Thank you for sharing this insight into your work 🙂 Right on! I admire the organization and effort that you talk about, keeping yourself organized, and recovering from setbacks. Being sick is a real setback, and like you say you had what you called a dismal failure, that feeling it can turn into negative thoughts, however you are recovered! And you are continuing to work and I assume play with this project! So, right on. Sounds like a fun and enjoyable product, building something which potentially has the benefit of making people happy and bringing them together. So it has an intrinsic motivation. Do you ever use cable holders/traps? I have a number of cables plugging into my computer also and on my desk haven't found a perfect solution, other than using some kind of a weight to keep the cables from sliding backwards every time I unplug and replug my computer in. It is a minor frustration for me. But when I am focusing on work I become highly sensitive and, unless I regularly reorganize my mind I become distracted by small things such as my retreating cables. Lol. What else have you done in your environment to keep it arranged and comfortable, To keep the frustration down, to keep it "proper" really, and to help you focus? Best luck with the work.
