BULBASAUR IS ACTUALLY THE BEST POKEMON IN POKEMON QUEST!? 

Hi Verlisify, i've been using my vinewhip venasaur since forever and i've tried all the combinations of charm stones. In my experience the scattershot stone really hurts the hitbox and damage output. In this video you primarily fought against bosses that don't get knocked back. However most pokemon will be knocked back and that's why the scattershot stone is not optimal. As the pokemon get knocked back, the 2 vines that come out spread too far apart and actually miss. Not to mention, the relatively short range on the vines means that the whack whack stone hitting twice will cause the second hit to miss. Here's what i think is the most optimal build for vine whip. 2 broadburst stone and 1 whack whack. The thing to note here is that the 2 broadburst stones not only makes the vine thicker but also a lot longer. Like three times longer. This means that instead of hitting a single vine can land on multiple pokemon in a straight line and hit each multiple times. It's hard to count but on a single target, the vine with this build hits 5-6 times with diminshing damage. But with my 4k atk venasaur and 50% attack from belly drum, this means 12k, 6k, 4k, 3.5k, 3..2k, 3k, 2.8k. Well the numbers are hard to see but it's something like that. So the damage is nothing to scoff at. And this time, the knockback doesn't cause you to miss or switch targets, the braodburst stones allow your whip to hit them from half the screen away. tl;dr scattershot and whack whack knock back and miss, Instead use 2 broadburst and 1 whack whack. Long and thick vine allows both hits to land optimally Try it out V

Great video verlisify. I really like how you focus on multiple strategy guides for Pokemon quest. I also have found that vine whip is a great move not only offensively but defensively as well. If you see an opponent (like vileplume) about to do a one hit ko, vine whip can deflect the attack if timed right. it also allows very fast hit healing opportunities and i have been using bulk up mewtwo, venusaur with vine whip, and hydro pump starmie. It works every time in the last level. I might also try bulbasaur too.

I've been using a vine whip Venusaur with max Hp ivs and a TON of hit healing. He doesn't die. Interesting to see the damage breakdown between Bulbasaur an Venusaur though. May need to try a Victreebel.

Close Combat might be on par with vine whip and hydro pump. Give it a Try.

So I did some math for this..... As a disclaimer, I could night fight any actual info on damage calculation so I added the Attack of the movie with the attack of the pokemon, and multiplied it by the boosted bingo amount to get the results. If anyone knows the real formula I'll redo them with those calculations instead. Also these calculations were run using the Gold Pot versions of both pokemon. Anyway here's the numbers I came up with: Bulbasaur - 475 to 575 = 712 to 812 == 854.4 to 974.4 Ivysaur - 500 to 600 = 737 to 837 == 847.55 to 962.55 Venusaur - 550 to 650 = 787 to 887 == 865.7 to 975.7 Weepinbell - 750 to 850 = 987 to 1087 == 1332.45 to 1476.45 Victreebel - 900 to 1000 = 1137 to 1237 == 1421.25 to 1546.25 So Venusaur has only 1.3 damage over Bulbasaur, but does also have that extra HP. While Weepinbell and Victreebel have those much higher attack numbers, though it should be noted that Venusaur has a good 250 HP over Victreebel.

Took me a while to get used to where everything was. I kinda beat the first boss abra without fainting. i also got a rainbow matter too. So ill keep the yellow stew in mind, might end up with a staryu or bellsprout with vinewhip, or a bulbasaur if im lucky. Can you try testing out how good porygon is with shadow ball? I am in the midgame of pokemon quest, and I don't have enough access to stones to test stuff out, I don't even have ANY wack-wack stones, but with just 1 broadburst stone and 2 scattershot stones shadow ball was quite good on porygon, I don't know if the move is better on a different pokemon, or if the move is actually very good at all, but it would be cool if that got investigated more.

I actually got Weepinbell on my first Yellow Curry cook. I used it on my party eversince, except it has two moves and I didn't reroll for Vine Whip. Bullet Seed is still pretty cool though, with 2 slots for the stones.

I have a bulk up machamp on my team and more often than not it uses bulk up once then it never moves again and the cooldown for bulk up doesn't start. It's just stuck there doing nothing. Anyone know a fix to this?

Onix's Harden is literally one of the most broken move in Quest. You'll barely even got damaged by bosses who has like 1000 more power points than your team.
