Looks like the same Rev9 kit I have on my DA. For some reason I had to cut the flange off the downpipe and rotate it quite a bit to get the downpipe to bolt on, other than that, things were pretty good. I cut up the intercooler pipe a bit and did a bit of a back door style. Was a really good way to spend money to get the build going, swapped out a few parts along the way or upgraded, but I'm glad I went with the cheap china kit route.
I’ve yet to figure out what car that damn eBay down pipe will actually bolt up to correctly. They list the same one for pretty much everything 90s but I swear it doesn’t actually bolt up right to anything. I’ve tried 92 Si, 93 Si Del Sol both D16. And a 1996 Civic with a B18b1, so I feel like all bases covered and it didn’t bolt up right to any of them. 😂
@@SlowDelSol Yeah I went to bolt it on and went....uhhh.... huh? So yeah I cut the flange off at the welds, rotated it, and I do believe I had to add a little sliver to get it to clear the oil pan aswell. It's a hacky downpipe, but it works.
That would be a super fun little street ripper. Yep, same thing happens to me. Get rolling good on projects and shop goes from busy to swamped. Just like your black Betty mustang, I feel like my turbo Camaro is never gonna get done. I can't complain tho, I'd rather have more work then not enough and it funds all the projects.
It’s so much cheaper to buy the parts individually on eBay. It’s all the same China parts anyways. They just add their logo to a few key parts but it’s all coming from the same handful of suppliers.
@@hondaland_ The little shit still adds up and depending on your hp goals you would still need injectors, fuel pump, ecu & a piggyback or chipped, bov, wastegate, map sensor, wideband, intercooler, oil drain bung, exhaust piping, vbands and clamps if the turbo or bov & wastegate is vband style.. my turbo "kit" I bought from I Treadstone didn't come complete and I had to buy alot of shit separate. It definitely adds up.. Personally I wouldnt recommend Treadstone kits they are garbage imo, manifold is nothing but junk. Breaks the bolts or strips the threads I've had to replace the WG bolts 5 times and helicoil it twice. The exhaust nuts hit off the manifold because the casting is wrong. 8 out of 9 studs broke. Plus I've replaced 5 turbo bolts aswell. And thats not even a year of driving yet. Not fun replacing broken bolts time after time. I have 1 bolt holding the wastegate once because the pos snapped another bolt a couple weeks back. Lmao sure is fun
My biggest problem with logging, and HTS in general, is it seems like any time its updated, or reinstalled, it makes a new folder in the system, and that folder holds all the display settings, emulator and logging settings, and generally everything that you 'tweak' when you start getting comfortable with tuning software (imperial or metric, value mins and max, etc) Also, when first getting my hulog and FDTI adapter setup to log, either after an install, update, or using a new laptop, I really have to fuck around with the drivers, checking com settings, and generally fruit around with things to make sure everythings happy.
@@770hood Ostrich 2.0, and Xtreme hulog, or generic adapter. Yes the logging works, sampling rate and how much info you want to log may corrupt it. It's common for a lot of guys, newer versions of HTS have improved this, and turned up the response time for a lot of the non-crutial logs, that don't need high resolution . (IE temp)
Seems to be an issue when settings are set to ostrich. When using my cobra or demon I have no issues. When and if I do I use 1.9 to just get the car tuned and done.
Hey I just found your video I've got questions... What do I need to rebuild d16y5 engine to turbo upgrade? I don't want to k or B series swap, too expensive
This is my sedan. Been running just as good as the first day i got it back from the dyno granted it was running almost perfectly before i turboed it but nonetheless runs really good dont drive it everyday because of work but i take it out for a rip every couple days wouldn't doubt i could daily it the tune is 💯
I would grab a moates ostrich with all these chipped honda's so you can tune on the fly mate rather than keep flashing the chip every time you make an adjustment
@@HunterTuned I run ostrich 2.0 aswell. I could probably help you get it solved. Most of my issues I was ranting about on the other post had more to do with the ostrich than the hulog, and also that I kept forgetting I need to be key-on to log, and killing power to the ECU would end the log.
@@HunterTuned I also put a hc05 Bluetooth module in all mine to datalog too. Then the owners can link to it via tunerview for Android and monitor everything/have a custom digital dash using a tablet
Sometimes you need to reconfigure your HTS settings after an update, I like to copy over the settings folder when I re-install HTS or update, or move to another system.
You should invest in the moates emulator so you dont have to constantly re burn the chip I use it on my street tunes and I love it 😆 cause my moates hulog dont work and that’s kinda how I do a tune without burning like 5 times
@@Cozel I'd rather tune on HTS. Not limited to one piece of hardware or software with the chipping stuff and emulators. Hondata is just a proprietary overpriced emulator and software. Plug and play but I'd rather have a fuel tech at those prices
I love my demon 2. Has on board data logging. Extra analog pins. Knows on it's own if your datalogging via wire or Bluetooth or on board on its own. Unlike my CobraRTP needing a utility to swap between wireless and wired but the cobras are plug and play as well. Love those too. Just doesn't have the ability to record logs to the emulator board like a demon or hondata can
hows it going hunter big fan im building a little turbo single cam do you tune as a hobby? or can i take my civic to you get it tuned? where you located?
@@HunterTuned ahh im in miami. what do you think i should push my stock y8 as of psi im gonna get little things like fuel pump injectors. also what should i do as of ecu s300? or do i get a chip? thanks for your time im trying to get as informed as possible before i go buying stuff thanks for your time @HunterTuned
