc he knows the fckn play? Hell they all Do. You have to get that ball out on time and it's on the receiver if he can't catch the ball if it's throw a tad early. Possession reveivers are just that. They're specialist at catching and securing the football. That's what they do for a living. They know the timing too and you're taught that every route you run you should always expect it will have to be thrown to you
@kevykev388
@kevykev388 9 месяцев назад
Bingo! THIS is why although I'm not excited about Dalton...I'm glad he's playing Sunday. Maybe his veteran experience shines through and he's throwing the ball on time. Bryce is doing what Baker did with the Panthers. Waiting for guys to run their entire route AND be open. Nah...you gotta hit that window as soon as it's open cause it's gonna close and may not open again.
@drealboy_

@kevykev388 we have the most underrated offensive line in the league. Even with our two starting guards last week, bryce still had plenty of time to throw. The run game will be hard to come by. Seattle is 31st in defense, tho. I'm calling it now Dalton will go for over 300 yards and multiple touchdowns
