Kudos to you for persevering with the vinyl. I can relate as I used vinyl tape to make ridge guttering and had the same difficulty. I ended up using glue on the vinyl but know that over time it will let go and shrink. A lesson learnt😩. Your finished stove looks great Penny and worthy of a dream house👏

I'm glad that you were not only able to conquer the challenges of the vynal, but that you're fully committed to using it on your other major appliances, and for good reason because your High End stove looks GREAT!

Another option to create the silver look would be leaf. There is is silver and perhaps chrome. It's a bit of a nuisance, but perhaps not nearly so much as the vinyl. You were brave to stick with that.

I have some gold leaf that someone gave me but I have never tried to use it. I might have to give it a try on something to see how it goes. For now, I am committed to the vinyl, like it or not! 😂

My favorite part of this build is the grid/oven rack. Great detail and tricky to do. The way you did the knobs I assume they could technically spin…was that intentional?
@littlebylittledollhouseminis
@littlebylittledollhouseminis 10 месяцев назад
Hi Lori, its so nice to hear from you! Yes the knobs spin and yes, that was intentional!

I think you mean the Set up Blocks, or what is also called 1-2-3 Blocks. They are available from Amazon and is some hardware stores. I hope that helps!

On an unrelated topic, I think you have done business with AliExpress. I am trying to buy some battery powered lights from them, but the listed price and check out price don't match. The descriptions don't always look to be accurate (is it really battery powered). Etc. One order of mine came relatively quickly with only one thing broken (which I was able to fix). There doesn't seem to be any recourse or ability to communicate well with them either. I was wondering what your experience with them has been. Thanks for any insights you have.

Hello there! I used to order a lot from AliExpress but it’s been months since I got anything from there. Earlier this year, Temu became available here and I have ordered from them almost exclusively. I am happy to share my experience, pros/cons, and reasons why I switched with you! From a cost perspective, the two companies are pretty comparable, and they both carry the same sort of items. The quality is hit and miss with both. Sometimes they exceed my expectations and sometimes not but for the price I don’t have super high expectation, lol. I found that with AliExpress, that the sizing was very often off. They advertise items at 1:12 but are sometimes way out of scale. I tried to return something once apron a time but there were too many hoops and for the $1.00 is cost me, it wasn’t worth the hassle. I find Temu a much better option. No matter how they advertise the size, on the pictures of the product there is always one with the actual measurement, so I can confirm for myself if it is actually the right scale. With Temu, I had an order to missing in the mail and they automatically refunded me the entire amount without me having to chase them. I also like Temu for the delivery time. I used to wait 4-6 weeks sometimes for AliExpress but Temu delivers in about 7-10 business days. I hope that helps!!

@@littlebylittledollhouseminis Thanks! Just ordered from Temy. Unfortunately, they have a much curtailed inventory on lights, but we do our best.
@marykayryan7891
@marykayryan7891 9 месяцев назад
I did follow up on this and did two orders from TEMU. On the first one, things came broken and were so poorly made as to be almost unusable. On the second order (give someone a second chance I always say) they waited until after the order was delivered to tell me an item was "out of stock" but they had charged me anyway. I was able to get a refund, but I would say TEMU is no better than Ali Express. I guess you get what you pay for.
