“Original owner didn’t want to buy a tank for one small turtle”…. If you (them) don’t even want to provide the most basic of necessities for an animal, Don’t Have Pets!!! Glad he’s got a much better home now.
Dude that small bowl is so depressing idk how they can keep him there and not fell bad for the little guy. A literal bowl. So glad you rescued him and showed him a true home ❤
He was so excited to actually be able to swim and stretch his little limbs and explore! That bucket was borderline animal abuse. If you can't take care of a pet, DON'T GET ONE.
My brother's russian tortoise is a rescue like that. He was fed only carrots for the first 4 years of his life. He literally has a yellowish orange tint to his shell because of it. No idea how he survived that long
Omg the guy who sold him is horrible! Small or big, an animal is still a living being, it needs space and a home, not a bucket! Glad hes in a better home now❤
Why do people get animals if they don’t actually want to take care of them, you should know that you have to give them a lot of love and care. I have a cat that I’ve had for 11 years now! Don’t get a pet if you won’t take care of them because they have lives too! -thank you for getting carrot a better home
Things about the babys they drown alot so when give him his own tank with shallow water but sometimes put him in deep water supervised and wait until hes ready
He might not be that much of a baby. He looks like a musk turtle and that’s the smallest turtle species. They stay really small. And they are good at being able to swim up to the surface and back down.
Someone did the same for my now passed betta, Volcano. Someone didn't want him anymore and i got hin for free but they just put him in a fish bowl with a single decoration in there, no filter, and no heater. Poor thing thankfully had a good rest of his life with me because I put him in a tank with filter, heater, and plenty of hiding places plus two frog friends. (Frogs were nice so yay) I recommend never buying the bettas from pet stores because they do not care for them properly at all Also never let a betta see another betta. It stresses them out and fish die pretty easily from stress. The pretty fin spread isn't worth putting mental distress on the poor things
Even 2 turtles is usually too much, all for people learning how to take care of animals over time but putting solitary creatures in the same tank is never a good idea.
I still remember when my turtle was that size 10 years ago :') Btw it looks like he went inside the water running away from something instead of being exited x)
Such a sad soul the little guy. Being forced to start life in a little bowl with some soggy carrots and once little dude finally gets to escape that life forever, he has to forever be reminded of the tyranny of the carrot bowl by being named after it. Little carrot will forever have PTSD flashbacks
I found a baby turtle (red eared slider) in our pool a few days ago. My son Leonardo named him Raphael and now wants 2 more for the other TMNT. 😂 He was never in a small bowl like that and now I got him a 20 Gallon tank
Was always under the impression that turtles are solitary creatures and that keeping them together is never a good idea. Even if they don’t attack each other one will often bully the other and stop them from eating/cause stress. Also, that level of water is very much not recommended for such a small turtle.
In all fair ness I think it’s improper research or a lack of when I was in the 7th grade I was gifted a baby turtle. If died within 3 months I didn’t know how to take care of it. I was low key traumatized never got another but a yr or two ago (34 years now) I was in a fish shop called just fish and I was talking to the owner about the turtles bc they were the kind I had as a child only giant. 😅. I wanted to know how theirs got so big they explained with tank size heat , lamps fans. It was expensive upkeep. I said oh nooo. Lol. I would love to have another turtle but they can cost quite a bit ❤ great save and nice video.
Raphael is a snapping turtle Leonardo is a red-eared slider turtle Donatello is a softshell turtle Michelangelo is a box turtle but in the original they r say to be all red eared sliders turtles
And in 2012 they're mixes of diamond back terrapins and ornate box turtles, but also likely have three toed tortise somewhere in there due to namely having three toes. There are also extra turtles like slash and Lita as well as the lost years turtles also being made based on actual species, respectively another alligator snapper, an albino painted turtle, and I believe, a third snapper for Odin, another diamond back terrapin for uno, a D'orbinys slider for yi, and a brown roofed turtle for moja
You don't own every single turtle from the ninja turtles series, from what i can see, carrot is a mud turtle, and jim is a Phrynops hilarii, the only biologically accurate turtle you have is the softshell, which would correspond to rise!donnie. If you actually wanted to achieve this, youd have to first, account for the multiverse, then, buy at least 5 red eared sliders, 3 alligator snapping turtles, one ornate box turtle, four mixes somewhere between diamond backed terrapins and ornate box turtles, one diamond back terrapin, an albino painted turtle, a d'orbinys slider, and a brown roofed turtle. Not including any unspecified species of turtles or future copies.
Please say he is going in his own he is way too small to be in with the big boys and that one tank looks too crowded already. I suggest getting some stock tanks
That's unbelievable someone had that turtle living in a bowl on one rock and a bunch of water with carrots in it if you don't have any supplies to take care of an animal that you're going to get there's no point in even getting it you're tired of seeing people view their pets as materialistic things they're an animal just like me and you
