Again. That was their Korean age. When they are born, they are one year old. Interestingly, all international passports contain the person's real age bypassing all the cultural age changes. I think just this year, South Korea is dropping their cultural age counting. It may already have happened, but I don't think so.
They were a group from a very small company, apart from the 3 big ones. They were cast aside from radio, TV and found their way to promote themselves by livestream, internet, whatever was available to show their music. ARMY is how their fans are called and has being supporting them for more than 10 years. Now, they are global. All 7 extremely talented. 💜💜💜💜
Thanks for your appreciation of our "the most talented boys" and your genuine reaction. Following you down the rabbit hole.. We Army never get bored of watching BTS even it is the umpteenth times!
They grow year on year gaining fans outside of Korea. I think another reason the Kpop Industry did them dirty was because they realised that BTS were going to be a big rival for their own known artists in their companies. I think it was more than the fact they saw them as being from a tiny no name company they were scared and rightly so. BTS were amazing from the beginning and grew even with all the dirty tricks the Big 3 Kpop Industry threw at BTS.
BTS = Bangtan Sonyeondan = Bulletproof Boy Scouts -- According to member J-Hope, the name signifies the group's desire "to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets". I feel this is important to understand not only the name but part of their purpose for songs. This is not often explained. Love our OT7 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The next mv is boy in luv and just one day. But I recommend all the tracks on the album that don't have mv they have live performances too they really are good. You can find many live performances with English subtitles on enjoy bts more channel
I wanted to try album reactions but, I wasn’t sure people would sit through them. Maybe I’ll watch all the available M/V’s and then do a video of all the tracks that didn’t have videos.
@@ReactsbyHans idk about 'people' .... but ARMY *will* watch. WE love long videos, and insightful (not over the top or superficial) commentary it is so much fun for us to watch someone genuine discover and appreciate the guys - and every new listen gives us a new perspective, even if we've heard it 120+ times.
army will watch anything BTS for hrs as long as ur honest. For album reactions in the future u need to break the vids apart. Yt will not allow a full album review in one vid@@ReactsbyHans
"Too much talent on this screen at one time, bro!" Right you are! And then you realize they did this - including Jimin's flip over j-hope - for music shows and awards shows and in concerts. For years!
Thank you for your reactions, you've been so kind, genuine, seems that you are really enjoying their songs. I'm a Brazilian Army and once again thank you! These 7 angels are precious to me! Can't wait for the next reaction
J hope and Jimin practiced that dance jump move so much J hope injured his thigh. It’s an iconic move in the kpop world. I think you should listen to the boys albums chronologically but just maybe 5 songs an album. The first era of BTS is known as the school trilogy. Next up would be ORUL82. My suggested picks would be: N.O. (Which you did), cypher pt 1, Coffee Next: skool luv affair: Boy in luv, just one day, cypher pt 2, and Jump Last of the era: Dark and Wild Danger, war of Hormone, Hip Hop Lover, cypher pt 3, look here The dark and wild is their first full length album and they finished writing it while in LA filming for a Kpop meets hip hop reality show.
You would make an amazing interviewer for BTS just by the questions you ask each time you watch a video and give a reaction. Thank you for blessing us ARMY with the content and reactions that you give 💜
No More Dream and We Are Bulletproof pt 2 are both from their first ever mini album (2 Cool 4 Skool) which they released in June 2013. Then three months later they dropped their 2nd mini album (O! R U L8, 2? aka Oh Are You Late Too?) in September 2013. That one had N.O on it. So the jump between the first 2 songs and N.O wasn't huge but by that time they had started selling a few albums (not a huge amount) so they had a bit more cash for a stronger comeback. You can hear the growth between the albums really clearly. By the time they release their 1st full length studio album (Dark & Wild), they sound more polished. There rise took several years. They didn't really blow up in the way you're thinking until at least about 5 years in. There's a video that talks about their rise and how many albums they sold and what things looked like in terms of their popularity and sales over time. It's a vid from Rice Squad called The Most Beautiful Life Goes On (2023 update). It's really up to like 2022 but I think it's a typo. Don't use the old video since he goes over the exact same things with less info so watching both is a waste of time. The more updated version has everything from the old one and then the pandemic era boom from BTS. He didn't go into 2023 era stuff which would have covered military elistment and solo era things. JK hadn’t even started high school yet. He took a year off between middle school and high school because the band was about to debut. (They debuted in June, and Koreas school year starts in March, so they were heavily focused on getting ready all day every day, don’t blame him for waiting!)
I suggest watching the most beautiful life goes on 2023 by the Rice Squad it tells about their journey from debut to now. The updated version I think it is 2023
good suggestion. this will give you an album timeline - and kind of go over their "eras" as we call them. Make sure to do the updated 2023 version. Every album or pair/trilogy of albums has a theme - or main subject matter they're experiencing and translating to their music. As they grow, so does their music. it is why they can't be 'pigeon-holed' into 1 type/style.. they evolve and change as their life and tastes and experiences change.
An idea from Ideagirl. Some reactors have admins. The person who commented on the next video might volunteer and do that for you. Make sure you see the videos in order if that's really how you want to do it. We DONT care. Since you are knew an admin can help you in many ways. Many times there are many versions of a song. And they can recommend the best video. So. Just an idea to help you.
Love your reaction and thank you for getting to know my all time favourite group! When you fetl it and said, "There is too much talent on one screen" 💜 💜 💜. They have been killing it from way back till now. The members of BTS are immensely talented. They have honed their craft and talent since way back and have become the biggest and globally the best boy band . You won't get this far without talent and hard work. I urge you to watch the documentary called, The most beautiful life goes on (2023 version) by Rice Squad. You will be better informed about their progression, accomplishments, albums and awards. You will be amazed.
Their first MV's leading to 2016/17 were very budget conscious, you will see the MV upgrade(s) from 2016/17. It took Bang PD's vision and grind to get the guys to global recognition and growth. His vision and encouragement for the guys to put their stories in their music Bang PD is just a great CEO, producer, and leader for his company Big HIt. Enjoy learning more!
Since you already know "N.O", the next ones are "BOY IN LUV" and "JUST ONE DAY" from the 2014 album Skool Luv Affair. 💜💜BTS has a song called "BOY WITH LUV (2019)" which is a kind of response to "BOY IN LUV (2014)" showing a more mature and hopeful side to the relationship, be careful not to confuse them, good journey!💜💜
Please i know you have so much content to process...please their dance practices show you their dance talent raw ...they're Mama award Performances ❤❤❤
I love your reactions, the next music videos if I am not mistaken, are Boy In Luv (there is a newer song called Boy WITH Luv that came out in 2019, so don't get those confused) and Just One day. Also, Suga is pronounced like Sugar without the R. Shoo-ga :)
Some constructive feedback if you want it. You are missing a whole lot because you talk while the video is playing. If you pause and share your thoughts I swear ARMY will not mind one bit. ARMY minds more that you are missing so much that's important. After all, BTS is all about lyrics and the message they want to convey. It will get even more important as you go farther down the rabbit hole. Hiphop are the roots. We love all the Eras. BTS would not be what they are today without the beginning. The lyrics would not be what it is today without the poem of rap. Enjoy your journey!
From Ideagirl. Just so you know. I make lots of typos because i have carpal tunnel. And sometimes when I go back in to edit...RU-vid wont let the edit go through. I have emailed them about this because its a disabilitu issue. But just so you know when i go back to read what i wrote i see the mistakes. But my edit wont update my corrections. Wah!
yep, and the put downs have only just begun at this point. JK was 15 and JImin was 18 I think. also, Jimin taught JK the hat trick, and got J-Hope to close his eyes and trust him. Remember these guys woke up, JK went to school, the guys had vocals and practice, Jk came home from school, and they had more practicetill 11or 12mn. Jin, Jimin and whoever would stay and do extra dance practice, Suga and RM would go into their where ever and write. Suga and Rm would go to bed around 6am, sleep a few hrs and be back to dance around noon.
Even if you only watch it (and don't react to it) I highly recommend the video listed below for an intro to BTS (a proper one). It is fully narrated in English (no reading) and it not only introduces you to each member, it also delves into their discography in album release order. Thank you for reacting to BTS! Have a blessed weekend! (I am a 62 year old Army member since 2020 and live in Kansas). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0KonKFssKnM.htmlsi=onQw5Vt6hIUwyXh4
Ive been watching u since an hour ago and i have to say, i dont know if u alreafy watch ,if not u have to watch INTRODUCTION to BTS a Bangtan Guide 7 by taylor mari... So that all your questions will be answered 👍
yes! we would rather you pause and say something insightful - than talk over the MV and miss a key part! especially as their story-telling progresses, there are so many 'easter eggs/call backs/references to art/literature/prior videos that it is important to see for full understandings of what they're saying. EVERYTHING is there for a reason, and so carefully chosen with nuance and layers of meaning.
can you please react to enhypen, i am a bts fan but since half of them went to the milatery i listen to enhypen now and they are fire. please please please
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Ok, i subbed. Pls pause to share ur thoughts. We want to hear u clearly, ty. Hans i told u they were known as Monster Rookies in the early years. =0] For album reactions in the future u need to break the vids apart. YT will not allow a full album review in one vid. NO i think was in the 3rd mini album. So u still have to hear the 2nd mini album. I am so glad u liked this one. So catchy. Hardcore too. A hit for sure is what i thought on 1st listen. BTS debuted as a hip hop group. So their 1st album was hip hop and so were the title track and b-side. Love their dance break. They got attention for sure with the topics of their songs and their energy. Army grew slowly but consistently. If u watch Rise of Bangtan an army made docu series u will see their progression. It's cool. The hat trick is iconic. =0p I think Jimin came up with the hat trick if i am not mistaken. Excited for the next MV Boy in Luv and Just One Day. Great songs as well. I think in 2016 was their 1ast music bank win for their song I Need You. This one started the BTS Universe(BU) storyline. After this they grew faster. They give us 2 albums per year and so much other content. After the 1st fan meet they kept getting more fans show up than they expected. =0} Hugs. Stay safe! #YouAreEnough --NY USA 2019 Army💟 Zizi K. said on 6/23/21 Kpop is not a genre actually, it's an industry because groups can choose whatever genre they want. I know you can listen to like one or two songs from a singer or group and get the gist of their sound but with BTS, their discography is so varied that you need to listen to a variety of the music to get who they are. Rayna said on 1/29/22 The first thing to understand is, that "K-Pop" is not really just a genre, it's more a whole industry.. As SUGA (one of the BTS members) once said: "I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre, because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that, but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.” BTS is more than just K-Pop. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in BTS. Also I recommend you some songs, that show their diversity: - ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (Music Video) - Blood, Sweat & Tears (Music Video) - Blue & Grey (MTV Unplugged) - Dis-ease (Lyric video) - Magic Shop (Live) -Run BTS (dance practice) only the rapline: - Outro: Tear (Live) - UGH (Lyric Video) - Cyphers 1-4 (Lyric Video) & Cypher Medley only the vocal line: - The Truth Untold (Live) - House of Cards (Live) - Dimple (Live) I was also never a boyband kinda girl... My taste is/was more stuff like Disturbed, Papa Roach, Flogging Molly etc., until I found them and I'm so glad I did. 😁👍💜 Just a note: sites like DOOLSETBANGTAN and GENIUS lyrics genius.com/search?q=BTS are the best sites for BTS lyrics. lyricism is a very important aspect of BTS' artistry. I recommend doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ for lyrics, as the translator actually takes the time to translate the songs correctly, as well as explain things like wordplay and context. doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com Asian Theory/Rise Squad is HOW they became BTS. Ida's video is WHO they are. Rosan @xCeleste is WHY. Each one touches on the other but I believe this is the best explanations of those videos. Check out An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update) by Ida S, "Who is BTS?", "This is BTS Part 1" by xCeleste, "Nobodies to Legend 2019" and finally "BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021". Also, The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2021 Update!) the previous one was The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS by The Asian Theory/Rise Squad. @JoseTV also has info vids on each member. Didn't you just define what hip hop is all about? This is very early BTS when they were all just kids, but still fine. JK would have been 15 or maybe just 16 when this was filmed
