Ran a 540 trail master in my redcat forever. Only swapped it to upgrade to a 540 revolver and crawl master v3 esc. The trail master ended up in my 10.3 Basecamp.

Love the retro sports. They are amazing and the only motors i run exclusively on Kyosho legendary series. 90% of the time i also run them in my Tamiya’s. I find the 19t to be especially good on both torque and top end. The 19t would be about the equivalent to a dirt tuned tamiya motor as far as specs but with better cooling and longer life with no maintenance. 17t are a slight bump up from a sport tuned tamiya as far a specs and are perfect from someone who wants something a litte faster than a sport tuned but with better torque. Thanks for offering the retro line. Truly the best motors you can buy for the money, better than most higher priced units 👍🤟

Yeah, I like these, I ordered a few of them from US, but shipping and import taxes meant I haven't got any for a while now... I got the Retro Sport ones in Tamiya and Kyosho buggies, both rwd and 4wd, mostly powered by a HW1080 and 2s LiPo, they are really nice and got proper power for these light plastic buggies. If you want, you can go check some videos I got, I think I put the motor names in video description, should be easy enough to find, leave a comment if you do. 😉

550 27 t trail master in scx10 3 jeep heavy truck. Smooth and plenty of wheel speed and drag brake. The esc has adjustable drag brake for climbing hills. The motor never fails to hold in extreme drag brake situations. Its not a comp truck so there is no need for a 200 $ motor. Currently its hard to justify a 200 dollar brushless system. So pleased with the motor i will always run holmes motors in my crawlers . It also makes a cool sound. The motor is 2 years old. Like 3 s for power but it also runs fine on 2 s. Cant beat the price. At our local crawler canyon location many of the drivers use the out runners by holmes to compete. Those motors are amazing brushless systems.

Retro sport for really old Tamiya kit... Cool! But then again there is something to be said about retro fitting a 13T "mod" motor with a 3S lipo into an old Grasshopper (it's the most useless & crazy (scary actually given it's total lack of controlability) RC of my line up)... But I sure do like the CrawlMaster Sport 550 13T I put into my flyweight SCX II. :-)

Fun truck but be careful about the spare tire carrier of the rear cage. Pretty easy to snap.

@@yonicozac I have the pro version but only run one spare. Had a bad luck front flip that snapped the rear bar and the bar in front of the tire. I suggest using some carbon rod to make a support to brace everything together.

So this is completely off topic but I've only found one really high grade brushless motor for the 24 scale and I have not tried your brush motors yet I do have them but I am a brushless guy I don't run brush very much didn't know if you was ever thought about coming out with your own version of a brushless motor for that scale
