You could build some lamps in your base, to make it easier to see at night. You can use some of that extruded metal from old workshop to make nice looking poles.

Get a series of craftbots with chests underneath them for storage. Pipe pieces connect the chests too so you have access to all of your stuff. I have 4 craftbots hooked up to each other with a row of chests beneath them.

Angled blades work good because when you drive you squeeze logs between ground and blades, in that way there are more pressure on connection points, and in that way it brake logs faster. Same concept when you drive fast in rocks with miners, if you have decent heavy car.

Really wish we could get some parts like the little ports on the packing station to make unloading station in our bases. So you could effectively go pump chemicals with your chemical truck and then bring it back to base and set it to unload automatically into a system with those ports.

I think the right side of the platform (looking at it from land) is one block less than the left side, when you built the frame you put two extra blocks on the left and only one extra on the right. Also I think the small ramps might look better as a lighter grey just to match the border style of the concrete

You should add more lights at different angles to the combine to make it easier to see at night. 30° angles should work well.

You could make something that traps farm boats with some farm land and crops planted in and then you could add a drill bit or use your gun to kill them (easily) so you can farm farm boats of you needed to

You should build a storage trailer for your combine to make mass harvesting quicker

Hey kAN, I've found out, as annoying and counter intuitive as it is now, that refining vehicles just cause problems. They end up weighing too much and they add a bit to the lag since they increase the physics variables for your own vehicle by a bit. I've found for me, even though it's a bit slower, that it's better to have a designated refining truck (I just park it nearby on the road or something) and a mining or logging vehicle with resource collectors on the sides. The whole bit of lag usually happens because there's too many resources rolling free, but if you get multiple resource collectors, use your refinery truck to carry them as well, and then swap out the collectors at the truck as needed, you can continuously keep frames as you're picking up the resources as you work and as you fill up, you're able to swap out for an empty collector. Just a thought to consider, try using a smaller mining vehicle that can carry 2-4 collectors on its side and then mine with them on or with them near a dip where the resources all collect into.

to get mats more quickly setup multiple craft-bots, 10 or more all connected to a single large stack of chests.

Love the channel, you’ve been beyond helpful with my own world, have you thought about doing a multi level building for your crafting and sorting?

You should make several floors for different jobs then you can make 6 lv 5 craft bots and then u get a block a second.

If your wall of storage chests connects to the input of all the crafting bots then you never need to manually give them access to the ingredients. To keep things organized though, you should keep the output chests separate from the organized chests. Just have to organize the stuff that has finished crafting into their proper storage chests. Or, you could connect the chests in a snake pattern, and use the bottom chests as the output chests... this way the ingredients that just finished crafting are immediately available to the bots without needing to organize them first. (The snake pattern is to control exactly how the chests overflow into each other.)

Maybe use the scrap metal blocks from the warehouses for the bottom of your foundations? Would save some time.

I suggest you make a plane with suspension glitches as controls. You don't need as many thrusters, the suspsension glitches give you quite good controllability, and stability in flying.

You can convert the old workshop to a crafting shed, with 2 or 3 crafting bot to half the crafting time.

You know crafting times are too long when building a small platform is a big enough achievement to deserve its own video XD

Kan, inspired by your combine i also built a similar design... it works FAR better than anything I've found on youtube including your combine. So firstly I thank you because it stems from your design. Now then here are the differences: I have 4 drills that stick straight out When a switch is activated they can rotate down 15° making soft contact with the ground. They are all on suspension just as yours was But the cremé de le cremé is my pistons. Each drill arm has a piston that can push out I think by a count of 12. (Limited by component kits) The pistons allow me to stay on flat ground and bust the rocks from a far. They usually slide down the hill but i can also "Rake" them twards me using the pivoting arms and pistons In conjunction with each other. I can fill two chests in about a half hour, maybe 45 minutes. A mid sized rock mount is obliterated almost immediately upon contact and is then ground up for the next 3-5 minutes, then on to the next one. Infact 2 refineries can't keep up at times. My vehicle also has 4 wheel steering which helps a lot with maneuvering and picking up rocks/metal. I implore you and anyone else reading this to try these ideas and improve on them if you like. I can record it in action or take screenshots if anyone wants me to.

I think having the piping exposed below the workshop would not look bad especially half-covered by the concrete as it would be with the current dimensions. I wouldn't lower that concrete personally but that's only my opinion.

Heads up: you made the right side of the base 1 block shorter than the left side. That's due to how you forgot to add a corner piece on the nearest, rightmost corner at 5:33. Just saying so you wouldn't have any issues with symmetry in the future. Love you content, can't wait for that skyscraper to happen!

The platform is 1 block short in width on the right side (if you are facing the water).

You're going to need a LOT of stone for your creation! I made a drill rig based on your design then I spent a couple weeks trying to optimize it to make it work better. Although it's incredibly ugly, I am quite happy with the drill rig I've made and I've got a lot of positive feedback from others who have copied my design. I only have two videos on my channel and they're both about my rig, I encourage you to check it out!

You should run a second ramp system down the side to reach the parking lot.

You need more than one craftbot for this type of large building!

you should make 1 or 2 floors of the sky scraper and make the garage using pistons to push the vehicles up

It might not be a good idea because wheels made of blocks usually suck but when you modify the combine to have tank steering you could maybe test out making some wheels out of a high friction material like diamond plate

Instead of getting another one, you should consult the devs about possibly adding more upgrades to the craft bot. Then, even people who are low on material to build another bot, but high on component kits to upgrade can also be satisfied by the quick crafting times!

I have a similar workshop area and sometimes it is hard to see underneath vehicles on the lift. So I put lights along the floor.

if you look at the ramps and look at the right side of the floor you made you need to extend it out by 1 cuz otherwise it won't be for full extensions

Maybe you could make a lorry trailer that instead of refining it all at once, you could make a crane that loads the rocks into a trailer to refine back at your base (or instantly you if it's too laggy) thats what I'm planning (which isn't the same as getting round to doing it without being sidetracked by kerbal space program )

Hey kan you should make a train that can be used on rails for transportation from one point to another with out problems. The train should be wide enough to move and get out of drivers seat while moving, be able to have cars that can attacked and detachedable or just have it on forever. Also the train cars should be accessible while inside. The tracs should be able to be off the ground to prevent bots destroying it and also the train should have a climbing system when going up.

I think it might look good if you had a row of upside-down ramp blocks at the top of your ramp, rather than having directly transition into the diamond flooring. They have a neat texture and it could let you paint the entire thing a different color, so the difference in the two grays would be less of an issue. Also, would it be possible to run tubes to your parking area? I noticed you had the chest ports sticking out the back of your combine, so it looks like it's designed to hook up to something. That makes me think it would be more efficient to directly hook your vehicles into the craft system, after farming, rather than transfer an inventory load at a time into the crafting chests.

hey kan try to put a cactus or some kind of thing that has a lot friction at the back of your combine so that when you try dig up rocks uphill it would be easier just lower grip mine them all and get them up and continue mining

since this game works with powers of 2, I'd really recomend multiplying the resources by something like 4 or 8, I think 8 would be nice. then vehicles would cost more a function of what functionalities it has than it's size/foundation, and base building it's viable. currently it seems the game is balanced for you to grind so you can build vehicles only.

The ramp looks so much better now, but I’m just scared to see the amount of blocks for this base.
