If you're on the fence just buy one. I just bought a 17 Z51 3LT with a 7speed with 5700 miles for 53K. The 7speed feels great. The stick feels like a bolt action rifle smooth precision. The clutch is firm but not stiff. It handles great is fast, and for money you won't get better performance. And this comes from a guy who's owned a scat pack charger, a S197 5.0 with a 6 speed manual, a 5th gen SS Camaro with a 6 speed manual, a 500 whp 2015 SHO, a 450 whp SS Trailblazer, a 73 roadrunner with a 440 max wedge swap
Great review. I also remember when i first saw the C7 and fell in love immediately with it. Sadly, that's far from true when it comes to the C8. V8 forever.

That’s tough, idk man lol. I wouldn’t consider myself a mopar guy when it comes to muscle cars, but the wide body challengers and chargers are head turners on the streets imo

Nice Alfa! I love seeing them around, classic and new, because you rarely see them amongst most other cars! I’m ALWAYS looking for the Quadrifoglio whenever I see a Gulia or Stelvio cause I feel like they’re real car people and I appreciate them lol. And yes! I could never really shake the old guy feeling in the C7. My neighbor has one and he’s an older guy, but he RARELY drives it and when he does he drives it slow and seemingly not long. It’s a great grand tourer, but I don’t think it’s for me. I’m sure the Z06 is miles better, but for the price, there’s a lot more cars I’d be interested in honestly. Bought my 18z in 2021 for 78k. Glad I bought it because interest rate was low at the time.. if I would to buy it in 2024.. I probably won’t afford the payments
Not sure if its just me but i still find the C6 to be best, its so simple yet a total beast but the C7 interior is leagues better and the performance is obviously higher too- ill have to drive one and see if its a notable difference in drive though
Honestly I may agree with you. I haven’t driven a C6 but I really feel like I’d prefer it to the C7. I love the way they look and sound, especially when modified. Especially a grand sport or Z06
Thanks! I was in between normal, sport, and track. I think I should have also mentioned that this particular car had over 120k miles on it and I’m unsure of its previous life before I drove it. I think some people feel like I kinda dunked on the car (not saying you specifically) but if anyone wants to get in cheap, this is possibly the kind of car you could run into ya know? I’ve had my 2017 C7 Grand Sport for a couple of years now! I have no interest in the mid engine C8 at all! In all honesty the C7 is way more car than most can utilize to it’s potential! Nice video 👍

What is as good at its price point ($37K to $50) - I cant think of anything else; maybe the Jaguar F Type R (but is an automatic). Mustang GT is less but def. not as nice. Porsche Boxster - but thats like a gocart; boxster S maybe. I can't think of anything else better at its price point - what do you think? C8 is definitely better - but after basic addons and taxes its almost double ($75K vs. $40K)
If we’re talking new cars, the first few I can think of are Supra, Nissan Z, civic type R. Technically the Camaro does have a 2024 model year, so it’s the only V8 powered direct competitor. If someone was buying right now, you can also still get new chargers and challengers (2023) similarly priced, but there’s the obvious performance difference as an all arounder. The picks are slim though
the cars mentioned by @wheeldmedia are all valid options but none are a two seater RWD sports car with a pushrod V8 engine/ manual trans under 3500 lbs. There is also a higher spec Miata which although slower, weighs a lot less and can be driven hard and not put you in jail. The other car to consider is a C6 Z06 Corvette. Manual with 505 hp and less weight than the C7. I personally prefer the C7 but plenty of C6 fanboys out there swear the C6 is the best Corvette of all time
