This is exactly what I fear...an unnecessary nit picking on mundane things against a truly deserving competitor of RE bikes...RE bikes are adored to such an overdose level that bikes from other companies which are genuinely good are not being given their deserving appreciation...
Yeah issues like availability of dealerships, spares all will only get better with time and why is there any need to have a lower price for offering a single cylinder engine is beyond me when this engine feels just as brilliant as the RE twin if not more
People like you guys are the biggest problem.. Already you guys destroyed mojo, Jawa, yezdi and now Bsa.. Every new company needs time and takes time to improve there sales and service, a hardcore biker never complain and bikes or car, according to a biker, every bike is good bike, it depends on how we take care the bike..
First buy the Mahindra products and stop complaining and stop comparing, Royal Enfield is good in its own ways, Jawa and Bsa goods in its own way.. I felt like r15 and KTM riders are comparing this classic bikes, I never seen on hear a hardcore biker comparing Classic modern retro bikes
@@ankn01no it is not as simple as that ..BSA has a specific reason to go for single cylinder ..it packs more torque and power at lower rpms . Which means you will get more power with less throttle and the bike will feel punchy as compared to an RE twin cylinder. International reviewers have mentioned that int 650 feels a bit limp n souless compared to BSA.
As a current Honda Highness CB350 owner, I now find the Goldstar a compelling option for an upgrade along with the Interceptor. It's fate purely resides on how it is treated by Classic Legends.
It's a bike that can go for a long haul once a while. Although not recommended for daily commute in cities like delhi, Bengaluru. it's a bike for pure biking experience , sit back relax and enjoy the ride all while taking it to high revs once a while. Although this bike offers completely another level experience but it's not a all ride bike. I would recomend triumph 400 scrambler for that.
Damm you are lucky bro.. You got a real goldstar for a test drive.. But in reality the many dealers are not giving goldstar 650 for test drive... They are just starting the bike in the showroom and telling us to sit on it.. And imagine how you will feel while driving the bike 😅
I have had the electra , classic 350 and classic 500 and never was ever fully satisfied with its shordy quality of paints and material and spare prices the maintainance was alway double of my car the new engines are doing well but so do are the goldstar doing well i. The uk from last 2 years….. also though the website shows only 50 dealers in mumbai almosg all the jawa dealers have a test ride vehicle
Classic legends have still not figure out how to deal with jawa and yezdi bikes and their customers and now a new brand is getting added. I really doubt what the future will be for them. The availability of spare parts is a big issue and this should be really solved by them.
@@ackodrive the first thing is that the service centre guys are reluctant to do any complicated job which requires more effort. I've an yezdi adventure and I've done around 41000 kms now. I wanted my front fork oil to be changed but they were reluctant although they have it in stock and I was ready to pay for any extra charges but they finally denied. And later they said that they don't have the equipment which is needed to raise the front side of my bike😶😶My rear mono shock is kind of done for. I adjusted the preload but it's not working so I wanted to get it changed. First thing is they don't have it in stock and second, one of the mechanic said that in adventure bikes the rear shock doesn't need to be changed ever. Recently a car hit me from behind while I was standing in traffic. My bike fell and the front windshield/visor broke and that isn't available in any of the service centre in our city ( bhubaneswar). The service guys just want to do oil changes and nothing else. The day when I went to inquire about the visor there was another guy with his yezdi roadster. That guy was really frustrated. He has been visiting the showroom since last 3 days and I overheard the mechanic telling him that we're not able to know why your bike is stalling.... This is the scene with yezdi and jawa. The mechanics are not trained at all and they're reluctant to do their job. Actually there are 2 service centres in our city. One of them doesn't have any spare parts except engine oils. And the other one has some spare parts available but the mechanics are reluctant to do the job. Keeping all this aside, I try to stay away from these service centres. I go just for oil and brake pad changes. They've ordered the visor, rear mono shock and God knows when it'll arrive in the service centre. Touch wood my bike has been relatively issue free and amazing till now so I stay away from the service centre becoz I know if I ask them to repair something they'll worsen the condition of my bike. And last thing My swingarm bushes are gone and the bike feels unstable sometimes and they don't even know what a swingarm bush is.... 🥲🥲
@ackodrive We have 2 service centres in our city ( bhubaneswar). One of them doesn't have any spare parts available except engine oil and brake pads. The other showroom has few spare parts available but the service guys are reluctant to do the job. I've a yezdi adventure 2022 model and I've ridden about 41000 kms. As I've ridden it hard on both good and bad roads I wanted to change the front oil seal as the right side one was also leaking a bit. The service guys saw this and just wiped the oil off and asked me to continue riding. They do have the front oil seal in stock but they gave the excuse that the bike will continue to run with those and when I said seriously that I want to get it changed they were like we don't have the stand or the equipment to lift the front of the bike😶😶. Recently my front visor/windshield broke when the fell down as I was hit by a car while I was standing in traffic. It isn't in stock and they've placed the order. My rear monoshock and the swingarm bush are completely gone. I tried adjusting the preload but it isn't making any difference. When I took the bike for this one service guy said that ' this is an adventure bike, you will never need to change the rear monoshock ' it'll always work. And regarding the swingarm bush ,those guys haven't even heard about that😶😶. It's really heart breaking. I've so so many sad and frustrated customers in the service centre. Recently a guy was having engine stall issues in his yezdi roadster and he has been coming to the service centre continuously for 3 days and finally the service guys said that they're unable to find out the reason why the bike is stalling and they returned the bike to this guy. Thank God I haven't had such horrifying experiences till now. My bike has been running well since 2 and half years and I avoid taking it to the service centre. I only go for oil changes and brake pad changes. Rest I try to manage at a local mechanic
The cults of maruti in cars and cult of re in bikes wont let anything good come and survive in our market, no wonder we always get mediocre products from international brands. Sad days for indian motorheads
Indian fans are to be blamed and these so called reviewers. RE was selling rust buckets for decades till Jawa and Hness arrived. Till that time everyone had there mouth plugged on fit n finish, reliability, after sales. They focused on character, feel, old world charm and praised RE. Same hypocrites are now nitpicking other brands whosoever competes with RE. Indian fans need to learn/understand this hypocrisy.
@@kimphilbi9109 they won't, the reason companies like ford and chevy had to quit India and vw group struggling shows a lot about clarity... Some cant stand the fact that tata and mahindra are making some good cars, this suv trend is also influenced by these so called journalists...how they hell we need suvs when roads are much better and we driven esteem, civic, city like cars when there were very less roads..
Seen u on a different. Channel earlier.. Where were u working earlier ? Auto car? Power drift? Zig wheels? Definitely not motorinc I don't. Think. I examine anything else too. Frequently.. * typos... New sw Keyboard for android sucks
@@ackodrive Thanks for that. Perhaps he needs few more. This is one of a kind bike. Do we have plathora of 650 singles? Do we see that every other day the iconic brand is revived in most authentic manner possible? Aren't we be happy that we are getting more and more affordable options in 500 to 800 cc segment? Are 10k more important than this? The customer willing to pay close to 4 lacs on road will base his decision on 10k?
@@AdityaDevSultan i agree to this. Interceptor has to be owned with lot of compromises or with extra post-purchase expenses.. key selling point for that is that twin..
I used Bajaj Calibre for 22 years, and then Hero Passion Pro (since 2021), all these times my top priority was mileage and price. Now I am 48 and want a 150cc-250cc bike and am okay with 35-45kmpl mileage. So I am looking at Apache RTR 160 4V, XTREME 160R 4V DISC, Pulsar N160, MT-15 Ver 2.0 KTM 200 DUKE any suggestion🙏
@@ackodrivebetter tires ? Goldstar has Pirellis. What are you writing? Thank god you didn't say "because 10k can be used for groceries, child vaccination, wife's facial "
Beautiful machine, but unfortunately under a wrong ownership, mahindra couldn't establish themselves as a reliable car brand despite so many dealerships and touch points. Have no hope for their bikes, for service and spares.
I love this bike but the only problem is that whenever piston ring or piston wears down i have to replace it either with genuine or a car piston that of 100mm which will be a lot costly
Very pleasure to see bsa's fit and finish and pure retro looking. In the case of practicality they might enters with 350 cc segment. My humble opinion.
650cc and a 12ltr tank...tubed tyres...... Good luck to all those who ends up buying (read wasting their money) this and heading where else than Ladakh / Spiti....
Thanks for your wishes, I own one, the points mentioned by you bother the keyboard warriors. The seasoned bikers have stomach to handle this and still enjoy their rides.
@@devdas4449you are spot on, the tubeless tires and alloys are the options we received in last one or one n half decade. Before that people have travelled length and width of this country with spokes.
Indian customers should buy this bike instead of RE. Honda 350 and Jawa are much better bikes than RE. But Indians are highly obsessed with RE so they don't buy other bikes.
Go for interceptor. There will be some niggles with the interceptor but you can live with it. BSA will take several years to settle and be a good product.
@@duggu6774 Go Goldstar, I have taken back to back test drives. INT650 is definitely quick but Goldstar trumps in Ergonomics, weight distribution, Styling, Tractability and feel, charm of big single. Please do test drives, you would know for yourself.
i'm 5'6 and with interceptor i had a little discomfort with the seat height.. no problem while riding.. also it did hurt my shin actually as you might've seen in the review videos.. i feel that bsa would help me with the height factor also i like the looks of bsa better.. the finishing seems much better on bsa vs int.. i'm not a serious biker.. just an ordinary guy born in the 80s who appreciates quality retro/classic stuff and go for a ride in and around the city to enjoy the thrill..
Currently, availability is limited and that is done to make sure the experience offered to buyers is better than what it was with Jawa and Yezdi but hopefully, things shall improve.
@@ArunNadar-AckoDrive Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker! Had one near death experience riding one tubeless a few years back. Could have fell into the col! Not again.
Well you guys don't have to wait for the SINGLE CYLINDER vs TWIN CYLINDER because we have already uploaded that on our channel 🙌🏻 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HoxeJ-vRms0.htmlfeature=shared
Suspension not pliant and stiff, nose dive under braking vibrations all over at higher rpms, dynamic not as good as it's rivals, sound not as good as it's rival, could have been lighter still, finish is top notch, console looks odd, overall it's a classic what else can one expect.
@@sriyanshbhardawaj9290 bro, I own one. I made decision after 2 long test drives. None of your negative observations tally with my experience. Have you test ridden yourself ? Where ?
As long as an engine serves its purpose, it shouldn't matter as much. Also, we think Ducati and KTM would also beg to disagree with that statement: 698 Mono and 690 Duke.
@@ackodrive Nopee its not about only the purpose and engine cc at that price we need that hardware too. So, again anything above 500 CC or more has to be a Twin atleast. ✅
@@ackodrive Overhyped enthusiasm may turn against this model, if they fail to rectify technicalities, shoddy workmanship before it's too late. Launching just one model in so many colors alone may not guarantee their success.
@@AdityaDevSultanEven the UK sales are down now - the initial excitement is gone and attempt to challenge RE sales haven't been fruitful. Hope it does better in India.
@@TheTwinPost it’s gonna pick up now as the niggles have been sorted out and the price have been brought down in the UK. I hope, people stop comparing this to RE and appreciate for what it is as a product.
