This tutorial will guide through syncing routes from STRAVA / KOMOOT / RELIVE / RIDEWITHGPS to the Bryton Active app for a compatible device and uploading the route to your Rider 420 device (instructions will also work for most Bryton Follow-Track-Enabled devices). Full written instructions are provided below.🔻

🔻 INSTRUCTIONS 🔻:
Enable Route Auto Sync for Komoot/Strava/RideWithGPS/Relive
Before enabling Strava/Komoot/RideWithGPS/Relive Auto Sync, please ensure that your device is compatible with this feature and has already been synced and is currently connected with Bryton Active. Please contact support@brytonsport.com if you have any questions.
In order to enable Komoot/Strava/RideWithGPS/Relive Route Auto Sync, follow the instructions provided below:
1. Open the Bryton Active App and Navigate to the "Course" tab
2. Toggle Strava/Komoot/RideWithGPS/Relive
3. You will be prompted to login to your Strava/Komoot/RideWithGPS/Relive account. Input your login information to proceed or choose "Create Account"
4. After logging in, select "Allow"
5. Komoot/Strava/RideWithGPS/Relive should now be enabled. Please note that it may take a few minutes for your routes to populate in "My Routes"
6. If the routes do not appear, under my routes, press the filter button in the top right corner and select All/Komoot/STRAVA/RideWithGPS/Relive
Only new rides will sync to Strava/Komoot/RideWithGPS/Relive, routes that have already been synced to Bryton Active will not auto sync to Strava/Komoot/RideWithGPS/Relive and must be manually uploaded on their respective sites. If new routes do not appear after an hour, please contact support@brytonsport.com
*Please note: Enabling Strava Route Auto Sync will also enable Strava Auto Sync.
🔻 RIDER 330/530 INSTRUCTIONS 🔻:
If your device is incompatible with the Bryton Active Feature or if you would like to manually add a route, please follow the instructions below:
1. Connect device to PC
2. In the Bryton folder, select "Extra Files"
3. Copy and Paste the GPX tracks into this folder
4. After file(s) has copied, disconnect from PC

In the video when you convert the file to contain turn-by-turn information, why do the distance and elevation values change? I experienced this as well. I brought in a route from Ride with GPS (53 miles) and when I converted it, the distance now shows 111 miles.

I have this exact model Rider 420. App is on Iphone X ios 14.4. Every time I try to convert to Turn by Turn, always error with "File Transfer Failed". Tried with Komoot route. also the same error. Since buying, i've only been able to convert 1x.

When I upload my routes the bryton rider 420 is extremely slow at processing the file (I also tried making a simple route straight from the bryton app, still very slow at processing!), I mean so slow that a 100km route took 7 hours or so. Then, when it is processed, my navigation looks broken (I have the arrow on the screen, and a bunch of lines or pixels popping up and going away, completely random!) :( Even the preview of the route on the Bryton screen looks like a weird pixel artwork. Any ideas?

Hi. I need to replace the USB port, the contacts are bent. Where can I find the Rider 420 disassembly scheme? How do I take it apart to show it to the repairman?

I believe everything is synced and enabled, but my Strava route never appears in the Bryton app. When I click on “3rd Party account link” there’s a button for route resyncing. Press it, I get a get “Loading…” then “OK/Done”; then nothing happens.

how do i sync particular activity to strava? i mean bryton app syncs everything automatically with all the rubbish test activities and such. I want to sync manually choosen activities. How can i do that?

Hello, thank you for your question! Please see the instructions below: 1. Using the original USB cable, plug the Bryton device into your PC. 2. In the main Bryton directory/folder (or the Activities folder), locate the file(s) that were unable to sync (these files will be in .fit format). To easily locate the ride, sort files by Date. 3. After finding the file(s), navigate to www.strava.com/upload/select in your web browser 4. Select the files you would like to sync and choose Upload *It may still take a few minutes for the rides to appear on Strava. If the rides still do not appear in the list of activities or if you get a "fail" notification, please contact support@brytonsport.com

Does it work on smart trainers? I have the rider 310 and it only reads the power. no speed. I'm eyeing on buying this unit. Thanks!

Hello, the current version of Rider420 doesn't support smart trainer control yet. There's a significant firmware update scheduled to be released in late-Oct. We'll be adding several functions including Di2/ESS, ANT+ FE-C, Radar support, Workout.

When the bryton app automatically syncs the activity to strava , strava shows the moving time as the trip time on the bryton app and not the ride time. Can you change this ? Because now it doesnt show the correct moving time on strava.

This seems to work for Strava but I cannot log in on RideWithGps, it keeps saying "Account or Password is empty" even though I entered both e-mail and password, also tried with my friend's email from ridewithgps and his password and same error occurs. Anything else I need?

wow this is the third vid i've watched on teh Bryton> Your device was ready to go in a few seconds. Mines still processing my route. Seems if your route is e 50 mile longit takes plus 20 minute sto process. I mean mines at 60% and this is the third Bryton vid i have watched that doesn't mention this...

Hi there. Please make sure that the coin battery you replace is CR2032. After it is replaced, you should be able to see a yellow light blinking when you try to rotate the cadence sensor.

Yes. Once you connect your Bryton Active account with your Strava account, every activity you upload to Bryton will send to your Strava account at the same time.

Hi there. No, but you can do it via the Bryton Active app. Share the GPX file to the Bryton Active app and then send the route to your Rider 420 by Bluetooth.

@@BrytonActive What everyone wants to do is make their own GPX using whatever software they want, then upload it. But it seems this 420 is unable to do this basic thing and can only import from certain other programs. Unless there's something I missed? Anyway pls notify me when you upload the next vid, cheers!
