How can people live with a starter like that? my g37 would start up like that since the starter was going to shit and I was always paranoid whether it would start up lmao
@siyabongadlamini5240 mines boosted as well and all the heat cooked the starter.. would crank exactly like this after getting gas an sometimes not at all after immediately trying to start after shutting off.. got worse and worse til it would just click.. changed the starter and added an extra grounding cable.. never happened again
All these years and most mustang guys still haven’t learned. I remember back in the early 2000s other Terminator guys with way more horsepower than I ran way slower times! They would slap a KB 2.2 or Whipple 2.3 and run on 18 or 19 inch street tires lol

Centri coyotes don't have gobs of torque and can plant the power alot better than a tvs. I'm a tvs guy but I'm just saying. The stang could have a drag radial on the larger wheel not sure if it does or not you don't necessarily have to have drag wheels but you need drag radials for sure if you wanna hook.
He has drag radials nowhere near as good obviously but a centri 5.0 doesn't need anything crazy to plant decent especially with an auto. He probably just got beat it happens. It's a built motor car vs stock motor car.

Let the 6th gen owner know he needs a nice thick ground wire from the engine or trans to the frame. The starters heat soak in 5th and 6th gens and make it sound like your starter or battery are dying. Gen5diy makes one. In the summer and once I went long tubes it gets bad lol but that fixed it completely.
Same here. My 6th gen boosted, would do that shit bad.. especially after getting gas.. eventually got worse and worse and sometimes wouldnt start if i tried turmimg it back on right after turning it off and would have to wait a few mins to cool down.. eventually went out completely.. changed the starter and added that ground. Been running solid with no issues since.
@@The_Garnetts yeah I still want to change my starter because I'm sure 90,000 miles of heat Cycles on what looks like the OEM starter probably beat it down a bit. But I was relieved once I found out about this fix. For some weird reason it does seem like getting gas with worse but probably because that was after driving a quick stop then jumping back in.
That last run you can hear the Mustang just change gear at 70 mph and then they hit it but the Mustang wasn't in the power band but, he shouldn't run without good tires.
I feel it's extremely disappointing that the 5.0 guy is stupid enough to try and run a 850whp car (so he claims) on anything other than a 17" drag radial and almost take that Camaro out 🤦 Great run for the Camaro, even better that he didn't get hit 🙏

@@Darth_5.0 I saw where the back seat was removed. My guess is he is about 150-200lb lighter. But regardless he will need a built motor to run the amount of boost and fuel to easily beat the Camaro. It’s not an apples to apples race. Take those two to the track as they are set up now and the Camaro is a full second quicker

Camaro is just faster in this case, lighter makes morw power. I have a 10 speed and a 70 roll you arw at the bottom of 4th.... we make no torque, our 40/60 roll 2nd and 3rd gear we are at 6k rpm. That 10 speed needs suspension, hit up kelly aken at kelltrac performance and get some viking kelltrac spec shoks and a proper drag pack

If so then is more expensive than a zl1 to build
Yea about 20k-30k for this but still cheaper than a new built gen 6 ZL1. A new ZL1 is like 70k (if you're lucky) and push 500+ whp so you'll have to spend almost 90k to get 900whp
