I heard some of the jail calls between Buster and Alex, with Alex asking Buster if he was planning on going hunting at that Moselle property where his mother and brother were killed. Buster said no..he doesn't want to go back there. Alex casually laughed and acted surprised by that and informed Buster that some friends were planning on going there hunting, if he wasn't. Why on earth would you want your surviving son going to the scene where your wife and other child were killed, *if* the "true killer(s)" are still on the loose??? Things like that, on top of all of the other evidence, really shows me that they arrested the right person.
I think the jury will feel he is guilty, but the prosecution did not prove its case. Sadly... I think that's how it will end. Even though the kennel video and the Onstar information and him coersing/gaslighting multiple witnesses is proof enough for me.
I agree what got me was the video Paul had on his phone mins before the murder took place an u can clearly hear Alec, Paul, & Maggie talking even though Alec was suppose to been asleep
I find it odd that they keep talking about not having service at the kennels but the night of murders when the cops show up he sure had service. He walked back and forth while talking to his brother. He was constantly on his phone.
Reminds me of the Jodi Arias case when detective Flores lost his young son during the trial, it must be so hard to keep your mind focused when going through such grief.
All these people saying Buster didn’t show emotion-there was reporting after this trial that when the cameras finally panned off of Buster; he collapsed and cried hysterically and had to be physically helped into his family’s car. I hate to see the rumors speculated about this young man. If your family was MURDERED, and you have to deal with that….then you have to process it was your Dad that did it…How is he supposed to cope? I didn’t know there was a rule book on how people grieve! I would be numb too! JFC he has released a statement asking the media to stop publishing defamatory comments about him. This young man’s every move and face gesture has been analyzed. Until he’s been proven to have had involvement in Mr Smith’s death, isn’t he innocent until proven guilty? Isn’t that his American right? If he did it, the truth will come out. But until then, people need to leave him alone! He lost HIS WHOLE IMMEDIATE FAMILY now. I don’t know if I could comprehend my own father murdered my mother and brother either for a while. I would go into shock.

He's not really showing the typical delayed/altered cognition or frozen or limp postures typical of shock. Its possible he has some level of dissociation. I lost someone very dear to me, and had all kinds of inappropriate ( hysterical) laughter at unrelated topics, but my grief, depression and confusion were more or less consistent for years and anytime i heard his name, it was instantly greivously painful, no matter how strong i tried to be. For Buster to be so consistently relaxed, bright, chatty, lucid, unfazed does seem odd. He does show some shakiness and depressing tone in his voice when shown the picture of the white house. Sometimes the killers/accomplices get emotional faced with the evidence. Emotion does not prove or disprove guilt or innocence alone. Facts should always be the deciding factor, not speculations.
@@taleandclawrock2606 As a psychologist and in accordance with the DSM TR, this diagnosis presents with social impairment (calling the lawyer by his first name, rule out this symptom), memory loss (recalls misplacement of guns, rule out this symptom) no loss of consciousness, sensor-or motor maladies. Nope, Buster is fine. He has grief related trauma, sure, but he has been groomed and coached and is "ACTNG" in kind.
Actually, I have Hearn NONE of the witnesses have been kept out of the proceedings. Both sides have agreed to NOT sequester the witnesses. Defense had a hearing to state that all the defense witnesses wanted to be in the courtroom to show the jury they support Alex. Since none of the defense witnesses are “fact witnesses”, at least as far as witnessing the crime, the Prosecution didn’t have much of a legal basis to object to the request by the defense.
So strange how the father is looking so proud of his son.... like father watching his son give a best man speech. No fatherly anguish that his son has to testify in a tragic case.
@@Tcpix02 comprehension skills are not your strongest suit. Where in any of the above comments did anyone mention the son…. It was about the father’s behavior that was noted
Buster gives me the like father like son feel and he appears so cold, calculating and frequently looks for his father and defense table when he answer questions. Not one tear for Mom and bro'. very interesting...
Buster's been coached by his fathers attorney for this for months. There's no question he hasn't been asked. Everything he does and says has been vetted by Alec's attorneys.
Of course he has. Attorneys prep all of their witnesses. You don't think the prosecution witnesses were coached for hours? It would border on malpractice for an attorney not to thoroughly prep one of his witnesses.
There’s no way he’s going to drop his dad anything he will stick up for him. He won’t admit anything he knows because his future would be at risk is lying for daddy.
My heart goes out to Buster. He's left in a horrible position. His mother and brother both murdered and his father is accused of the crime. That has to be rough. Praying to God to give him a peace that surpasses all understandings.
It may not have been him,it could have been another family member, He may not even be aware of why it happened, or another family member who disapproved of that relationship, the only thing is ,I believe I heard that his father and uncle offered their legal services for free, in that case, which is unusual,,did they collect monies on that case,in another manner?,,remember it's 2015 its more open now, than 13 years ago,it would bring shame on the family name too, if it became common knowledge,of a suspected relationship with a man
Now , real life and living begins.Daddy AM, is going away for a very long time.Whether its for murder or financial crimes. So sad. They had it all....handed down to them from generations and still could not hold of the greed. Now daddy, will not be so well connected anymore.Absolutely no tears or sadness for the mom or brother , that was murdered.
BUSTER can be the one to turn over a new leaf! Up to him now to break the chain of destructive behavior. (and come clean with the unsolved murder case of young Stephen).
Of course Buster was coached beforehand! After all, he's on the stand to talk about his idyllic family life --- all the games his Dad coached, the different houses they had, and all the hunting parties they participated in just to kill anything with a heartbeat.
@@LizzaJo --- Whatever is introduced in court, and is properly addressed by the defense or the prosecution --- or both --- is what I care to discuss or opine on. Everything else is gossip and innuendo. I don't care about either.
Witnesses are routinely coached beforehand. In every case, civil or criminal. They are usually told what questions they’ll be asked and what to expect from the cross examination. It’s not unusual at all.
@ Mel I know Man they loved killing animals- seems a lot of bonding done over and Paul walking around with two guns most of time when he went over to other guy across the way to deal with his hogs.. He said he showed his Son how to “dispatch” honestly a gruesome and dangerous lifestyle ..
AM smiling at his son while he testifies like he's so proud. Do you realize what you have put your family and friends through??? Obviously, so out of touch.
It's of upbringing in that area and affluence....... don't show emotions... keep things...issues, secrets etc within the family. Generations of this I am sure.
He can't remember what he was told to say. He's failing the pop quiz on the coached material. Surprised he doesn't have a cheat sheet written on his hands.
Buster was lying when he claimed that the family believed that Paul was not driving the boat the night of the accident. They knew Paul was the driver. He lied.
Strange how he doesn't remember the calls from his mother made on the day she was murdered. I would think it would be unforgettable. Permanently etched on his memories.
You got that right! My real mother was murdered by her horrible husband. It's been years and I can still to this day remember her last 2 phone call convos and even her voice message. These folks are heartless and sick. Like they were both in on it....with knowledge or doing it themselves.

Thing is Buster could of been next, the next murder distraction away from the financial and boating accident dramas taking Alex Murder down. Yet he wants dad to be seen as innocent as if Buster is the protected golden child. The whole thing is just f@cked up
@@bradford_shaun_murrayexactly. The way Alex thinks is troubling. He murdered his wife and son as a distraction from the money he'd been stealing. What's even crazier is , I believe 100% the intention was to frame Eddie for Maggie and Paul's murder.
This WHOLE family is just sleazy. Funny that their Name means so much to Alex. Now his name is equal to crap. Ruined the whole families reputation and hopefully statis. How sad a 26 year old grown man, or man child, still living off his family!! I just don't like a grown daddy's boy. This one got thrown out of school for cheating and daddy was doing everything he could to pay to cover up and get him back in.
True, not to mention his involvement in the mrdr of that young gay man found in the middle of a deserted road. He's a menace to society just like his pappy. Annoying random point...he must have touched the mic at least 100 freaking times. And, his entire stance was arrogant. Pure traushhh.
There's questions regarding the death of a housekeeper/housemaid on their property too, the Murdaugh's paid a settlement to the employees' family & it wasn't a clear cut accidental or natural death. Edit: after watching the Netflix docuseries I learnt that Alex Murdaugh sued himself on the housekeepers family's behalf without their knowledge, a settlement was given by the insurance company for a 6 figure amount but Murdaugh Snr never handed over the cash to the family, they never received a dime in compensation.
Multiple deaths associated with this family. A car accident that could have killed passengers, luckily no one hurt, but the incident was cleaned up and no DUI, charges or traffic infractions on Paul. That was before a boat “accident” that killed a girl, and this family tried to frame the friend of Paul’s. It goes on And on and I wonder how many other lives they’ve effected or hurt that are still under wraps or kept out of the media.
That family picture doesn't mean anything! Even if my husband and I were mad at each other , nobody knew it. We didn't believe in making others uncomfortable, especially family.
I am divorcing my husband right now after 25 years of secret domestic violence. I am 60 years old. Every picture we took with our 3 beautiful children was the picture perfect family. Pictures do not tell you what the actual home life is and I can tell you that by personal experience.
Which I found so disturbing, your son is in a courtroom giving testimony related to his dead brother and dead mother, That's the only reason hies there, the father should be wrecked by this, at the very least heartbroken watching his son having to go through that, not normal.

I agree with you 💯. He’s well aware of everything all the deceit that is why he isn’t emotional because he can’t fake what he doesn’t feel. He’s got to focus on every word he says and how he says it.
Agreed he has a bad temper like his dad and Paul. Paul was hitting on his ex when they were together. In the Documentary on Netflix Paul's ex talks about hoe Buster was gay and was with Stephen the boy who died and was found in the middle of a road. It was said that Buster was called by Stephen to give him a ride and Buster showed up with some other guys with him and they had just came from their baseball game. Stephen thought they were there to help him but it is said that they started calling him names and making g fun of him and then either all of them or just Buster beat him with their baseball bat until he died. He was then placed in the middle of the road to look like a hit an run. His family took care of all of it and the cops questioned it at first but when Busters name started going around that he was actually there they say the case was swept under the rug real quick and no one heard another word about it after that until all of this stuff started happening and investigators started looking into all the deaths surrounding their family. They are finding all kinds of evidence and very odd situations of others dying in weird ways while at their house or on their property and other situations. It is all crazy. This family thought they could get away with murder bc they had done it so many times before but its all coming to a head now and all of their skeletons are being drug out for the public to see. Buster will be the next one in court for murder over the death of Stephen. .
I would like to think Id know how I'd react in his shoes but I don't know. I'd like to imagine what his upbringing was like to not know parents birthday under examination during a world wide sensationalized and televised trial of the murder of my mom and bro where my dad's the accused, but I cannot. In fact, there is no one I know coming close to any of this I could ask. Our society is basic and hasn't evolved. We are no better than the attendees at the Roman colosseum s where watching someone be eaten by a lion was entertainment. Your anonymity should not be an excuse.
I am sorry he’s lost his Mother & Brother , but he’s already been caught out for cheating at College & knows his father paid $60.000 to get him back in. This young man has spent his whole life learning that money & power can buy anything or anyone.
Alex Didn't Kill them. You allow the real killers to get away .And condemn an innocent man. Alec may have lied( like you all do!) But he didn't kill them. These were likely the Most Vicious Heinous REVENGE KILLINGS associated with the Boat accident! Stop following Buster with an intent to get him killed Also !!

Out of all the attorneys Alex could choose from, I can not wrap my head around why he chose Jim to represent him. The guy seems lost in the courtroom, not confident, slow, boring to watch .... hammered in non important time lines and completely missed the most important key points!
Too bad this god thingie isn't going to testify, eh? Also curious, where was this same god thingie as the bullets were leaving the guns? Day off perhaps?
There's a wild story about 'chip off the ol block' Buster hooking up with poor innocent Stephen Smith who was killed in a supposed hit and run car accident. The Murdaughs offered to represent the Smith family for free.....that's about as suspicious as it gets. Stephen's Dad mentioned that he knew his son was having relations with Buster.
Except he got tossed out of law school for plagiarism, right? Not too golden, except maybe in this family they would just be annoyed that he got caught.
So one must be crying all the time, otherwise they were not emotionally attached? Everyone processes grief differently. My dad died abruptly in front of me, we were very close, but I did not wear my grief on my sleeve on front of people, but I think about him all the time and will never forget that moment.
@@powerboatguy2308 theres a difference between showing emotion & being stone cold, calm, collected like you are explaining how to scramble eggs. the 2 guilty parties are the only ones left.. dead men tell no tales, except wen a dead man presses record on his cell as his dad is murdering them! But SLED let Buster remove the guns from the house AFTER the murders, while they were there investigating it. Hows that for being devoid of emotions? Psychopaths. They own SCs legal system so I doubt even if they had CTV footage of them killing (Paul & Maggie) they would be found guilty. Open investigation on Buster for killing his gay lover Steven. Corruption. 5 bodies in 4 yrs. If you were a juror, how would you vote bc dragging this trial out in front of them does nothing but show them how powerful the Murdaughs are. Even the Gov of SC gave them the highest award, "Palmetto Award" for "helping the Police." Helping them do what?
I like this guy. I think it's very difficult for him and people on social media are generally assholes. He is in court, the killings happened a while back so he grieved, he was born in money so of course he'll be spoiled in some ways and he lives in US where everyone asks you how you are but nobody waits for an answer. I feel bad for him.
What are they implying? The real killer knowing people were home at Moselle snuck on to the property by the kennels WITH NO WEAPONS OF THEIR OWN just waiting for Paul and whoever else to show up so they could hopefully find guns there left around and loaded to blast them away. What killer comes with no weapon. This is insanity. Also the real killer would have to assume this very first property owned by rich people would definitely have first class CCTV security, secret cameras and or guards. That property had lots of buildings and trees to hide cameras. Again this is insanity to think a "real killer" murdered them.
I cannot agree more with you, being seasoned defense lawyers as they are, and from what I can gather, ones who will knowingly and gladly represent guilty parties for the right price, the defence lawyers have vast knowledge of just how criminals operate particularly how they try to think of every eventuality, and they're clearly relying on the Jury's lack of knowledge as to how real criminals operate to believe such a ridiculous story of sheer luck on behalf of the shooter. Which leaves just one of two options, either defense is using this bumbling shooter with an incredible run of luck because they're struggling to offer alternative options for who did this... Well believable ones anyway, or they are incredibly lazy, unimaginative lawyers who aren't the supposed dream team as claimed that these people have a knack of portraying themselves as something they're not, and are resigned to the fact that they're effectively pissing in the wind.
Andddd they couldnt have been to upset with Alex to tell him, Delete your phone history, hide your clothes and go visit your Mom and offer to pay for her caretaker wedding that U didnt seem to care about before
Sad to say his daddy stole people money to have all the assets and homes. I feel for the victims. I am listening to all Bustee talking about all the properties and all the things he got to do. While other families got nothing. Its not Busters fault his dad is a theif and a druggie but i would be ashamed of my dad.

Alex and his defense team have set this young man for failure by making him him testify in such a straightforward case. Buster is the remaining son and he should have at least told him the truth and advise him to learn from his mistakes and be a better man/father/husband in the future 😢
I'll never believe 1 or 2 people drove out to that property to shoot Paul or Maggie and "hoped" there was a loaded weapon or weapons just sitting there for "them" to use. 🙄 Buster's testimony is nothing but a distraction and maybe the defense's way to humanize Alex or try to make him sympathetic. He didn't know much about his addiction and wasn't sure about how he reacted to being confronted about drugs...but yet, they were on the phone as a family non-stop all the time. This guy ...as many are saying....sounds very well prepped for giving his testimony.
I have been abusing drugs for years before anyone around me found out….addicts are manipulative, lying professionals believe me. Non of this proves that he killed them but it does not surprise me that nobody knew about his addiction!!!
I don't personally believe he had a drug addiction to the degree that he is playing it up. I don't know why he had so many pills on him, but for example today and Alex's testimony he talked about taking upwards of 130 mg pills a day. That this was an addiction that he was already knee deep in by the time his father, Busters Grandpa, retired in 2006. If that's true, and how can we believe that it is, that means for most of Buster's childhood his dad was on drugs. I don't know how many drug addicts you know, but I've never known any who for over 20 years never switch to a harder substance that cost less, never had a messy episode that someone could testify they were caught falling asleep or nodding off and so no... I don't think he was an addict and I think that's why his son wasn't aware. But I do think it's a convenient story to tell your younger son when you're found with pills in your possession that you were perhaps pedaling or selling to other people. And I think after you've killed your wife and sun and stoled from all your friends and co-workers, it's convenient to say that it was the drugs that did it.

You can be a family member of and addict and not understand it or know it. I was married to an addict and because I don’t use drugs/alcohol, I wasn’t able to grasp it or pick up on it. Just saying, addicts are very convincing. It’s hard to know if you don’t have those issues. Don’t put the cart before the horse on this guy.
Me being a victim of a father who is a sociopath and had my brother killed and got away with it. His smiling at Buster is natural manipulation tactic. My dad did the same in court. It is appalling that you'd even smile at such a situation. A true victim if innocence if he was, would be hanging his head low, and shattered that his life's uprooted and the killer is still free.
Or, removing you natural bias, it could also be a father who’ve wife and son were murdered, father died after lengthy illness, mother with Alzheimer’s and just proudly beaming at the only family member he has. He looked and sounded like a loving father
Or a father proud of his son for being courageous in the face of a govt/state actor that is out of control and too lazy to investigate other(s), and is truthful and stern yet not intimated… idk just another perspective/view of what I just watched
Yea I definitely agreewith u Nina !i think his smiling is a " I knew I picked the right son" kinda look..I agree as someone who came from an abusive manipulative parent as well..and I am the oldest so Its like ur groomed the most to obey and automatically know what ur parent wants u to say..even to this day I'm still guilted into doing what my mother wants even if it causes me stress.. also that family abused their power for years and got away with so much illegal and horrible things.. buster didn't mess up like his brother did and he didn't bring eyes on his dad's business so of course he wasn't a target like his brother..I guarantee it was the dad..if he can take money from the whole town with no remorse and constantly and illegally cover up everything him and his family did then u know killing isn't unfathomable

@Jean Kile I disagree, he was there to sway the jury in favor of his father, it’s very much a show for the jury. The entire court proceedings is a show. He’s not a lawyer delivering the facts, he’s a character witness for his father…which would require some emotion. And some passion when asked about the relationships between his family members.
We can't go off what emotions a person is or isn't showing. When my mother passed I cried hysterically that day when viewing her body at the hospital. Driving home I let out the loudest scream that I didn't know I was capable of doing. Then 7 days later at her Homegoing I didn't shed a tear. Not 1 tear!!! You can tell he’s lying a lot because of how he looks down instead of straight, trying to keep his facial expression intact…with his mouth open. He definitely was not being himself on the stand, I’ll tell you that much.
The irresponsiblity toward firearms shown by this family makes me only assume they felt the same reckless privilege throughout the rest of their dealings
They want you to think that! They were very responsible gun owners. Both these men are guilty & dead men tell no body. SLED let Paul remove all the guns from the house AFTER the murders while they were there investigating. Pauls cell recorded His dad talking at the scene of the murders! Paul did the right thing pressing "record." Watch the Netflix documentary. They will both go free bc they own the SC legal system. Who knows what they hav on the Governor. So much Corruption.
Watching this testimony from Buster in my opinion it seems as though Buster didn’t know too much about Paul and where Paul was living and at some times he didn’t even know where (Buster) he lived at times. This testimony was a really good example of a rehearsed conversation. This family unit is to be deceiving as a healthy family but what kind of family lives off of other people’s stolen money and acts like it’s a healthy way to live?
So sad that all the family seemed to have the kind of relationship we would all want. Having a big house where you can invite friends and family over for bbq and hunting. A weekend house for getaways. Parents and kids and grandparents all seeing each other regularly. Even in the final video they all seem to be joking around. It must have been a terrible shock of incongruity to see your Dad pointing and actually shooting a gun at you. 😢
Not for all the Whisky in Ireland. You make it sound lidealistic, rarely are these rich people living this way, usually their still searching for more!
There was a young man who tutored Buster in college. It was rumored that they were lovers. On a night when Buster was with him, the young man ended up dead. This family makes things and people go away.
Very Sad and the family still doesn't have answers. If it was the other way around every stone would've been turned over..Power and Money can be sickening when given to the wrong ppl...Here's an example
This will make me sound like an ass, but I'm 33 and couldn't tell you the bdays of my 3 older siblings, mom, or dad. Hell, I even have to take pause for a moment to remember the day of my daughter's birth. Some of us just suck at things. Bdays is one of them
Wondering the very same. I know everyone's birthday in my family, we were close. Maybe things weren't as buster described, i.e. maybe more tension & disfunction with the home team than acknowledged. a) Paul's nickname was "the little detective." b) little detective was handled by taking off his head with a 12 ga. - Then, mama shot in head with the blackout.
In their own minds they think they are so Superior they have no clue how they really look to the rest of the world in physical appearance spiritual growth and emotional intelligence. Flunky's all of them.
Shaking his head yes before any question posed. He nodded his head in agreement to acknowledge he remembered the practice interrogation. Pretending he didn't know where he lived is a joke. Rock Hill & Columbia. He doesn't know where he lived how does he know where Paul lived wait he doesn't. Such arrogant entitled ignorance!
With the look on Alex’ face, he seemed to be so proud of his older son, Buster! The way he answers the lawyer, just short & concise…..he’s used to such as they are family of lawyers.
This young man has had everything he knew and loved ripped away from him. No matter who is guilty he is the one that now has a life sentence without his family.
@@allenmaddox203 honestly I feel like if anyone had any evidence he did anything to that boy, when Netflix came around and when the pitchforks came out, so would have the evidence about that guy
It amazes me that Buster states he did not want to carry a gun or have security protection after the murders??? Everyone else is scared but him and Daddy???so odd....
My husband would often get my birthday month wrong. My dad did not even know the color of his wife’s eyes. We had a close family. Family dynamics are not the same. 🤷🏻♀️
@@Love-bo3df exactly. My son has a huge heart but @20 years old. I still have to text a reminder its my ex husbands (his dad) birthday. This past year he actually remembered.
This whole family is crooked. I feel sure Ole red on the head with his lack of emotion doesn’t care about anybody but himself !! He is complicit in Mallory Beech’s death due to letting little brother use his ID. I wonder when he’s going to be charged and the girlfriend. What the heck!! There is no way I would associate myself with that family especially since she’s a lawyer!!
Why? From everything I've heard about Buster he was nothing like Paul. I don't understand all this hate directed at Buster. He comes across on the stand and in phone calls as a very nice, polite young man.
If my mom and little brother had recently been murdered and I was a witness in the murder trial of my father I believe I would have more emotion than buster while describing my family knowing they're gone forever. In my opinion he talks about Paul like he hated him.
@@SophieBird07 I don't care. My mother passed away in 2007 I still get emotional talking about her, my dad passed in 2012 I still get emotional talking about him, my oldest sister passed away in 2011 I still get emotional talking about her. My point is no matter how many times you have said it or how long its been if you truly love them and it really hurts to be without them you would show genuine emotion and speak of them in a good light not like he speaks of his brother like Paul wouldn't put things back where he got them and I didn't want to share my gun with him 😫 he sounds like a grown brat
@@kaciecharles5629and this is why you’re an arm chair detective. SophiaBird07 is exactly right, it’s been rehearsed so many times already. Some people have a better handle on their emotions than others and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Must be so hard for this young lad. Losing his entire family, dad doing life in prison, mother and little brother murdered 😢. Hope busters doing okay 🖤
Don't be sad for him, because buster also killed a 15-year-old boy called Stephen Smith, just because he knew that buster was gay. This family is from hell man 😅.
This is the danger of allowing witnesses to sit in the court room during the trial before they testify. He can adapt his testimony to cover each point that the prosecution has made. He even admitted that he never told anyone about where they park at the grandparents until a few days earlier. I had a good look at that picture and there were no tire tracks showing in the grass to indicate that a Suburban repeatedly ran over it. I would like to know why the prosecution didn't ask him about being thrown out of law school for cheating on redirect. That would show his dishonesty to the jury.
I think they have missed a lot of opportunities but you have to be a complete idiot to think Alec isn't guilty I also think when he says here he's not talking to the dog I think he's talking to whomever he gave his clothes and weapon only a close family member or his son
