Very cool. Thanks! Quite a bit of work. I had trouble placing the OSC in the middle of the stem for some reason the anchor was off and it didn't rotate the middle but off center. Still a cool "title"!
By default, with the Title Background layer enabled in Motion, ALL controls in the Video Inspector, including position, rotation, and scale, will affect BOTH the title AND the underlying video. Also, you can't rig those parameters up to an on-screen control, which is such a better user experience.
@@markspencer4557Interesting... I didn't know that. Weirdly I can drop a basic title and the FCP transform tools work independently of the video below. I can also select the Transform icon in the lower left of the view and get onscreen controls, though I only use those for dragging into place, never for scale and rotation. Do the basic FCP titles do something different to enable this vs a made-in-Motion-by-user title?
@@GameSack that means the title placeholder layer for those titles has been disabled in Motion. You can open them in Motion and see your yourself. The reason for NOT disabling it is so your title CAN affect the underlying video - for example if you wanted to blur it.
QUESTION? I started your video training and found that when I add write on, I do not see my key frames except at the very bottom of the timeline. I don't get the purple line under each of the write on behaviors. So when I need to grab a key frame node, there is none to grab. I can see the graph for the keyframes but no way to change them. This has been like this for awhile. Even turning on or off the key frame icon, still don't get them.
Mark Great video. A little off topic, but the NCAA tournament is almost upon us. I’ve been looking all over the Web to find a program to generate brackets for the tournament. Can you help with that??

@@rippleguys Im creating a USDZ file in Fusion 360 to bring into motion. If it's just a line of text and sometimes other shapes, the ends disappear in the Y sometimes X rotation. If I add a donut shape around this same shape (same file nothing changing but adding the donut and re export the file) and bring that file into motion, nothing cuts off. I can't figure out why Im getting the different results per shapes. Thanks for your videos Mr. Ripple and response.
