Shogun Paws it can be anywhere from 10 to 30 days, usually they are averaging around 15 days though. I got mine in 16 days :) I hope you get your stuff soon, 8 weeks is horrible

@@BlackBearOutdoors just got it last week and I've already put 1,000 rounds through it and it shoots like a dream. Love this gun to death i tell you. Everything from nice CCI's, to dirty reloads from the range, to the 525 bulk Remington ammo, it just kept firing no matter what I fed it.

My first instinct would be to check the ammo. Semi auto's sometimes just do not like a specific load. Try it with some cheap bulk ammo and some good CCI ammo. Also make sure, especially if its new, to clean and lube it with CLP or something before taking it out. I am 90% sure the ammo is the culprit though. Let us know what your results are. Mine like anything 1050FPS and above.

Make sure you're using high velocity ammo. It won't cycle light loads.

Strange. I have not had anything like that myself. I would contact GSG if I were you.

Just a suggestion, I would soak the bolt in cleaning solution. Use a tooth brush to scrub it clean, dry it off, apply a small amount a gun oil and reassemble. Only time I’ve ever had a light strike issue with my GSG 16 is when the bolt face was dirty and gritty.

Had the same issue with mine, completely disassembled bolt and trigger group, and by completely, I mean unscrewing everything and removing all of the pins. After that I sprayed everything with rem action cleaner and wiped/brushed/qtipped it all dry and shiny, applied dry lube so it doesn’t get dirty with unburned powder and other stuff if clp used. Well, I shot two mags with 2 light primer strikes in each, with 4 types of ammo, and my charging handle broke in half, and after that I sold it. Now I got the newer version waiting to be shipped out to me

The picture has a cheap little Barska reflex sight and in the video I use a Vortex Sparc AR. I am currently trying a cheap little Tasco .22 magnified scope for fun :) Thanks for supporting our channel!

@@janisareeves5935 It really depends on what you would like to use it for. Shooting inside 100yards a red dot sight is nice and fast to get on target. I personally like the Vortex SPARC AR and the Holosun ones. They are really good and won't break the bank either. The red dot allows you to shoot both eyes open also. If you want to try and shoot tiny groups a magnified optic might be a good idea. Hope this helps

I am not sure amount the 522 SD but the GSG 16 is very light weight. Up here a .22 can have standard capacity magazines. So the GSG 16 comes with 2 x 22 round mags. There is also a 110round drum available. Thanks for supporting our channel :)

The original 522 is make of metal the new gsg16 is more of polymer so it's leaa weight but the 522 is more solid ,they stopped making the 522 cuz they got sued if i had one I'd hold on it

As far as I am aware they are proprietary mags. Hope this helps. You do get a drum mag for it as far as I know.

.22LR would not be my first choice as a defensive caliber.

@@2ndamendmententhusiast828 .22 would get the job done in a pinch but there are more suitable calibers for defence. That is just my opinion though. 22 can be very lethal so it is not to be underestimated.

@@tinocontreras5105 it is a rifle, it's a 16" barrel. I just bought this in black with this stock from Bud's Guns.

The CCI standard was what I would call regular, and yes that was fine in mine. Be aware the rifle is technically made for High velocity rounds. I would always suggest starting off with some hot loads to work things in a bit and then switch to lower velocity rounds. Hope this helps. Thanks for supporting our channel!

If you live in an apartment or townhouse with immediate neighbors and you're concerned about over penetration, then yes. Some high velocity rounds of .22lr from a 16 inch barrel can be very devastating. The key with this caliber is to put several rounds on target (at least 5) which you can do accurately and very fast due to its low recoil. Now some will argue that 22lr is not a reliable caliber and that you're likely to have malfunctions while shooting it, but that's why you have to spend some time at the range. There're plenty of people who have shoot this particular rifle without issues specially after the break in period.

Chambered in .22lr avoid using for self defense/home defense. Get a shotgun

J A heard I own a 9mm when I bought the gsg I went in for a 12gage but I let the looks of this gun get me but I will be buying a shotgun and an M&P 15 soon

It took me a long time to come to the conclusion, but I'd argue this might be one of the *best* home defense guns. 1) It looks intimidating. MOST people will be scared off by the presence of a gun and the more intimidating it looks, the more likely they'll back down and flee. Nobody wants to put their life on the line for petty theft. This is the best possible outcome as you won't be locked up for weeks or months awaiting trial (assuming you can't make bail) to prove you acted in self-defense when you shot at an intruder and they died. 2) .22lr has almost no recoil and it means with very little training/practice you should be able to easily shoot a full mag on target at the distances you'll engage in the real world (10 yards or less, more than that would be hard to defend in court). Compare that to almost anything else where the barrel will jump around with every shot and you'll need 5x as long to aim the next shot. I'll take 5 shots of .22 on target over 1 shot of something larger grazing them. 3) .22lr out of a rifle is the only weapon that is hearing-safe without a suppressor or hearing protection. This means if you have to use your gun, you won't have to give up some or all of your hearing to use it in an emergency. Alternatively, you'd have to pay something like $1200+ for the suppressor, threaded barrel or barrel threading, and NFA tax stamp, or keep a pair of active electronic hearing protection next to your gun and take the time to put them on before facing an attacker. 4) .22lr is surprisingly effective as long as it's not used against body armor. If you search RU-vid, you'll see videos of large multi hundred pound hogs and even cows taken down with a single shot of .22lr. A world record bear was killed with a .22lr rifle back in the 50's. If I can take down a giant bear, it can take down any human threatening your life. 5) This particular gun is reliable. While .22lr often gets a reputation for being too unreliable for defense, with modern high quality ammo and a well engineered modern gun, it's actually about as reliable as just about any gun as long as you clean it every few hundred rounds and lubricate the necessary parts (but not overlubricate, it shouldn't be pouring oil out of every orifice, this is as likely to cause problems as under-oiling). Bottom line, put a few hundred rounds through the gun to make sure it's good and test a few rounds from the batch of ammo you plan to use to make sure there isn't a high failure rate. The people that say .22 is unreliable are people shooting worn out, poorly maintained weapons and using the cheapest of cheap bulk ammo. That, or they just have a defective weapon, which will happen from time to time with anything. Bonus) Shotguns are actually crappy home defense weapons. The biggest limitation is lack of capacity, even the longest tubes only hold about 8 rounds. If you have a few people you're up against you will likely run out of ammo and reloading a shotgun under pressure is not easy. Furthermore, if it's a pump shotgun, it's very easy to short stroke it and not load another round, which can be enough time to get overrun. Don't even get me started on the noise level, expect to likely never hear again if you have to shoot a shotgun indoors without hearing protection. Lastly, shotguns have a tremendous lack of precision so you could have BBs headed toward family member rooms or other places you didn't aim. Oh, and if you're not a particularly large/heavy/strong person, a 12 GA shotgun is likely to knock you on your ass if you're not extremely prepared for the recoil. Again, not what you want in this situation.

Real suppressors are NFA weapons, meaning they have to be registered with the ATF and require a $200 tax stamp and a long waiting period. The fake suppressor on it is simply for aesthetics.

I dont believe it has a threaded barrel so no.

@@garmin1488 If you are looking for a good red dot on a budget I would look at Vortex. They are solid and have a lifetime warranty. For a .22 I would get a little Vortex Crossfire or something. Hope that helps
