Materials used:
This is new version of the mobile base in the video: amzn.to/44vnVNb

My Vix bits have been around forever, but this is the closest version that I’ve seen lately (although there are lots of great alternatives): amzn.to/3VBMNyK
My drill press is a Reliant 13” 5 speed drill press. Sadly, these are no longer available
The knobs and hinges came from my local Lowe’s store

It’s a big improvement! I hear you on the Baltic Birch right now, I have a couple projects I’m putting off but may have to consider switching materials. Maybe on that chip out prone plywood dadoing with a router and your strait edge would yield better results? I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next!

All the stand designs never seem to make use of the rotate the head and the slots in the foot plate functions. If you create a hollow in the back of the stand with various stock holding devices allowing thread to swing around to end drill long stock. The slots can allow the whole press to move and place the chuck quite far over large ended stock.

Good idea,although I have only needed to swing the head around once or twice in the 30 years that I've had this press.

@@TheTrullGallery As said, "all the stand designs...". not just yours. The hollow is also useful to store long fences, table extensions and such.
