I was talking to a coworker and he motivated me to build a Cub from scratch. I’m an A&P and used to work for CubCrafters. Love what you’re doing here! Will be following your progress to help me decide which airplane I will be building!
I would have loved to do this BUT I’m to old and poor now (72) maybe still an ultralight in my future though 🤔 I will however be following your progress with interest and wish you lots of luck! Glad you got some good guidence and motivators behind you (you’re gonna need them😉….) Ed
Just started talking with my wife about building from scratch and found your channel this morning! I'm a student pilot and electrician by trade, so won't be building anything any time soon, but happy to follow along!
Former RV builder, been dreaming about building a SC for a while. Curious if you'd share the V3R tubing kit cost so one doesn't have to bother them until ready to actually put up the money?
I think it was $4800 for the tubing kit for the fuselage. I got the landing gear and some fittings so it was a bit more. I plan to make a video about this soon!
@@phillipperkins1548 Used the VR3 assembly drawings for the fuselage and gear and then the northland drawing set for everything else. Google northland super cub plans they are well worth the $60.
@@sailorlee15 thanks thats kind of what I thiught. I have the northland plans already, have for a number of years now. having a lot of trouble getting VR3 to contact me back. tried several times with various other aircraft with no luck. im in Australia
