Burning Shores' Cauldron THETA is Hauntingly Beautiful 

I recently watched a video about the Foley artist for God of War, and I can't help but imagine all the real objects used to make the soundscapes for these scenes. ❤

As amazing as the horus fight was discovering this cauldron and its core stole the show for me. Mainly because it was entirely optional. People talk about how they dont like this cauldron because it wasn't related to the story and missable but i personally loved how it made you feel like you truly discovered something remarkable. The game doesn't to any corny tricks like make aloy say i should look for a cauldron or pin it to your map but it instead clues you in to the fact there might be one due to 2 details many apparently missed. The first being how some items require apex bilegut parts which never show up until you find theta and the second being the fact you cant overide them. Leading to the natural question of so now where's this caldron. I can see how some didn't like this but i presonally love to discover things on my own in games and not having my hand held through the whole experience and this dlc did alot of that Finally when i got to that breataking view of the massive chamber the core was housed i haven't feel such a sense of awe and dread seeing the raw scale of it all. Just thinking of the possibilities of chambers just like that around the globe in other cauldrons makes me hopeful for what the devs can accomplish for the third game since they'll be even more adapt with the ps5 and its capabilities. Imo while short this dlc was an excellent tech demo of what the console is capable of and that makes me thrilled to see whats next. Lastly i understand why they didn't since theres nowhere really to go but it would've been insane if they made the entire chamber you see the core in interactive. I know my dumbass tried to see exactly what was exploreable by jumping into the chasm and trying to climb the damn thing not expecting much. But regardless it would've been a cherry on the top if they did fully model it just for nosy explorers like myself. Epsilon was the standout of the first game. Iota was amazing due to its uniqueness with the tallneck blocking your escape. Kappa was amazing it felt like a less obtuse rendition of the legend of zelda's infamous water temple. I would have loved to see this cauldron idea redone in the 3rd game with a similar scale to that of theta to scare the shit outta thalassiphobia sufferers like myself. Theta Obviously just even though imo its better to veiw it as a next gen cauldron proof of concept. It was still a beautiful experience and idk i might be just used to videogame puzzles by now but each time i solved a puzzle was satisfied beyond belief since the solutions to many obstacles are really practical and not find a key to this door gamey to me.

The fact that it's not actually part of the story makes it ten times better.

You should do this kind of videos about the other cauldrons as well, even they are more or less well known by now. :))

Just finished the burning shores, the ending was insane, however I expected more from the dlc, I can't wait to see your reaction to the whole game on your playthrough 😃

i loved this cauldron, i even found it a bit short, and im really sad that this is the last one we`ll get for a while

The burning shores is so much darker in my opinion in terms of what old world bits we get. I mean the Arial captures being burning and war struck Tourist areas, the data points of people giving up hope and accepting death. I love it

The more and more I play HFW:BS, the more I feel the DLC really was a homerun in terms of the quality of what was put out.

So this only has the bilegut override. Nothing else? If so this could've been more where aloy encounters HEPH testing the zenith security codes on this couldron. Don't expect a half zenith half GAIA machine due to this taking place a couple days after the base game events
