Great job on the table and I really liked the addition of the corner protectors! I was sure that the kitty approval process would involve laying on the top and covering it with cat fur, LOL.

The brass corners were just the right touch. Great job! I saw a guy who uses the wax sticks by rubbing them in to the wood. I thought it strange, but he makes it work. Hugo is such a sweetie and so patient.

I'm 34, have been learning about woodworking for 30 years, and I learned about 2 weeks ago that there are rubber pieces made specifically to be wrapped in sandpaper to fit specifically into certain sized grooves to make sanding more articulate. I love how the ways I learned are so archaic, nearly, and that there are so many new things to help make it SO much easier to get a desired finish so much easier!

With each project, you're upping your game. Pun intended. This gaming table has a new life with friends and/or family around it. Many enjoyable hours. I'm one of the two who appreciates the screws lined up. Those little details make a difference. Your editing skills have stepped up as well. Well done, wonderful person.

Growing up in the 60s in the US, everyone had a card table, but it didn’t look like that!ours was a Samsonite, with metal legs - no wood at all. My grandmother’s was part wood, part “paperboard”. The one I got when I got married was vinyl on top. Ours were all practical - seating for guests at large gatherings - but yours is MUCH better looking!

Rivets can easily be removed if the heads are carefully ground off, but new rivets or bolts will obviously be needed when reassembling

We had a female cat when I was little who looked just like him. She was called Lady Marmalade and her favourite spot to rest was the middle of the road and she would not move no matter how many times you beeped your horn at her. Always had to get out and physically move her 😂 if we were in and heard beeping we obviously would go out and move her for them 😂😂 Another memory brought back too is my Aunt had a table like that many an evening was spent playing Hearts or Gin Rummy 😂 You did a beautiful job and it looks wonderful I would be delighted to play cards on that 😊
