And the desert setting reminiscent of Roswell or Area 51? If a viewer is not ARMY, these are still recognisable pointers towards space travel, UFOs and visitations from popular culture. The story of the mv is that Jin is from another planet and has crash landed on earth. While waiting for the day he can return he spends time on earth. He is doing a crossword in the beginning but in unable to finish it. The room has pictures that little girl drew. Also, chris martin was the news anchor haha. He builds a connection with the little girl (army or members). He teaches her to ride a bike and smiles when he sees that she will be okay on her own when he leaves. He sees the light and is eager to return to his planet. He gives his helmet to the little girl. On his journey and throughout the mv Jin doesn't smile much, he wonders aimlessly, people pass by him, and no attention is given to him. On the way there are many stop signs (a sign he should turn back). While riding the bike he is remising the memories he has made with the little girl, the happy times and the love. Once he gets to the ship he has an epiphany that he doesn't want to leave. He has found his little heaven on earth, a family, someone waiting for him. On the way back he smiles. Finally, he is back doing the crossword is finally able to finish it with the word family. He smiles for the 3rd time when he hears the bell. The whole MV is Jins goodbye or see you soon. He is telling army that while he may be gone, he is going to come back and will cherish the memories until then.

At first, when Jin was sitting near his crushed ship, there were no trees around him, but later, when his ship restored and sent a signal, the trees around it had already grown. it takes a minimum of 10 years for trees to grow, so maybe the little girl is around 10 years old and represents the ARMYs who were named after us on July 9, 2013, so soon we will also be 10 years old loli love the message of the video. seokjin teaching her to ride a bike (and how the pictures of her learning and of him riding were placed next to each other... giving her his helmet which he smashed into the dirt just before he planned to leave her so that she could be safe in the future. but once he had the chance to leave, he couldn't because he realized that his home is no longer a place, but his loved ones, this girl who is happy to be his friend, doesn't think so either. It just so happens that the car that stopped to help you take it back to the girl is a truck. A truck car has been a constant symbol in the BTS mvs since 2015 and I believe its meaning has already crossed the limits of the fictional universe it was always a symbol of the friendship between the 7 and jin was always the one driving with the other boys inside. now it's taking him home. There is no one else like Jin who's thinking of us(Army)before he go to the enlistment so that's why he made this song for us with the help of Chris..I felt that Jin is an angel that God sent to the world to spread love and peace and makes people to unite. I feel like the spaceship represents Jin's acting career( in real life, his intended path he originally wanted,, but when the light powered back on to take him home, he ended up not going back on the ship cause he fell in love came to love the girl like family (the girl who represents ARMY with the purple helmet and purple bike) just my interpretation..

I cried too, you aren't alone 😊, I just can't accept the fact that enlistment is coming and Jin have to go😔, I always have a special space in my heart for Jin, everything thing he does inspires me. BTS helped me through my depression phase, some people don't understand their value in our life, how they affected us with their divine impact, all of them especially Jin for me, I loved them, I love them and I'll love them always💜

I'm in mid-video, watching you crying, while I'm bawling my eyes out and had to pause to write it out from myself that I just realised now, that the helmet was with Jin when he landed and protected him, kept him alive, and then he gives the helmet to Us, Army. To protect us from everything that might come while he is not here to protect us himself. Because we will fall with the bike, life is life, and he always said that "wrong things will happen in life, but what matters is that we have to get up and keep going". So being hurt is anticipated, but at least he leaves this song and love declaration here for us to protect our hearts and soul and comfort us when it's hard because it will be hard. This becomes more painful for me each time but I interpreted it as him heeding the call (to serve) but assuring us that he will return (as he chooses to go back instead of leaving in the spaceship). And at the end when the bike bells rings, it's ARMY who has waited and is still there. So powerful and heartbreaking and reassuring and painful all in one 5 minute piece of heaven. Ugh. Such a great interpretation of this song. As you know, I'm not on Twitter to see the theories, but I wrote down a few things that caught my eye upon first listen to this beautiful song. Yes I absolutely believe that the little girl is ARMY...purple helmet and all (but oh I loved the dad Jin vibes!). He put the helmet on her head for protection and taught her to ride the bike on her own....instilling independence in us while he serves? He cheered for her accomplishments (as they always do for ARMY). When she was grabbing his face while he endured it emotionlessly, I felt that could have been a metaphor for sometimes being controlled in his life decisions by the will of ARMY, or the other members, or government decisions (that could be a stretch, but that was my thought). When he was walking down the street and people were bumping into him, had he become invisible?? The artwork with the word HOME and the 8 stars (7 members + ARMY is home to him). When he hitched a ride in the back of the pickup...that felt important....A pickup shows up a lot in their BU content films...but Jin is always the driver....does this symbolize some things being out of his hands now? You asked about other interactions with people in MVs..there are a lot, but their old MV for their rendition of "Beautiful" immediately came to mind....Hobi, Tae, Jimin and JK all shooting their shot with the same girl (as some of them also did in "Boy in Luv" . ) I laughed when you used the word "asshat"...I use that word a lot!! God this is hard. 😭 It’s super tough with Jin as he’s the first to go. Then I remember there are six others. 😫😢😫 The performance he did with Coldplay is even harder than this MV, a friendly warning. 😭 This one is so beautiful, it’s what I imagine heaven sounds like. It’s very quickly become my favorite song that I can play on repeat. This combination between Jin & Coldplay is better than I imagined. It deserves all the love and a 100 Grammys! What a beautiful, insightful and genuine reaction from you - as usual !! To me, I interpret this MV and this song as Jin's goodbye for now and as an "I love you" letter to ARMY as he is leaving for his military enlistment soon. To me, his mission as an astronaut represents his mission as a male Korean citizen who has to serve in the military. His helmet and suit could symbolize both an astronaut suit and a military suit. It's a formal suit of some sort. At the beginning of the MV, his spaceship is broken so he cannot move around (=being stuck because of the pandemic ? They have said they wanted to have a break after MOTS but because they wanted to cheer ARMYs up during the pandemic, they postponed their initial plans. The ship burning up could be them burning up too?). Jin is quite expressionless at the beginning, as if he was sad, or burned up, or resigned to go and fullfill his mission. The light coming out of the ship looks like a calling to me (military call = he has to go and serve?), so he gets up, puts his astronaut / soldier uniform and go. But he meets the little girl who of course, symbolizes ARMYs. He gives her his helmet to protect her (=bulletproof, protection against prejudice and harm - in a word, BANGTAN). Then, he runs to go and serve. He feels lonely and sad, as symbolized by the lonely astronaut he sees on the street after having been pushed and ignored by strangers (similarly, he feels estranged, sad and alone in the world). Then he arrives at the spaceship.The light is reflected on one of his eye : to me, that's him fulfilling his mission. Because then, he is in the middle of the purple universe (= in the military, though alone and far away from us, he will keep ARMY in his heart because we are is universe). The flashbacks with the little ARMY girl shows happy memories they made together. Though Jin was sad because he had to leave, the little girl made him smile, and they made a lot of memories together (polaroid photos, playing together etc). He taught her to ride a bicycle with an helmet... The most Bangtan's experience ever. They told us so many things : loving ourselves, not being prejudiced... And they really gave us a protective helmet to face life. But then, Jin realised how much the ARMY girl also helped him to cheer up, be happy, be a human with emotions. And he realises that ARMY is home. At the end, the spaceship goes without Jin : his mission is finished, and now he can go home and join what he realised was his home and gave him strenght : ARMYs! And of course at the end, the little girl is back to welcome him; and he smiles : ) // THE END

You are a lovely girl, thanks for sharing your emotions with us - I’ve been crying all Weekend. I heard that the girl is supposed to be 10 - the age of ARMY. The newscaster is Chris martin! The crossword black parts are also braille for army! If you saw 8 stars maybe that means the 7 plus army. I hope you have done a video with Chris’s speech at the show on Friday and then Jin’s performance. I was a mess at the theatre!! My two fave bands and Chris was so lovely to Jin 😢😊💜

While crying my way through the MV and checking other reactors I came across a comment - if you compare the ship at the beginning and at the end you will notice that there is a growth of trees and it is partially buried. The comment was that it takes 7-10 years for trees to grow like that, and not only that but the little girl looks to be around that age. I was an even bigger mess after that.

I didn’t cry they first couple of time I heard/watched MV but when it hits it hits. Lol Jin has such a beautiful childlike personality and voice. It is just so open and pure. Jin is one of the few members that have made me totally cry just by singing… Fun fact: Jin wrote the second verse all by himself. When he went live he talked about the writing process (with Coldplay) and the making of the MV. Jin reached out to Chris asking for a song that was about saying good bye, I love you, but I will be back. Anyways like a day before they were going to shoot the MV Jin said he wanted to change the second verse to be more Korean (of course Chris loved the idea) so Jin wrote it but didn’t have anybody to read it to ask what they felt about it because of how late in the game it was. So he asked Chris what he felt about it and Chris said it was good…anyways I love Chris is showing the members to have more confidence in themselves (especially when it comes to writing, etc.) The live performance is beautiful with Coldplay. If you watch it I highly recommend watching one when Chris gives his little speech before Jin comes in and starts singing…. The last words Jin wanted to say to us before left was “I Love You”. (In Astronaut these where the last words Jin sang) Theories: The three passing cars and the three people that bumped into Jin all are saying the three ish years BTS will be gone until 2025. All the flower references (he passes a flower shop) references the members The little girl means BTS as well The truck that picked him up at the end represents the truck with members from the BU and I need you/run. Etc. etc. etc….
