This video is about Bullet Proof Radiator Guards - Product Showcase Jeff focuses on the highlights of the Bullet Proof Radiator Guards. slavensracing....
I have been amazed by the hits these radiator guards have been able to take and protect the radiator. I have hit these so hard that the mounting bolts have bent but it saved the radiator.
Ran these on three bikes, only ever had one issue. With the way the slots are cut in the guard, sometimes sticks can poke through them because there is no angle to deflect them. Had one stick go through the fins on a radiator.
Those look very high quality. Certainly looks built well for the highest quality protection for the radiators. I’ll be ordering a pair very soon. As always thank you for great videos and product reviews.
BP are excellent products. I used 2 set of the radiator guards on KTM's and 2 set of rear disc guards. One thing to note tho the anodized orange fade drastically after 6 months. If i had to buy again i will go polished
Kinda wishing I bought these. I went with the Flo guards on my '19 300 xc... They are nice and will do the job, but the BPD guards look like they may have more protection for the bottom of the radiator.
I have dropped my bike on these guards a couple hundred times at least. I'm guessing I would be on my 3rd or 4th set of radiators by now without them. This will always be one of the first things I do to a bike. The only issue I have had is that I stripped one of the aluminum holes for the rad bolt, be careful with them.
Just installed these on my 2022 350 EXC-F. Easy install, except the fuel vent line is squished between the guard and the frame. It looks like in the video it looks like the line has been removed. I guess I need to remove the line or cut a hole in the guard?
Do not cut a hole in the guard. Get rid of all of those hoses and just retain one simple hose from the tank cap to the hole in the center triple clamp bolt.
but aren't you still relying on the outer plastics to stop them from folding back, and if they do fold back you risk bending the inner frame mounts because of how rigid they are?
@@slaverace1 comment below. Don’t these mount to the rigid connection frame? I seems to be pushing the radiator back 1-2 inches on any side fall at any decent rate of speed. My concern with these is damaging the frame where these connect when radiator moves back on impact.
I think all of the colors, except black, tend to fade over time. The P-Tech guards have a back-side brace which makes working on the engine a PITA. They are made in eastern Europe so if you had a fitment or warranty issue, it might be a pain to get resolved. BP guards are made in the USA and we support US vendors.
Hello Alexander: Two ways to address that issue. 1. Do a slight re-route of the hoses. 2. The most popular option is to clean things up by eliminating the hoses and other emissions components slavensracing.com/shop/slavens-mule-ez-emissions-delete-kit-for-20-ktm-hqv/
Thanks for the immediate reply. In the long run I will get rid of all this. For now, I decided to use a round file to create some small indentations to make room for the tubes not to be squeezed.
