IMHO, the GSG16 is an ugly gun so I understand the need to pimp but spending a fortune on a conversion kit that cost nearly as much as the entire rifle is down right insane, WTF? So for the budget minded, things you can do without spending a bundle.
Why the GSG-16 look ugly was not entirely their fault. It's the result of a decade long Dress Infringement lawsuit battles they had with H&K to which they lost but rising prices of airsoft furniture and freight are making it harder to pimp now adays compared to 2 years ago so not everybody can afford it. Especially, the conversion kits, last price I saw a kit sold at was C$300 (Mar 2022), a crazy 1000% increase over the past two years.

Ignore all these dudes saying it looks bad, I think it looks awesome! Although it doesn't look as refined factory finish, I think it gives the gun lots of character, like it has seen (ww2) action:) Once I get a dremel and some of the bits, I might give it a shot. Super sleek look compared to the original. 10/10 mod keep up the good work!!

Love the switching the stock lever trick and will be doing it to mine but some of the grinding and sanding of parts just looks horrible to me but that's jus me. If ya don't have the $$ to each his own.... 😊

I appreciate your honesty. the stock ended up as a back up plan. I'm happy with the grip for my first try. these were not meant to look perfect, meant to look crude. I'm sure if you want it to look better then you could take your time which I didn't have. remember, the point of this is not spend any money . Hava nice day.

Lol this was just a funny first comment to see lol. I like the work and new look. Prefer the quad rail look because it’ll match the battle AK1 by Crosman 😂… Just my style. Will do same look with AR

Hey man nice video! I'm having problems with my gsg-16 about 15000 rounds in I started to get way too many light strikes. Should I disassemble the bolt and clean the firing pin? Seems like a tedious process so I haven't tried it yet. I disassembled the trigger a few times to clean it without issue though.
@TheTeehee11111

An other change I recommend is the charging handle. Mine broke about 10000 rounds in so I replaced it with a bigger, better quality one.

Yep I was just watching you last video two years ago where you mention it will cost $10 for cyma stock I've been looking for one for about 2 weeks now and all of them are either out of thought or over $100 if you go overseas you'll find it for $25 but bear the price of $100 shipping fee I'm 2 years late i suppose

$100 each??? Don't pay the ridiculous shipping charges. I paid about $25 shipping per furniture.

It's not at no cost, but good effort.
@SevenSixTwo2012
@SevenSixTwo2012 2 года назад
Interesting concepts and an A+ for effort, but unfortunately there's no real way of hacking away pieces of this firearm with home gamer tools and making it look presentable from closer than 7 feet away. The plastic discoloration and cut marks are jumping out like a scolded cat. Resale value on the used market will tank as well, as no one in their right mind would pay top dollar for a Bubba'd firearm that was budget to begin with. So.... until a third party manufacturer makes an MP5 dress up kit for it (unlikely, but possible), the GSG-16 will remain what it is : a vague MP5 look-alike HK lawsuit offspring.
@gnutzguy
@gnutzguy 2 года назад
presentable? resale value? lol.... you stumbled into the wrong channel bud. you are looking for "i cant do anything myself so i let gunsmith do everything for me" channel, lol. a large part of my channel is DIY which i call Hack&Mod which you didnt notice is in the title. and yes, its not done in a work shop with machinery which ofcos most of my subscribers dont have.... you have a nice day.
@SevenSixTwo2012

@@gnutzguy So what's is the point of hacking away pieces of a gun and making it look like it just got seized in the bad part of the ghetto by LAPD? Unless someone wants to end up on Brandon Herrera's "most cursed gun images", they should just put the hack saw and Dremel down with this one, lol. As for DIY gunsmithing, there's plenty of stuff one can do to a wooden stock or metal parts in order to make them look legit and often better than the originals. I've done those things myself, too. That said, a gun made entirely out of plastic is in the "do not attempt or you'll regret it" category. An awesome day to you as well, sir. As I said, you get an A+ for effort and your video is actually quite appreciated. It shows the end result of what the imagination struggles to predict, lol! 👍
@gnutzguy
@gnutzguy 2 года назад
yeah, you still dont get it. let me see if i can explain it in another way.... you keep harping on presentable, looking legit. the only looks im concern about is to me. i honestly dont care what anybody thinks. i put my mods out there for free, you can pick and chose what you like to do. if you dont like it then leave it. some will do better than me and i like to think bcos they learned from me. others will fail, at least they tried. the whole point of my cannel is to share my ideas and help others do mods to please ourselves. also have fun doing it and not worry about looking legit, resale values. these are not investments, that is what the stock market is for. honestly, mod is mod, regardless of what materials they are made of.
@SevenSixTwo2012
@SevenSixTwo2012 2 года назад
@@gnutzguy Ok, fair enough. The reason I "harp" on these types of defacing mods is because as a once young and enthusiastic gun owner, I too did some "DIY gunsmithing" to some pieces to make them look "tacticool" that I later regretted deeply - like modding a genuine SKS-D into an ugly AK/SVD-lookalike, because others were doing it in the late 90's. These guns were cheap back then and regarded pretty much as worthless garbage. Not so much today. It seemed cool at the time, but now I realize that I screwed up a few pieces which became collector items, plus tanked their values by doing so. If I could go back in time and kick myself in the ass, I would. Therefore unsuspecting newbies should be warned to think twice before going medieval with Dremels and hacksaws on their small gun collections. A $200 gun could be worth $1000 in 15 years, if left unmolested. That said, I get the intent of this video. My issue is that I don't agree that someone should actually attempt most of such destructive and irreversible mods, as they will more than likely regret it in the future.
@gnutzguy
@gnutzguy 2 года назад
regrets sucks. too bad you have them. you have to think of guns as a hobby not an investment. much like car and motorcycle guys. they spent hours customizing/tinkering perfectly good cars and nobody says anything. they paint flames on the sides of cars which was an "IN THING" back then but today, nobody else wants that, at least those car guys did. what you describe is not new. previous generation did it to Lee Enfield. they couldnt sporterized them fast enough. they were selling for $30 when i was a kid in the 70s. today the same one sells $400 so even mod ones went up. sure, not as high as a unmolested one but they got the extra value by having fun tinkering. btw, i live in canada, i use to mod the hell out of the VZ58, im glad i did cos the government banned that gun two years ago so you see, your $200 be worth a $1000 in 15 years is not a sure thing. the only sure thing in life is today. have fun now.
