Ran into the visor sideplate issue with my girlfriend's Icon as well. It's because the mirror visor you bought is the track version. The street version has the holes for the sideplates.

The adapter allows you to use a power pack and record for hours at the same time as the mic is hooked up too. I mount the 10,000 Mah power pack on the back of the helmet. Works great.

Perhaps you could set a price just for a "Kit & Install" plus Helmet or send in your own helmet. HECK...I live near you, and you could teach me to do the installs! Set up a P O Box address for them to send their helmet to [like a Mailbox R Us or UPS Store] I could bring the finished Helmet to you for approval to be sure it is perfectly up to standards, and we send it out!

You can use a SENA backpack with GoPro gives you a wireless mic using the SENA not sure if they make one for all GoPro’s but hey worth a check

Hey Chase, quick question. How often do your quick release buckles break? I've broken two so far in about a year and a half. I no longer remove my camera from there just in case I snap it again. I'm also quite careful with my things, so no idea why they keep breaking.

4:30 I didn't get one thing. Did you actually just use the GoPro AGBAG kit to mount it like that or you needed extra stuff from the drawer and in case which? I have a HJC RPHA-10 and a RPHA-11 both of which have the air thingie in the front which makes it impossible to attach the action cam directly in front, so I think I have to settle for the side mount like yours. One thing I'd love tho is to have it mounted as clean as possible with less stuff I can as yours, still I don't exactly understand if you only used the linked kit(plus the shorter screws) or something else. Need this for both GoPro and Xiaomi Yi 4K+ but it seems I need tons of connectors.

So i got the pieces and the mic but it only seems to record out of the left speaker on my computer and everything else i play the video off of, ive tried all the settings being changed and stuf, is it the mic then? Im just wondering if you ran into that problem Chase and what you did to fix it

I just bought a GoPro Hero 6 and have an existing lavalier mic (Power DeWise). Once I get over 40mph, I get popping and cracking sounds in my audio. Do you still recommend the mic in this video? Do I also need a deadcat? Thank you!

I'm looking into getting my motorcycle license and maybe get into motovlogging but if not definitely wanna get go pro. do you think the Sedici Strada Parlare Sena Bluetooth Helmet with all its angles on the side would work with a chin mount? I really like the look of it over the Bilt Techno 2.0 Sena Bluetooth Helmet. your option would be great!

Turn on protune,WB to native choose flat if you are going to colour grade or choose GoPro colours. Set sharpness to low.

Hey Chase you should look into AGHB's GoPro mount, it's actually quite slick for mounting off to the side like that!

SCRUBZ GAMES too much wind noise, i think you could get around it with one of those foam ball things around the mic but i dont know how well they work If you get some wind noise when chase rides with the visor up an open face helmet would be far worse

Hey guys, we have a GoPro 5 black and bought the external mic and the purple panda to go with it but we still have no audio, we have turned off the quick capture and audio is set to off, the audio input is standard but still no sound it’s sooo frustrating. Any help will be appreciated

Where did you put the camera mic? Did you just put it behind the cheekpads? Doesn't that muffle your voice too much? What other places do you find a good place for a mic? I find that exactly infront of your mouth or nose picks up too much of the breathing and panting.

Thanks chase for the vid i couldnt for the life of me figure out to do a chin mount on my hjc dragon helm cuz i tried to put the sticky mount for the gp directly on the front of the chin but it was to rounded for even the curved sticky mount to work so had to mount it on top of the helm now i know i can put the sticky mount off center and use more brackets to get the cam centered. Ps sry for the long comment

So, when you installed the microphone and speakers, did you do it just behind the pads of the helmet? Wondering how you would take the helmet apart to wash it with all this stuff installed.

+tia ria speakers are behind the ear holes of the padding so the pads can be pulled out no issue. Mic is tucked between the cheek pad and helmet so it would just need to be repositioned if all the pads needed to be removed.

tia ria >> Yes, the mic, or mics, are attached to the solid interior of the helmet, under/behind the foam-padding liner. [just avoid getting behind the solid-material parts so it doesn't 'muffle' your voice.] The mic will still pick up very well, and it helps reduce picking up wind noise. Some people even mount the mic in the forehead area -- especially on 'half-shells' and 3/4 helmets to avoid using a 'boom' -- and that works pretty well. [again, under the liner] I don't have a GoPro hooked up, but I do have the SENA set-up. And it works very well! BTW -- the speakers also mount behind the foam liner...

Brilliant idea with the screws Chase! I think I'll be ordering from link as the supplied GoPro ones seem to always catch on my jacket when I turn my head. As for the microphone connected to GoPro where did you mount it? Having trouble getting decent sound quality at higher speeds with my setup

I do it at the opening of the cheek pads and you gotta make sure to have that wind cover that I put on it to help with the wind noise.
