Great job. Still light, up higher for convenience and less drag. Only suggestion I could give you it to find some aluminum angle (1x1 or 1.5 x 1.5) and bolt it to the front of the skis, on top, as a stiffening device. It could replace the larger boards you had to add to the front of the skis. You have the best setup I have seen so far!
Hey thats a great idea! Ill have to try this. My dad sent me the video! It said you were from the UP, but I didnt think youd be this close to where I live. That boat ramp looks very fermilliar. I dont fish out there much unless im going for walleye. But this year i might have to fish there because KBay isnt freezing. Hey do you think Downhill Skis would work better? Maybe ill see you out there someday.
Good job. I built one recently-a little different but much the same and it works great. One thing that may help with the ski cracking issue is to try downhill skis. They are wider and may be a little sturdier. I like idea of a table.
Nice job! It’s the best homemade design I’ve seen thus far. I’ll certainly give it a try. I also REALLY like the idea of the usable table on the ice. Question: I couldn’t quite figure out how you reattach the cut off legs to the table?
Thank you! The legs for this model come extendable from the factory. Simply remove the bottom section of leg and then cut the section still attached to the table. The lower section of leg will slip back on to the shortened piece.
