This one is long. I show a few changes I made, get the system ready to go behind the TV, mount it to a board and finally I wall mount it behind my TV.

This is the one I have. It has the same 64bit set along with some other useful tools and a carrying case.

Awesome video series Michael I'm currently building a cheap HTPC myself. Would love to know how you got on with the 4K UHD TV and the GTX 1030

The computer is still running very well. I've actually upgraded to a 1050ti as the video card. I just happened to come across one for a very good price. I held off on the 4K TV. I'm waiting for the 2019 Vizio models to be released.

nice :) make sure to update us when u get the new T.V... if its bigger maybe you will have to move the speakers a bit.. im sure you probably know this but the farther away from the T.V you are the less you can see the detail produced by the 4K signal so you may want a bigger tv to get the full benefit of the 4k resolution from the distance of your couch...anyway great video i enjoyed it :)

Why did you not use the risers for the hard drives to keep them flat but off the board that way you could have screw down the hard drive with all 4 Screws ?

Chris Barnsey I like them being vertical, off the surface, for better cooling.

You will get exact same cooling if you use spacers just like motherboard stands. But you didn't measure any parallel/vertical lines, everything (mobo, discs, psu) might be crooked. This is bad for spinning drives and just sloppy. Still a great project!

That first one out of the box was bad but this one's still holding up months later.

@@MichaelTheComputerGuy Cheap power supplies have issues providing stated specs. I have had many issues where a system draws (on an ammeter) 400 watts, and a cheap Chinese 450 watt PSU was not enough, but moving to a quality 450 watt PSU was plenty fine. There is a reason that a crapanese unit is only $15, when a quality brand name unit is $80. If you are looking for a super quiet unit, I would highly recommend a EVGA 450 BT, They go for just under $40, and will not take out your whole system with them if you have a power surge (Like cheap units)
