Mike Lane is a genus! This is why I prefer to modify as you build. I'm anxiously waiting for his Transfers and Tire Mods so I can start building the DeLorean. The wait may be frustrating as the issues pile up; (I have 1-6 waiting) but in the long run it's well worth it. Much easier to modify as you build. I have to say that when you started to apply the seat backs, I was concerned that with the awkward angle you'd have a difficult time to apply them perfectly...but your expertise shined through! Well done!

Just finished my Issue 18 and had your video running to double check myself as I went along. No problems, everything works!! The quality of the LED assemblies is SO much better than the ones for the DeLorean build, its hard to believe they're from the same outfit. Next Issue I get to start working on the outer frame!

I found many interesting data in my Maisto 1:18 1959 red Cadillac Eldorado convertible. By the way in my kit the air cleaner came painted in gold

Hi Wayne. Think the brake lights double as rear lights. When headlights are on they are dim red, when brake pedal is pressed they are bright red. I had to swap your C&D back to normal on my build to get the correct functions - I might have corrected with a label swap when dash wires were fitted. Great build 👍

just did this and wow it was alot easier then I thought it be. the only problem I got now is where am I going to store it till next issue. 🤣 before I just had it standing on its side but now with all the wires I don't wanna do that. need to make space. but looking forward to the next issue and to check here that I did it right. 🤣 also took me about 5 minutes to turn all the switches off to see the inner lights go off. 🤣

I was never a fan of the movie, but this is an amazing build.

What really got me was: pressing the radio button for the horn! Hello! Why couldn't the steering wheel center cap be a button for the horn? It would make more sense if the steering column was hollow allowing a wire with a button connection. The button size can't be any different from the radio? ModelModz to the rescue....??

Awesome job, not even the 1/6 Blitzway Ecto came with the siren sound.

The lights will look great once installed. The rear lights should get brighter when you press the breaks. If you check out my Facebook you'll see some photos of the lego version of this Cadillac Miller Meteor.

Hi wayne just to let you know that issue 47.48.49 of the spitfire there is nothing to do until you do issue 50 when all the parts are put in place

Hi Wayne great video on testing the lights had a thought when you put the headlights on and the brake lights came on these could have been the side lights and if you then pressed the brakes these lights could become brighter just like the old vehicles that had stop and tail lights in one bulb Mike

Another great episode, I've recently found your channel and over the past week have binge watched your entire ecto 1 build up to this episode. As someone who has never made one of these kits I'm now looking at starting this build after watching these. hmmm the button you pushed for engine sound did nothing on mine lol the left radio button was engine sound

It's a little late for this build but it may be useful in the future, for testing the interior lights, instead of trying to activate all 5 for switches at once you could've disconnected them.

This model is amazing i really want the delorean but im scared to run into those issues of missing peices and issues taking longer than expected. But your ECTO-1 is coming along nicely Keep up the work!

Think the stands supplied are meant to help put the car upside down but instructions failed to mention this?

It's a good thing I'm not color blind. Some of the under dash wires were mislabeled in my shipment

If you are struggling to hold all the switches together, you can just put one in at a time and check each switch individually.

A shame the siren doesn't have a natural cycle. The second siren doesn't finish before it repeats. I wonder if there will be a mod for that down the road.

this is interesting, I think I might have found one thing that my toy ecto-1 has done better than this model; although mine only has 4 lights - all on the roof- and one sound effect - the siren - when you put it on it plays that little "warm up" noise at the begining, but then it plays the regular siren sound uninterupted on loop for about a minute (or until you switch it off) and if you leave it until it stops it plays a sort of winding down noise at the end. This version seems to play that warm up noise every time the siren goes, you don't get that iconic repeating wah-wah-wah-wah from it? Unless I'm missing something. In every other way so far the Herocollector one wins by a country mile, maybe mine wins for practicality of storage, but I think I'm giving myself a point for the siren. Unless there turns out to be a proper looping version later on in this series, then I'll give my point back.

Hi Wayne could you not test each door switch one at a time, sort of like just put one in to it's place at a time. Then once you've checked they all work ok put them all in?

Wonder what the wires in the first stage of the next issue are for. Also we get some framework!

Too bad one of the radio switches doesn't 'tune-in' the radio to Ray Parker, Jr's Ghostbusters theme song... Despite licensing, someone should be able to do a mod for it...

Dammit, My brake lights don’t work when the pedal is depressed. And two out of the the four rear light are dimmer than the others, is that normal?

My radio and engine buttons are mixed up any advice or suggestions for where I went wrong

hi wayne just fiited the wiring to find board is dead due to bad joint underneath the glue, also the horn dont work, my worry now is get a new board and carry on the build but if the roof lights that fit on top outside dont work thats a big strip down, im guessing the blue lights that will be on the roof rack will be flashing? not heard of anything about them yet, do u know anything?
