That's awesome, a steal of a deal. A FM Trainmaster and a 736 are on my list for purchases this year, and a Virginian would be cool.

Talk about timing…I just purchased a Williams blue/yellow Virginian F-M Trainmaster, NIB, for $200 at a local train show. It has 2 motors, horn/bell, but no other amenities. I felt it was a fair price for it, as inflation has even affected prices on used trains and related items greatly.

You have no idea how helpful this is. A few months ago I bought a K-Line GG-1 on ebay. About $100 with shipping, no returns. It is in brand new condition. I find that the rear motor isn't working. I think I can now tackle the motor removal. I've read that there have been reports of metal chips in the gear train.

My guess regarding the flaking paint is that they either didn’t prime that area or did a substandard job. Looks good in the video.

Hello Dave, Congratulations on your new engine! I have the same exact engine with TMCC and I love it, I got it from Trainz about 9 months ago- the only thing I needed to do was replace 2 of the traction tires. Good luck with it. A+++
