Today I compare two budget dive watches, the legendary Casio Duro and the Timex Navi XL. I picked the new Duro with green bezel because I think it's a great Rolex Submariner Starbucks alternative for $60.

It would be great if they did a 40mm duro in addition to the 44. I would definitely pick one up if casio made it in 40mm 🤞

I had the same thoughts when I first knew about the 44mm... But when I wore it... It actually appears smaller n fits my small wrist pretty well. 😊

Fully agree… i dont think they look to bad, but my brain likes 37-41mm… any bigger it clunks around a little much… i would wear my duro more if it was a little smaller… now i only wear it to look nice… constantly fiddling with it though… cant “forget about it” being there

Great video. In my opinion, Casio beat Timex in every category. Best value for money, hands down. And I love the 44mm case / 22mm strap combo. But there should be a 40mm/20mm combo so more folks can enjoy them too.

Duro is great for the price. Like mentioned before, a 40mm version would be really nice. Keep those videos coming!

I love the timex! For any practical reason you go for the Duro. But if you like the looks of the Timex (and it happens to be cheaper in your part of the world) then it is a much closer fight between the two. I will probably have both in the future.

It will be so easy for them to make a smalle duro since the module is so small. I have a 7.5" wrist so have no prob with the size, but can see the issue. 40mm would be ideal

I have a large wrist (7-5/8" or 19.4mm), so my gold Duro fits me well. I don't dive, so I replaced the band with a "Bond type" NATO strap that I cut off the extra loop. Very accurate watch. Mine is between +/- 1 to 2 seconds a month. I picked mine up for $40, from Amazon, 3 months ago. The Duro might not be ideal for people with small wrists. I also have a 40mm field watch, and on my wrist, it looks like one of those old 36mm watches.

the Casio Duro is more stylish, accurate and affordable- it wins in my book so I bought two and I am one happy customer😁

The Casio takes up almost the entire width of my arm but it's not uncomfortable. Only wish it was 4mm smaller.

I like the look of the Navi but the specs and functions of the Duro. The Duro seems a bit dressy for my liking. I really like a subtle looking Duro with maybe even a brushed or black case and bezel. Almost like the Luminox 3050 but not. Just not a fan for some reason. Anyone have anything similar they would suggest I look at? ~ JJ

The real deal breaker on the Timex is no screw-back case. I hate having to pry open the case to swap batteries, I always end up leaves scratches.

I prefer the look of the timex, but it not having a screw down crown killed it. What were they thinking? How are you going to dive with a watch that doesn't have a screw down crown..?

It doesn't even have a screw-back case, it's just pop off to change batteries, I wouldn't be surprised if the WR was more like 30m.

No one should swim with anything below 20bar watches anyway. I atleast wouldn't trust a watch under that level.

Where are you finding your perlons? I've never seen them in the traditional NATO style with the under keeper.

I just added a link in the description. I ran into that issue with some perlons after stumbling across the Time+ perlons. The Time+ have the nato style, the others I've bought do not have that.

I love my Casio Duro so much I gave it to my son then of course I missed it so much I had to buy another now I think I'll buy a third one because I wanted different color because the blacks boring and my Seiko's at all black

You are one of the few that gravitate to the Timex. The Duro has a cult following and Casio has sold over 600,000 Duros.

The duro makes so much more sense. Technically it's better in every way and it's way cheaper. I just like the Timex's vibe.

The Timex, especially for the prince, is terrible. And the clairity is terrible as well. And I have to say I'm not a fan of Timex.... Was around for their "keep a licking and keeps on ticking" BS. And it was and is BS. There are so many more watches, at that price that are WORLDS better than the Timex. BTW not a fan but have managed to distroy many, as it was/is a popular brand. I was getting one every X-mas and birthday for a number of years. And in my experience with Timex, it would be have difficulty in a heavy rain, let alone getting it actually wet.
