What's going on everybody?! SeanPierceJohnson here and today we'll be checking out the build process of the pedalboard I will be using when my band plays on the 2018 Vans Warped Tour. This summer, we'll be playing on the Full Sail University stage and I won't be able to use my beloved Orange Rockerverb 100 and will have to use a backline amp.
So I need to set up a pedalboard that will get me tones that I love without my favorite amp...
We'll be using the GigRig G2, my Line 6 Relay G70 wireless, and a plethora of pedals from Orange Amps, Amp-fx, TC Electronic, MXR, Old Blood Noise, Walrus Audio, and more!
It will be interesting to see the results of running all my guitar effects in the front end of the amplifier. This will be more of a build video and less of a pedalboard demo.

Good luck with the tour. It’s a pain using amps you don’t know. I’ve found a decent graphic or parametric eq works wonders though

Pedaltrain Killer. Waggi thought of Everything. I am getting one A.S.A.P. Try a Strymon Zuma - it is Super Quiet or anything by Daniel from The Gig-Rig.

Oh Yeah. Daniel Really knows his stuff. That guy does Phenomenal work. " Pedalboard Guru " - I learn so much from him ( and Mick ) - in every T.P.S. Episode . . . which I watch Religiously.

Update: Purchased the Waggi 28" (Thanks to Sean's video) and it's Phenomenal. I use 10 pedals, and have a Strymon Zuma under-the-hood. Perfect design, great quality - looks great-too.

SeanPierceJohnson what really threw me off was the height on the back side, but considering the riser on the pedal board is somewhat high the finished product looks balanced.

Hey there! This video is a board I built with a wah mounted on the pedalboard: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hj9XabLsnRQ.html I think it worked out just fine. Though, these days I’m not mounting volume and wah ON the board. I have Flat Feet so me feet natural point outwards. It’s easier for me to have those kind of pedals off the board. More comfortable and I can put more pedals on the board 😁

I Notice you are not powering the G2 with the Gigrig generator . On the Gigrig Website it says that it is 9V and draws 1000Ma . What other power supplies do you use power your G2 ?

Really? Hmm, that's the opposite of everything I hear. I used a couple of power supplies by Accel Audio. They're not bad but very bulky (basically like the Pedal Power 2 and 1 Spot Pros). They take up quite a bit of space I was hoping to save for pedals.

Cool man. Good watch, backline is a headache so I get it. No offense to all the Hot Rod Deluxe people, but when I see one I close my eyes and sigh, so hope you don't get those. Was shocked on the tone you got out of the Getaway Driver, sounds great. Is there any reason you're not using the generator for your full power? I'm just curious. Hyped for the final board

Yeah, I’m not excited but it’s a great opportunity I’m not going to squander. The reason I’m not using the Generator to power everything is because that is only one part of the GigRig Power system. You need the Distributors, Isolators and other pieces to get power to multiple pedals. And that costs some decent dough...which I don’t have. So I use what I have

Out of curiosity, what did you use to transport/carry this board? I know it comes with a bag, but it's not exactly suitable for going on the road.

i kept the board with me all the time so it was fine.

Justin Karbel we weren’t on the whole tour and we just drove ourselves. So we packed the van. And the amps were all back like as well

I just heard from the owner of the company. They signed on with a new distributor after Summer NAMM. They will be showing at Winter NAMM 2019 and will be trying to expand a dealer network with the distributor.

@BagusWibisono sorta. It has the “cable length” simulation which is nice as a sweetener. But the audio is clear and sounds as a guitar should

They're re-working things ahead of the NAMM show. They just signed a deal with a US distributor so it should be easier to acquire the boards afterward.

the power issue is likely to be the fact that the 500ma is not an isolated supply....

Just ran into this issue with my power supply too, but I got one that is isolated to replace it. I definitely want to upgrade to the Gigrig power supply soon! I have the G3 on the way so I can’t wait to set it up!

As much as i love That Pedal Show..( and my D&M Drive)... why use the G2?... why not just hit the pedals....?

sean hershey the g2 and other looper systems effectively remove any pedal in the signal path that isn’t activated through the looper. In other words, your signal is as clean as possible, no load down from multiple pedals running in line, no additional noise etc...if you are running many pedals and play professional a looper can help a lot, furthermore, with the gigrig you can design presets so hit one switch and activate multiple pedals, you can also switch the order of the pedals...it’s a professional solution for situations you run into live

It's too bad you don't have a Line 6 Helix or the HX FX. Those could've really minimized your luggage and maximized your tonal flexibility for touring
