I was never a fan of the series at all. However, Black Flag was 'my' favourite because of the naval warfare. Some amazing little touches such as the water running over your ship deck and the crew singing. Great fun
I can't say I was a fan of Black Flag, I mean there were things about it that I liked, but there are a lot of things I didn't really care for. However I didn't necessarily hate the fact that tied the story of Black Flag up with Connor Kenway and his father hates him as Connor was the grandson and hate him was Connor's father and Connor's father happened to be the pirate. But other than that the story was okay I guess, it kind of felt like a mix and match kind of everywhere kind of a deal, it wasn't exactly as memorable for me personally, I remember Assassin's Creed two Brotherhood and Revelations more than I remember any other game, I love the story I love the location I love the fighting and I love the characters, so when Connor to his father to his grandfather, the story I didn't really care too much about, it's like the writing went from really fucking good to really mediocre and mundane.
@@user-tp5yb4hr4wfunny thing it’s the opposite for me because I found Ezio trilogy to be a bland good guy vs bad guy story because templars were a step back from the first game and reduced one note cartoon villain same with Ezio who is basically a Gary Stu. I always found 3&4 to be a step in the right direction due to having more compelling templars.
I have only ever played two assassin’s creed games the whole way through. My introduction was to Ezio Auditore and then Edward Kenway. Only discovered AC4 this year and 10 years after its release, I was experiencing it for the first time. It was awesome. Love it.

Great review! One thing that I'll always remember is stumbling upon one of the Legendary Ships for the first time. Those battles were incredible and the way they emerge from the mist is cinematic
i just started this game after Unity being my first AC game ever. All i can say is i wish i didn’t let all the AC memes tarnish my view of the franchise , sure it’s not perfect, most open world games aren’t but I had a blast with Unity and so far loving the world in AC4. Ubisoft did these little touches to detail that constantly surprise me and I didn’t think I’d have so much fun with the parkour system.
this is why i love single players there is nothing some trainer can't handle ik ik it's cheating but skipping boring content is so much better than getting angry and annoyed when you trying to have fun that's why in tailing mission i enable invis and game speed 5x or maybe even 10 if it's a long journey and be done with it in 2 min and can get into fight stuff
It's not the worst and it's not the best AC game, but it's the best pirate game so far. Adventurer, explore every island. Ship combat. Awesome game. I the remake will be bigger. Auto generate assassin missions even after finish the story.
I remember getting assassin's creed 3 and black flag because i couldn't decide on which one to get since im a huge fan of history, so i was like why not get both and i ended up loving assassin's creed black flag, the story was phenomenal it was one of the few games that made me cry at the ending, the soundtrack was very pirateyit was just a banger, the sea exploration was a ton of fun because it was a never ending adventure you never know what you might stumble into and made you feel like a pirate.
How on earth is Edward a "charismatic character"? He is a scrupulous scoundrel who goes over dead bodies for his own enrichment. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed either. He treats his wife in a less than emphatic way. I think his rather despicable character is one of the major downsides of AC Black Flag. No noble traits here at all; when he happens to do good, it is because he thought he could make a buck. BTW, you forgot to mention that crouching is not possible which I find hilarious for a game emphasising stealth that much. Even it were just for cosmetic reasons, it would help if Edward wouldn't walk around upright all the time. That sprinting between hiding places and killing enemies which make loud sounds when dying works while enemies are only feet away is stupid. This game must have been amazing at the time it was released but even then could have easily been better and has now since been bettered many times. P.S.: Maybe it plays well on a console but on a PC the controls are just terrible. Very frustrating when Edward simply does not do what you exepct him to do. Later games in the franchise have far better controls.
I love black flag. Was my first assassin to every play. Then freedom cry. I love them both. The story with the characters really fit . I didn’t grasp to Origen that much. Only played it to go on the pyramid lol

I've never played AC 4 until I got the rebel collection for my switch. Which has assassin's creed 4,rogue,all the DLC and two additional pieces of content that's exclusive to the switch.Blackbeard's lost journal and an AC manga (I was just as shocked about that as you would be) the game looks phenomenal on the switch especially the vibrant colors of the sea ,sky, grass,the ships,hell the sand looks good.There's some things I don't like for example you have to find and catch sea shanties which is completely fucking dumb.This is Assassin's Creed not Pokemon Caribbean (although that would be pretty dope)

@@JacksGameReviews Yeah it's call Assassin's Creed Awakening volume 1. Just found out that this isn't the only AC manga. There's another one called Assassin's Creed Dynasty volume 1 and blade of shao jun which currently has four volumes.
@@Wickedred413 yes sometimes if you’re standing right at the spot where one was, it won’t appear and so you can run around just near the location and as soon as it shows that run directly towards it and you’ll be able to get it before it can even move!! Sometimes they’ll show back up with you standing right under where it spawns at! But this is the main part of all the assassins Creed games that I cannot stand either, it is so stupid having to chase down something that is purposefully floating away from you and making course corrections and going this way and going that way every time you try to get it with their cumbersome running and jumping precision, which I should say is nonexistent…. Other than that, it’s a fun game

It was free a while ago on Epic... not a fan of the clunky moves tho. And it really feels like a game that was made primarily with consoles in mind. It's a bit of wierd move to make a game in a open world sort of manner and then have a movement system that limits you to jump inbetween fixed waypoints
I kind of like the original assassin‘s creed and I kind of liked assassin’s creed two, but out of all the assassin’s creed games I own, I’ve never really considered myself a big fan of assassin’s creed?? However, I tried to start games and Black Flag multiple times and fell off because of getting frustrated when I didn’t understand how to play the game, but I have literally just started playing it again and I am absolutely loving it!! I think the pirate theme and having your own pirate ship in a vast open world with the element of assassins Creed, is a perfect mixture and as such, is my favorite assassin‘s creed game!! (I own every assassin‘s creed from assassin‘s creed one, all the way up until odyssey and every game that came out in between including the little spin off and have never beat not one of them…. I just never liked how they controlled, especially when you’re running around on foot and you will have your character jump to his death so many damn times that you will literally want to hunt down the developer so you can greet them “have a chat..”
Combat system is meh I agree but let’s not forget it’s a 2013 game. You can’t compare it to what’s now being released in games! But yeh Black Flag is legendary AC game
I’ve been re playing and I’m at 99% total competition all I have to do is get the 2 community challenge weapons n ik that they don’t do them anymore but is there something in the store I could buy that would give me it
I played Odessy first. Then Black Flag. Odessy won, the game play story and characters where much more fun to interact with. And if you like naval warfare, then the odessy ship with the flame throwers is great fun. Alexis is some Assassin.
If you play it again try to listen to the sword combat sounds. They always play either late or too early. Everytime I play it I hear it It’s a nitpick but yeah just distracting

I originally loved the whole franchise back in the day, revisited it last week and had to turn it off after 3-4 hours, definitely not as good as I remembered. Everything about it is just so mediocre, it's pretty sad
Game was from 2013, then ported to PS4 and the XBox One... still has the best looking characters our there, the best looking sea and sea battles, islands are super detailed, for me the AC game that had high detail standards even compared to Odissey and Valhalla, it still looks better & more realistic in buildings, details and sea (and still the best pirate game ever made so far). Weakeste points: Stealth mandatory missions (terrible A.I. that did not improve over the years) and combat missing special skills (like Odissey, Valhalla had too many skills reaching the ridiculous).
that you see every object on the map marked, is actually a DLC one of the "time saver" like the starter pack for mor money and wood/metal, all included in gold edition and jackdaw edition as it first was released and you didnt buy the dlc for i gues 3€ was it you had no markers, just the watchtowers
110% BLACK FLAG 🏴☠️ IS THE BEST I CAN understand if assassins creed fans like the other games and this is basically a completely different story of game with a few touches of the original games basically just to say it’s part of the game series BUT AS I PLAYED THE ORIGINAL GAME AND THEN JUST DIDNT WANT TO BE CONSTANTLY PLAYING A STEALTH GAME 🥷🏿 I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONE WOULD NOT LOVE THIS ITS GOT THE BEST OF SO MANY DIFFERENT FEATURES STEALTH AND BATTLES YOU BUILD YOUR CREW AND YOU BUILD A FLEET AND AMASS A FORTUNE AND THE BEST THING IS BUILDING YOUR SHIP TO THE ELITE LEVEL AND HONESTLY IVE HAD THE GAME FROM RELEASE AND THEN GOT MY ps5 AND got back into it lol you can do the main story but lol there’s so much else to do Ive thought many occasions I’d play it for a short period and then 3am 🕒 I realised well that was a session lol it has that thing that makes you finish a mission storm a fort and then you think just one more it’s definitely a fun game with the perfect atmosphere and everything else it’s definitely one of the games that you can go back to I mean I hadn’t played it in years and got my ps5 and it was free to play so a no brainer
