Just listening to this makes my tongue hurt.

I played this in our high school band many years ago. But we ain't never sounded like this! You have to "triple-tongue", which for obvious reasons here, is not an easy thing to do! This is the best I've ever heard it done.

I LOVE THIS. AND I AM PLAYING IT IN A TRIO. THIS WILL BE DIFFICULT TO CONQUER.

I loved hearing that! My mother bought me a trumpet when I was 8 years old when my dad was overseas in the Air Force. I played it until I was blue in the lips. I loved playing that horn. When I was 12 years old I played bugler's Holiday on a large family party. I'm sure it didn't sound much like that. :-) Thank you so much for posting. Fantastic!

I've always enjoyed hearing and watching trumpets and trumpet players. A dear good friend trumpet player died recently. We played many gigs together.

This is such a fun song to play - I did this multiple times in high school and have played all three parts. I still have my music.

Just had to play Part 1 for this at an instrumental camp this week, so much fun! But also so tiring...

Practicing this tune is how I learned the technique of double tonguing. It's been almost 50 years since I played it.

Playing this in our band, it is truly a wonderful song, and even better when you put time into playing it.

I did this last year and I played third trumpet with a trio/tuba and piano. I want to do it again so much!!!!! This song is so much fun!!!!!!!!

I love this song. My neighbor down the street, who got 1st chair in the Texas All State competition, played one part of this as a trio in HIGH SCHOOL band. It was a thrilling performance and, at the time, he was only in 10th grade. AMAZING. Love this performance.

Awesome performance. I heard this performed years ago by a high school band in Northern Indiana with Rafael Mendez as a guest performer. Went very well. Mendez billed himself as the world's greatest trumpeter - he WAS fantastic and in later years performed with his two sons.

Leroy Anderson wrote really cool songs. This is one of those.😁
