Fishing at Budle Bay in Northumberland near Bamburgh. A relatively clean sandy bottomed tidal bay with camping nearby #fishing #fishingtips #fishingtackle
I've had nice bass from our coastline, ragworm is an excellent bait for them and ideally a bit of surf helps no end! Druridge and Camois are both good spots to try. Good luck. @@fishinghinny
Budle can be very good at times. I used to fish there regularly and found that fishing light with a spinning rod and a drilled bullet ledger worked well.
Try adding about 10 white beads just above the hook, drilled bullet weight. Cast out and very very slow retrieve, literally one turn every ten seconds or so. The movement attracts the fish, and helps defeat the cfrabs. ( who said there’s no F in crabs….)
Well done again Hinny, great stuff & a night's camping too ! Keep up the good work, but do speak up if you fancy a day inshore boat fshing, no problem. Keep up the good work, thanks for posting.
Out from 9-3, but fishing was a bit slow today, 4 keeper cod & only 5 mackerel, but put plenty back. Snapped my rod though, so need to go shopping for a new one, then try again.@@fishinghinny
Hi Josh, my FB page has been closed as it was keep getting spammed. I’ll have to find a way of messaging you as I can’t access messenger now for that account. I’ll be in Alnwick tonight but it’s probably too late now to sort out picking up those rigs so I’ll do it another time. We had a look down by the little bridge last weekend, never caught anything (tide was right out) but it’s a lush little beach, deffo going back at some point to have a try
