Can we all just to think about what a great addition Quinn has been to the team! I remember the content before he came, and while it was still great it went up a crazy level since he joined
Quinn always knowledgeable on the engine builds. But gotta give credit to the 3 editing boys, the cinematography has been crazy the past few weeks of content.
Another masterpiece by Quinn is on it's way. Is there any engine this guy can't work with? I guess this one first needs to be developed. Incredible. Quinn for me is a exeptional talent of his profession. Always a blast watching him at these builds.
Dude watching the teams videos got me out my depression, you guys are truly amazing at what you do and hope what you guys do continue on generation after generation 💯🤝🏽💪🏽🖤 much love from Philly 💯
To all of us normals, Quinn is like an engine Einstein. Never seems worried that he'll miss anything and always knows what to do next. Always love to see him work.
Bruh, Honda should be paying y’all. That this engine was in such good condition is a testament to Honda’s build quality. Can’t wait to see how this turns out. One of the best parts about this channel is that Throtl doesn’t just throw on some bolt ons in a build like this. They actually seem to take care of the mechanical bits in addition to the other stuff before giving this away to a lucky viewer. Quinn should definitely be making 2x more than whatever Throtl is paying him.
I love learning, so that you for taking the time to point out all the small details……no detail is too small not to get mentioned so that we can become better
kinda reminded me of a youtuber "I Do Cars", he takes apart all sorts of engnes but he includes all the sounds no music which is so satisfying. I enjoy yalls vids. much luv
Throtl VIP squad good morning Quinn, Mickey Rickie , Evan, Rick , Victor will TimShawn Nate, big Jeff and the rest of the team awesome building a bad ass S 2000👍🏼😊🤙🏽❤️
Replace that slave cylinder that broke with aslave cylinder from an ap1, the one you have has a delay valve! Ap1 slave cylinder doesn’t and it allows for quicker shifts
Always love these videos doing tear downs and builds with Quinn and the crew! really excited to see this engine come together. so satisfying to watch, cleaning everything up is going to be sooo good.
Great video! Excited to watch another engine build from Quinn he is so thorough on everything about the motor can’t wait to see next video on building the motor and finishing the masterpiece! Keep up the good work guys ! Hope to see you guys on June 3rd in Irwindale!!
Great tear down video. Quinn as always 👌 Have you thought about making a throtl academy on a separate channel or on patreon? Where you could share tear downs, how to, personal knowledge etc for people who wants to learn more and in depth?
Schmuck Built makes a replacement cross bar that is removable and gets rid of that ugly cross bar in the engine bay. They also make a neat AC line relocation kit that will clean up the engine bay and move the lines away from the hot turbo kit.
Lace the rings 180 degrees out from each other in line with the rod pins for maximum cylinder pressure, and seal everything from the intake to the exhaust with silicone and build it to last, and make up a 50/50 solution of motor oil and prolong oil treatment right from the start and you won't believe the results especially considering what you are planning on adding to it
Just a reminder if you are putting a heavier clutch in to disable the clutch switch so you don't have to depress it to start the car. Heavier clutches eat thrust bearings
Been following you guys for a while, am actually trying to see if I can buy a 2015 VW gti 2.0t and would love to see you guys build one and give me some ideas. Me only being 19 you guys are such a inspiration to me.
I just got to Will jumping out of the S2000, while it's on the lift, like he's Spiderman. Just about spit my food that I'm eating all over my monitor, laughing. Lmao.
Hi team Throtl. I'm a biggg fan i watch all your builds i love them cars. Im from Africa (kenya, Nairobi.) i have a Sg5 Forester which was Automatic transmission but i converted it to manual transmission. I wish one day you guys travel to kenya and build this one for me. My dream car. I love you guys❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
As a s2000 owner and pulling the motor couple times already, I was waiting for Quinn to realize he needs to drop the trans first then pull the engine from up top. Happens to all of us.
My opinion Best Eps Are When Quinn is tearing Down a Engine& my engine might have oil build up it sits for 4 months minimum then gets driven twice a month 🤷🏾
Quick question did you guys test the refrigerant before evacuating it? And if so why not show it I’m sure plenty of people don’t know how or necessarily why you check the refrigerant just wondering because I thought it’d be a cool thing to teach the people who may not know about the hvac system but great video as always
I've never seen cleaner guys working on cars, tearing down engines and everything else. I get filthy just doing routine maintenance on my vehicles. Ya'll come out much cleaner LOL
long as oring is well, that slave can very easily be, cleaned then re-assembled and work no issues what so ever. not end of the world as being made out to be.
Please don’t put low compression pistons in this engine, keep the stock compression ration, with modern fuels and engine management the stock high ratio is totally fine
