I tested the chainmail! Check it out!
ARROW VS CHAINMAIL - • Shooting big arrows wi...
BOWLING BALL VS CHAINMAIL - • I made a BIG Air Canon
CAR VS CHAINMAIL - • I ran a car into this.
Taking on making the worlds largest chainmail in the blacksmith shop. Starting with 600 ft of 1" round bar and forging them into 250 circles. Every one is hot riveted together either under the pneumatic upsetter or with a sledge hammer. The finished piece weighs 1600 lbs and stretches out to over 11 feet tall! This has been an awesome project to be apart of and look forward to hearing what you think about this project! Thank you for watching.

My name is Timothy Dyck. I got hooked on blacksmithing when I was 13 years old. I quickly realized that in order to keep blacksmithing I needed money to buy costly supplies, so I started making small items and selling them at the local farmer markets. The farmer markets turned into craft shows and craft shows turned into custom projects. Right out of high school I had the opportunity to apprentice under a blacksmith, where I worked with him for four years. We did projects for some of the most prestigious houses around the rocky mountains and were apart of many large public sculptures. I learned many valuable lessons while working under his training, but the desire to set up my own shop and go out on my own was always something I dreamed about.
So in 2013 I started setting up my full time blacksmith shop out of BC, Canada making custom projects and products like railings, gates, lights, stairs, fences and all the many blacksmithing tools required to keep the blacksmithing shop running. I love what I do and this is my dream job. I enjoy showing you what's going on in the blacksmith shop through the lens of a camera and would love to have you along for the ride as I live out my dream of being a blacksmith in the 21st century.

This should be #1 on trending, Game of thrones should have hired you to make this for a prop, Hollywood needs to buy it for some epic movie or something. This is the greatest build I’ve ever seen on RU-vid by far. Maybe make it as a doorway or sign by the road for your blacksmith business? So many cool things you could do but this build needs to get out there to everyone, so cool!

Practice use ideas: 1. It could be used as a pathway for getting big machinery unstuck from mud. 2. It could be used for a big crane to prevent sink age on a foot. 3. It could be used as a drop gate for a castle murder hole. 4. Permanent wall to create a breezeway, but also create security this spawned another idea, do the same size rings but smaller bar to make it much lighter and then weld some garage door wheels and use it as a way to secure the building but keep it "open"
