Love this!! I have two Great Pyrenees and am looking to ad a Newfoundland to our pack. Always looking for good training ideas! I always enjoy your videos!
Did the same thing with all my pups. worked for them all. even worked for an older dog i adopted who had been abused and didn't appear to be trained at all
Hi, I wish I had seen this sooner. Our new bulldog is almost 8 months old and we haven't begun training yet. We have always had boxers, usually two at a time, but being a little older we wanted something calmer. She is a love. I have been the leader of the pack and my husband has been a member. I do all the training. I will try the clicker, that seemed to work for you. I will let you know how it works out. She learned to use the bells in one day and never had a problem with adjusting to a leash so I'm hoping everything will go easy.
I am the lucky new owner of a beautiful 8 month old English Bulldog who is not trained to walk on a leash. I am 61 years old and he pulls really bad. I have only had him for 2 days, he is so sweet and not bad with my other little dogs. I feel very much blessed to have him!!!!!
What is the purpose of the clicker actually? Is it like when they get older and understand it more that the clicker sound is the "treat" instead of a real treat?
He is just so cute! You are an amazing dog mom! Can you show us how to teach a dog to “leave it” I’m getting a Saint Bernard within the next year and I’m going to need all the advice I can get!
@@nicolemyers5597 she's the best! Such a sweet calm temperament, don't get me wrong she's still a rambunctious puppy but she also loves to cuddle! Mine loves other dogs but is pretty nervous around strangers.
Logan Stieglitz oh I’m so glad to hear that!!! Hopefully I’m getting mine December of 2019 but I’m nervous of the cost ( of owning one) the food, the bills, insurance.... most people have told me to set aside $250 a month for a Saint.
@@nicolemyers5597 yeah I mean it's not the same as owning a small breed, right now she eats around 6 cups a day but she's just gotten to that point. We've had her since 11 weeks and we've only go through one 40 pound bag of food and she's about half way through the second one. We looked into the cost of insurance and it was ~140/month and we've just decided to make our own savings account, I would say $250 is a little high but not that far off if you are going to do insurance.
Please! Potty training video. I use the playpen method as well but I haven’t taken him out to pee/poo, I just let him go on the pad in the pen. I’ve had my bulldog for only a few days
I am so sorry that I did not finish this it just got a little boring but that’s why I left a like I really love your dog I have the same one but he is black and white and his name is Judge
Bulldogs definitely need their butt wiped! I thought we were the only one that did it. Every time our 9.5 yr old girl would back in from outside would just have a toilet paper roll by the sliding door and wipe bum and junk every time :)
