Our Suffering reduces when others around us suffer less. Removing "I "is a practice that is needed to be cultivated holistically
@eddy0603
@eddy0603 3 года назад
It's actually much simpler than that, it is taught by the very Vipassana Meditation. But sadly it seems like many wander around Buddhism to seek for other "teachings" and forgotten the point. Seeking the gold coins in a burried treasure rather than the Gem. Suffering is simply "resisting" reality. Whenever you want something or you don't want something, that is not "part" of this reality- This Now, you suffer. For example (of wanting), you're sitting in your room and you want a candy- but there's no candy that can be obtained immediately. You suffer. The reality is you're in your room with no candy, but in your mind you want a candy- which is absent in the reality. You suffer. Another example (of not wanting), you're working your usual job- but you don't want to. You suffer. The reality is you're in your workplace doing your job. But in your mind you don't want to be working- which is absent in the reality. You suffer. The key is accepting the "reality" The now and here. There's only now and here. Whenever you want something that is not now and here or you dont want something that is already in now and here- You Suffer. This is why The Buddha strictly restrain from the 2 Extremes which is Self-Indulgance (dependant on wanting) and Self-Affliction (dependant on not wanting). All you need to do is to Accept Completely the Reality that is here and now- Not Attaching and Not Resisting. Not wanting what's not in here and now and Not dont wanting what's already in here and now.

@@eddy0603 You are welcome. To add more yours was a good analysis. I can say you are in the right path. And that is what Buddha Dhamma means, our own realisation of the true nature of our own existence, because we crave to exist and then suffer due to craving/wanting/desires and attachments. Dissolve all by reasoning... Metta to you, may you be happy, safe and free from suffering, may all sentient beings enjoy the same, from an ex Evangelical Christian.

Once buddha said that everyone is capable of enlightenment but not everyone wanted to be enlightened. When i see people around me they are suffering but they are not seeking the ultimate truth. After reading your #Eddy Burg and #Time to Reason comments , i feel that there are some people who are on the same path with me. we just need to work little harder , we will definitely find the path of ultimate truth.

I was truly blessed to have an uncle who studied to be a monk. As a child I was exposed to Buddhism (but didn't truly embrace it until adulthood, silly youth I was). But the invaluable exposure and teachings I have learned has made my quest to study Buddhism so much sweeter and continue to learn from others on the teachings of Buddha. If I had to choose my one word, it would be "why"

How uniquely different from Vedic Hinduism. Nowhere related to them in the core teachings. This video sums up the separation. Well done Dare to do. And this is all about Buddha Dhamma, no caste, no pantheon of gods, no animal sacrifices, no rituals, no transmigratory souls, no incarnation, no union with the creator Brahma [moksha] and the list goes on!!! Cheers mate.

Absolutely, yes. But it is called ''cultural appropriation'' as Buddha was born in one of Mahajanapadas, [not in India or Nepal] and spoke the language of the time but now happened to be part of Union of India [and again NOT a one country either] so they claim everything theirs

My sister is suffering from a illness these days . And she is little and I am bothering about it. I cant see how she is having pain. So it is very painful moment now. But I try to understand as a human we have to experience many bad things again and again. We cant expect what is next. So I decided to live with less desires and a mentality to withstand whatever comes to my life and my loved ones.
@thetruthseeker5448
@thetruthseeker5448 3 года назад
Sorry to hear about your pain and I admire the path you have taken. My own life is in a dire situation due Covid pandemic and our age. My family is scattered in three different western nations, getting old and having complex age related issues as well. We have one kid each and are teens with their health issues too. I am dying to see my family at least to share few last moments if inevitable happens, let alone a big family reunion. As a new comer to Buddha Dhamma I take the wisdom of it, so does all my family now, hence we agree not to regret. Take one moment at a time as we all are mortals. We do not have desires to cling on to now but share good memories. Now we all know more the we crave for longer life, and all the desires our lives would be more miserable. As Buddhist we truly understand the reality and live within that framework yet we have not forgotten the endless love, kindness, compassion and mercy that we as humans could extend to all sentient beings at this moment [edit to add: as Buddha taught us], and this is one outcome of it, to you from me, in Metta We all are happy that we found Buddha Dhamma in our lives now even though we are not experts. Even though we live in wealthy nations with all creature comforts, we have similar emotions and suffering as others and our little knowledge in Buddha Dhamma has taught us lessons; never take any to granted, nothing is eternal [concept of impermanence of all Dhamma], do not crave, do not get attached to any, keep doing what needs to be done, live at this moment as future has not arrived yet.

I felt the only way to end suffering is to be in nature , observe the nature who supports us without asking back spend some time in nature each day and serve others(give back). Another most important which even pandemic taught us is to be conscious of our breath , for breath is life. I have seen when I stop doing any of these 3 things I tend to suffer and become sad. Hence they are have become indispensable part of life 🙏🙏

Buddhism is all based on the techinque of Vipassana. This techinque taught us that all causes of suffering are within us in inside and not in outside. So if u want to find a peace of mind please learn the technique of Vipassana which was found by budhha. There are multiple centers of Vipassana in India and its absolutely free. I will recommend each and everyone just try this techinque once and you will find results for sure. I'm experiencing the same after doing Vipassana. These all centers are runed by Goyenka guruji who brought this original Buddhism techinque in its original form and spreading to millions of people. Thank you so much for taught us such a wonderful techinque founded by Budhha in its original form.

When Buddha experienced enlightenment, he worried over how to possibly teach anyone else the way (to enlightenment). He nearly turned his back on the sufferings of humanity until compassion overtook his doubts and he realized he could teach to the capacity of the people, slowly exposing them to more profound ideas and states of being For the next forty years he taught many Sutras: The Flower Garland Sutra, The Medicine King Sutra, etc. helping his disciples along the Noble path. But it took many lifetimes to expiate one's past karma. So slow. Nonetheless, the Buddha Nature is inherent in the lives of all living beings. It's one of the Ten Worlds, the others being the 1. World of Hell, "Rage is the world of Hell," 2. World of Hungry Spirits, or World of Hunger, "Greed is the World of Hunger," 3. Animals, "Standing in fear of the strong, but despising, and preying upon those weaker than oneself." 4. Asuras (Anger), 5. Human Beings, 6. Heavenly Beings, 7. Voice Hearers (those who hear the truth and recognize it), 8. Cause Awakened Ones, 9. Bodhisattva, 10. Buddha (Nature) It is impossible to have no desire. If desire were eliminated, there would be no 'desire' to seek the Buddha Way along with putting down the second ice cream cone. It is, however, possible to eliminate the 'suffering' of desire.

By which man can understand himself and this world better.If a person does not remove ignorance and illusion from his conscience, then how will he reach the other end of ultimate bliss and liberation, whether by worship or rituals ,he will always be there on this end of ignorance. There is more suffering in the physical existence than not. Even in your dreams you can suffer. How do you escape suffering? How do you capture fulfillment? Fulfillment...the opposite of suffering? Can you BE fulfilled when seeing another suffer? Buddha...could he really be fulfilled in this physical realm? Seeing the suffering on going? Even though he may have risen above it? But really above it? The only fulfillment Buddha felt, was when he taught someone and they listened. No Buddhist can be fulfilled until all sentient beings are. Because the all are/is the one. The whole. That is us.

@@saaiakhashsivakumaar8042 You are welcome bro. Pali Canon and Abidharma are core heavy textual teachings of the Theravada tradition [the oldest form] and that is the 'holy grail', bit too much for a novice, but that is the centre-point of all teachings. If you are interested in such [heavy stuff] I recommend you to watch Doug's Dharma on YT as he is a scholar and his videos are based directly from the Pali Cannon and Abidharma pitaka. Dhammapada is the summery of *ALL teachings* for day to day recollection / reflection. Cheers.
