I'm unsubbing RJ, Mason took a $149 BBE Wah, put goop on it, told all has customers a bunch of lies about it, changed ZERO about it except the name and badge and charged them $349 for it. But looking at the other comments, it looks like you already know this. That's really disappointing.

@@cpk313 didn't he also refund the money ( see below) ? What he did was wrong , there's no question about that ... but, can we never redeem ourselves after a mistake ? As long as he learned from the mistake and uses that knowledge to guide his conduct /behavior from now on, I think we should forgive , but not forget. just my opinion of course.

Sounds like a rough cold for the Rig Doc. I'm really interested in that diverter for different setups. Is there any switching involved when you go from the effects loop to direct in front? Is something like that commercially available?

Lost my voice from too many podcasts the day before at NAMM where you're yelling for several hours straight because you can't hear yourself even with headphones on. I'm doing the routing with the TRS jacks internally, totally passive. When I post my video I'll post a wiring diagram and a drill template so you can replicate yourself.

Mason got a question. That Octaland pedal. It doesn’t have to come first before a buffer? It seems he has his Octaland after compression and before the fuzz pedals. Can you clear up the order they should be in or is the order he has of course works for him but not sure if it’s tone driven preference or by design of that Octaland that it’s order on the board is fine? I kinda have the same issue. Polytune3/comp/fuzz/od/ booster/ distortion/ delay/reverb. Soon to add a Octaland. Thanks big time if you see this comment and can lend some of your wisdom bro.

Yannick Calleiro SP500 and Mogami 2319 doesn’t need it but you can add it if you want - but it won’t eliminate any more of the lateral movement.

i tried solderless cables...that lasted about 30 min then ripped them all out and used real cables..also i would never remember to flip off the battery switch on that fuzzz...but damn what a great idea

Charles T. The input buffer is built into the tuner, Petersen did a pretty good job with this one, it’s a little bit higher impedance than I would normally go for, but the sound is good. The reverb from the Ventris is always on and it actually is a pretty low output impedance come around 100 ohms and it’s pretty good sounding. There are better buffers out there, but I would say in terms of how this sounded with the fx loop and in front of the amp is pretty consistent across the board.

I'm slowly becoming a fan of only using one modulation pedal. If you force yourself to do this, your board size becomes controllable. It forces you to be a creator of your music, and not a copier of others' music.

How does having fewer modulation pedals force you to create music? I only have a Phase 90 and a homebrew tremolo pedal on my main pedal board, yet do not feel forced to do anything.

If the Brazilian doesn't work, UNI-SOLVE adhesive remover wipes. Take it from someone who lives with Juvenile Diabetes it's gentle enough for your skin, and better then goo gone on other surfaces. Hey that's my cheap volume pedal! 😄

Say No To Solderless Cable. I was always curious about them solderless cables but they were to expensive for my taste. Eventually cheaper options came along, but since Tito RJ, Tito Mason and Rhett Shull have advised against it...I have proudly stayed away.

dax balmeo There are people they can get them to work, but if your goal is to have a professional rig that will last for a decade, it’s not a recipe for success even with the very best of them. You need to have a gas tight connection and it’s impossible to maintain this in a solderless cable at this point in time for coaxial guitar cables.

Scott Moreau I think if you need to go solderless because you legitimately don’t know how to solder nor know anybody else that can, then the Evidence is the best way to go, however it is not superior to a quality soldered cable and plug, and it’s also not a gas tight connection. You are also required to use their cable with the SIS plug. Their cable is well-made, but has a very specific sound that I find to be much brighter than neutral, and sometimes spiky with a gain.

@@RJRonquillo then why promote him? people rarely change. mostly they don't. did you hear from the people he ripped off? from the people who had to put out press releases because they were listed on the Vertex site as endorsers when they didnt even have deals? I like your channel a lot man and you seem like a cool dude so understand this comes from a place of wanting to see you succeed and do well that it's NEVER worth it to deal with people like this. in the long run it's better to stick with people who are above board and dont have MULTIPLE, disparate instances of being shady as all get out. Im sure he offered you a build either for free or for a significantly reduced cost or whatever that you might not have been able to get from LA Sound Design or Friedman but if you had started a gofundme or whatever specifically for that I'd have seriously considered contributing because I like your channel. Subsequently, I will probably still watch your videos, but not the ones with Vertex. And I would never buy a product from Vertex; not if I was poisoned and the antidote was inside.

tomcoryell Could not agree more. 13 pedals on the board 3 that hook up on sides and a tap tempo. Everything powered off 1 outlet Caline P-1 pwr unit. Have a couple 3 out daisy chains and 1 Y cable powering 2 18v pedals. All the daisys are on lower mV analog pedals so to keep noise down. 8 modded pedals on board also. Now if I could just play like I know what I'm doing. Great guitars, cool amps, nice pedalboard and then there's my the weak link. L O L
