Looks great so far. For the crankcase fs 36081 engine gray. Testers mm called it euro1 gray. Same color on the v-22 prop rotor gear box aka gearbox.

Appreciate the input! Every photo seemed to have a different color, but I'll use that on the -2. Thanks again and thanks for watching!

I also went with dark iron on the exhaust even though in the end no one will see. I painted the pushrods copper just to make them pop a bit more. It would have been nice if Magic Factory had followed Border Models example for removable engine panels. Overall, the engine assembly looks pretty nice. I'm into the final stages with the 2nd model - with wingtips down :-)

I'm almost finished using the folded wing parts for an extended wing. I still have some holes to fill. As for the engine- openable panels would have been nice but not like the Miniart P-47 panels.

Hi John that engine looks perfect, I did not know they were or had that blue shade of colour, as for the exhaust pipes, it sounds like a quick fix for not doing the whole molding process, best regards to you and your family from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

Hi Les- for the life of me I can't understand leaving off a couple mm of exhaust pipe. Oh well. Hope you're well- regards from Texas!

I'm new to Corsair building. I knew I'd blow it somewhere... Thanks for the advice!
@danwilliams1686
@danwilliams1686 3 месяца назад
@MisterGsWorkbench no, you didn't blow it. Your model looks awesome so far ! They always do. Gray or blue gray colors are subjective anyway, especially since they were usually covered in oil and gunk.
