In this guided audio, we will be exploring gentle awareness of the breath together with passive muscle relaxation.
During the exercise, your breathing will become softer and slow down a little, and this will help to calm your mind and nervous system. It will also gently improve blood flow and oxygen delivery to your body and brain.
This exercise will help you to develop 2 key skills in Buteyko Breathing: Relaxation of the body, and letting go of control of the breath.
It’s very gentle and can be supportive for anyone who is experiencing symptoms of asthma, anxiety, or insomnia or for anyone who is recovering from illness.
It is also ideal for anyone with a low control pause and a good alternative to the breathe light exercise if you struggle with that.
This breathing exercise is suitable for most individuals, but if you are pregnant or have any serious health conditions, then please check with your doctor before listening. Also, please don’t listen to this exercise while driving or operating machinery.

Soo good, thank you!!❤ I have trouble sleeping and actually fell asleep just before the end even while sitting up 🤭 just wished I was laying down and ready for bed so I could’ve drifted off and stayed there for the night haha🙂

Hey! How do you add the background music to this? Voice is so soothing but i miss a bit of ambient background sounds, would like to add it myself. I use this video pretty mich daily to ground myself!

Does doing this meditation usually bring up stored anger or trauma by chance? I feel like it did the second time I used this (just now). Not that I’m panicking, it’s just something I’m aware of.

Hi @Darkknight_5555, great question. Yes it can do - in fact anything that takes us into the body and down-regulates the nervous system can do this. It's a great way to release stored stress and emotion. If it feels intense, then you can try shorter sessions. If it's brining up something that feels too much, then it's might be worth working with a somatic experiencing practitioner or similar to support you on your journey. 🙏

I get aggravated and irritated irrationally so it seems. I hate it that I feel this way so I'm doing everything I can to change and be a better man. I'm hoping that this will somewhat help

I'm just trying to change the way I talk and my mannerisms. Because apparently the way that I address people are talk isn't polite or has any feeling to it so I've got to work on that
