You get a toy. You get a toy. You get a toy. Every body gets a toy. Only at a bucket head concert can you get the best guitar work. Martial arts. Robot dancing and toys. Great time
I never knew Buckethead was this personable at his shows, I’m really impressed. This man is extremely down to earth with no bullshit rockstar ego. Phenomenal guitarist and showman on top of that, BUCKETHEAD FOR PRESIDENT!!!
And he's done over 300 albums. And he's invented 4 additional tapping techniques. And designed guitars. And at 6'7" hes the same height as Arjen Lucassen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oFuMKdrzPqU.html And Arjen seldom goes on stage. But everyone else plays his music.
@@tixximmi1 He’s gotta be like one of the most ridiculously varied guitarists in music history then; the guy can play practically anything, as you said, he’s invented like four tapping techniques and designed guitars. He deserves more credit.
Imagine seeing Jimmy Page or Jeff Beck or any famous guitar player playing at a B & B for a wedding or at a record store. I was just thinking this morning how humble he is. So true.
This guy is so cool. We all know that "Buckethead doesn't speak." So he finds great ways to engage with his fans - like this; handing out toys and doing cool non-musical performance-art type things. I really, really admire and respect this guy. Watch how gentle he is tossing the toys out into the audience. I think there were some kids there and he made certain that they received some special toys. What a unique talent this guy is. I can't get enough Buckethead.
Noticed that too. He didn't fling them out like an asshole. Almost dropped them, and there were quite a few, as if he was concerned some people wouldn't get one.
Buckethead’s a fascinating artist, and his shows are genuinely one of a kind. He is also great at engaging with the audience considering he doesn’t say a word.
"Nobody cared about me until I put on the mask." - Bane I respect his talent, his creativity, and his music. Those of you who like Buckethead, dig a little deeper and see where some of his ideas came from - Shawn Lane. Even Buckethead will tell you this.
Adolph Oliver Bush I too wear a mask every damn day so I heavily identify with Bucket as I also need NO personal recognition or approval from anyone. I am grotesquely imperfect yet unique to a level of divinity that many just cannot see but all that matters is that "I" understand what makes me, ME! Life is just to short and I refuse to deprive the world of my existence but at the same time I will not force myself upon it.
GeorgeBonez I don't know what to make of your post. Are you disfigured? If so, I'm very sorry. As for your last few lines, I really like what you said. Peace to you, and may you continue to walk your own path and find your own truth.
Well, I've never seen someone called off stage for time. That was awkward, you'd expect them to have a blinking red light or something. Only discovered this guy yesterday and already I know you don't interrupt Soothsayer.
Bucket head can only play a finite number of notes per night. He was approaching his nightly limit, so Guthrie came out and stopped him from going over.
@@MilwaukeeF40C I don’t think he really cares. Buckethead often starts shows late and plays for way longer than he’s supposed to, once he literally didn’t stop playing until his high E string broke, so he just put his guitar down, waved goodnight and came offstage.
Same! I never even knew who he was until a few years back when I saw someone joking about him on a late night show. I didn't even know about him playing for GnR til last week, then I actually listened to his music. This guy is amazing. Sort of a modern day Hendrix in regards to innovation and showmanship, but Jimi is far greater. It would be cool if he had a good band, with a singer and all that. This is just sort of a exhibition.
@@fscorpion678 For technical ability alone, yes. As for musical quality, tone, innovation, songwriting, showmanship and everything else, Buckethead isn't even close. Buckethead has speed and accuracy, as well as a good stage prescence and puts on a good show. I've yet to hear anything he did that i could listen to indefinitely, like I could with almost any Hendrix song.
@@RByrne Sounds like you haven't listened to much of Buckethead's music. The dude has over 350 albums of original music spanning multiple genres and so much of it is simply fantastic. It goes way beyond his technical abilities. His compositional skills are every bit as impressive.
These videos have shown me that under the mask and bucket lies the face of one of the most innovative guitarists ever, Bruce Lee, Santa Clause, and maybe my new idol after that riff on the bass.
Thomas Ivan Gallito He actually started off with an empty box of Popeye's chicken on his head but it kept falling off. He doesn't really like KFC, it's just that their bucket fits hid head a little more snuggly. Besides, KFC is part of Yum and they own Taco Bell, and if they were to unite with Buckethead there would be no doubt that they would achieve absolute global domination. And you know what that means? That's right, nothing to eat but KFC or Taco Bell and it won't make a fraction of a fuck which one you choose because we'll all be drowning in a fucking tidal wave of diarrhea. Bon appétit.
Finally got around to watchng this one. Great job filming man! One of the best quality buckethead performances ive ever seen. Wish he played a few more songs though...
love the way it ended. his tech comes out and taps him on the shoulder mid shred and he leaves! lmfao. Buckethead is my new favorite brain stimulator!! thanx for posting!!
I tried playing guitar when I was a kid in the 60's. I had a fender acoustic and played on stage a few times when I was like 12 or so in grammar school for school pageants and stuff like that and took lessons. I had little ability and no ear and I knew I could never play like the best. I tried the best I could but it was above me and I had to give it up as I didn't want to waste any more of my dad's money on more lessons. If you like playing and can play then keep playing for your soul.
este hombre refleja todo su dolor, su arte, en el escenario su interioridad queda al desnudo en el escenario sin siquiera mostrarnos su cara, es increible. LLevo muchos años volviendo y volviendo a estos videos y nunca me cansare =D
40 years from now these kids will be telling stories of the Genius guitarist they watched play and how he was told to stop playing!...imagine Hendrix at monterey and we all know what that started!....Bucket is the new Hendrix!...many thanks for sharing this video! 😌👏🏻🌟🎸
I can not believe Buckethead had to endure axl. He should only play with guys like Les Claypool, Brain, Joe Satriani and a few others.....and his own bassist and drummer. I just saw Buckthead on Oct 5. He ripped it up in Reno. Vide of the show is on youtube if you want to see it. I got to tapped the kill switch on his guitar. I use a wheelchair and he stuck his guitar out for me to tap it. Dudes way cool. And I got a scooby doo figure.
agreed. i've only seen one myself in a guitar shop - and even then they wouldn't even take it out of the glass case unless you were 100% serious about buying it. Buckethead's Signature gibson has only two places in this world: One is in the Louvre next to other priceless works of art. The other is in Buckethead's hands.
It ends abruptly because this was at a free festival in SF and it had to end at the specified time. Bucket was late getting onstage and was playing as long as possible.
Buckethead has the same face as rapper Machine Gun Kelly. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly looked exactly like the young Buckethead unmasked when he played Tommy Lee in The Dirt. 🎭🎨🥁🎸
holy shit, I cant believe that guy stopped him, mid song, & then he just packed his shit & left! I would be pissed if that happened, jeeez that was one of the most incredible songs Ive ever heard until that point. LOL nice post , thanks! :)
idiot thats P-sticks, one of his best friends. He helps him get places on tour and sets up. He is one of the nicest people and most hard working people in show business along with bucket.
19:57 Chopsticks- "Hey Bucket, it's gettin' dark. We gotta head back to the chicken coup" Buckethead- "For real? Lemme finish this solo and then.. aw fuck it. Let's split."
19:52 - Shit this concert is going awesome 19:55 - Hey Buckethead, bad news, Slash is trying to destroy the world again 20:09 - Damn when that asshole will learn? 20:14 - Sorry, I have to leave, my planet needs me! Goodbye! 20:20 - *Epic farewell*
I don't think it's a homeless guy; check out the beginning of this live Buckethead concert, it's the same guy helping him out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n4bply6Ibqw.html
@slowgo93 I agree, it does suck.. But when you play at a venue or in this case, a music festival, there are other artists playing as well.. so each artist has a set amount of time to play their set.
A guy that shreds like that has probably spent thousands of hours perfecting his riffs.. no guitarist is naturally that good. You can have a gift that you understand what you're doing and fingers are fast and flexible.. but from kids to Buckethead it takes months of long days and nights to get as good as some of those kids and years to get like buckethead
correction: there ARE 2 versions. as of today on gibson.com you can purchase the studio version for $1,899 or the signature (exact one he's playing during this set) for $4,311.
