You did a killer job man! I’m sorry you had to battle my ecu I had no idea it was that bad! Next time it’s back I’ll have that 58/55 turbo, better ecu, and a better tps!
@@northwoodsrippers9639 check your jumper harness as well cause I had a similar looking jumper harness and I got another p28 it was fine for a month then back to the same lean jerky crap. I bought a better jumper and fixed problem permanently. I hope it's just a ecu. I like your build alot and I have alot of similar goals. Just running the long block n/a until I buy the clutch and turbo I haven't decided yet.
I just finished up tuning the green ef hatch on my channel last Tuesday! Long rod vitara setup with stock cam On pump, we made 342/275 @20lbs Turbo is a gtx3576r. I’m really happy with the power it made! Video will be out on Wednesday if you wanna check it out!
I'm running the 5855 VSR unit on my D16, it's a great turbo. Stock D16Y7 block and Z6 head ran 117mph on 12psi on E85, on a motor with only 135psi compression. Now I've finally finished my vitara setup, on 160psi compression, and I'm planning to run arpund 25psi, hoping for similar results! This is all in a baby Insight though
hell yeah a real turbo n that thing will make some serious power (i have overspun 3 of them exact turbos) but regardless nice build fam n killer tuning hunter .. peace n love keep it rad stay safe n build on l8z
Check the main fuel pump relay I've already to re solder mine and my uncles. The car would buck and lose fuel for a second then it started dying and leaving him stranded for awhile and mine did the same also. When mine would lose complete contact it wouldn't let me connect my obd2 scanner to it. It would say to make sure the key is turned on or my ecu wasn't connected. Crazy. But 2 solder joints were cracked on his, and he would punch his dashboard to get it to start again. It's on the passenger side right behind the glove box. Mine had 3 solder joints cracked. Just reheat it up and set. 👍🏽 this might be the issue or might not, lol.
Hey hunter tune I see on your website you have “decapped injectors for LS Honda “.. I was wondering if they would work for a d16 and if they do are they good enough for 400ish hp
great ! i do my D15B2 turbo in this way , always 10° timing with 27 pounds off boost ? like you i do smal timing , with E85 i prefer this , it's give me good result . Dav from Francedone
@@HunterTuned I hear you, its interesting that the owner spent all that money on a bunch of quality parts and stuck a China charger on there, you would think a vs turbo atleast. It'd be awesome if you have any insight, I also have a comp stage 4 clutch. How many ft/lb have you found they hold up too?
he can try throwing that ecu in the oven. take the board out of the case and let it sit in the oven while it preheats to 450. once it gets to 450 take it out after a couple mins. it'll reflow all the joints and probably fix the issue.
Better to just ask someone to touch all the solder joints who knows their way around an iron imho. I like to touch it with some thin fresh solder as well. It's easy stuff for someone who solders boards often, but don't make it your first diy kinda difficulty.
