One of the best documentaries I’ve seen in a very long time.

This documentary has left me a bit broken inside. Very well done. I really empathized with the team. Avalanche rescue and prevention seems like a completely different world nowadays, and considering the lack of resources and technology they all did an incredible job, even while being overwhelmed by the scale of the storms and the immense danger they were facing. I hope Jim forgives himself one day. He was a pioneer and helped so many more people than I think he's aware of.

I enjoyed the documentary, cried especially when they found Anna. But the people in the condos were told not to leave their condos. The place was shut down. It was dangerous. They were told but didn’t listen losing their lives.

Watching the documentary, when the rescue dog found Anna, but they weren't sure if she was dead or alive, I was hoping she was gone when they were forced to call off the search for a couple days. The worst feeling was, she had a chance, but now they'll never know because they have to call off the rescue....I pictured her being so close, but gone now because they took too long. I bawled like a baby when she was found, still alive

These players knew an avalanche was eminent at Alpine Meadows. Sure the danger was recognized but there needed to be more than just acknowledgment. For instance, evacuation.

Money over safety. This is the mantra everywhere I have worked in the U.S. for the last 30 years.

@@rustyshackle917 I was talking with my brother and we both agreed, like you, that money wins every time. In the end it cost them a lot more than simply evacuating.

The music is as loud as the talking. At times, louder. So poorly done in the editing room.

Mother Nature is a serial killer and her weapon of choice is water. I watched this and felt so bad for that entire ski patrol team, sometimes you cannot stop nature.

Had to turn it off after 10 minutes, wanted to see more but the goober who did the sound editing had the music so loud you could barely hear the commentary and interviews.

Music ruins the film. Its way too loud and takes away from the message. You can't hear the people talking

WOW. I kinda remember this on the news. Yes, Act of God. Where there's mountains and snow there's always a danger of avalanches, common sense 🙄. And that was one big snow storm....

Every ski resort in California is at the bottom of a mountain. You take the ski lift up and ski down the mountain.

Terrible sound mix and they don’t get to the story until 20 mins in. We don’t care about the backstory of these people. Weak doc.

Yeah, once they finally "got to the point," the loud music had me so disinterested that I stopped watching.

I don't get the hype/positive commentary on this film. The background music wasn't in the background, and I couldn't hear any of the dialogue clearly. The people interviewed were just boring.

Was it REALLY necessary for the avalanche forecaster to use vulgar language? Give me a break, already. Very disrespectful to the viewers.
