We all know Tommy can’t resist a networking event. 😂 Congrats on the client and new lens. Like the other guy said ^ using the HDMI out of your smallhd into your ninja is a way to bypass the illogical sdi/hdmi limit with the fs7. Makes no sense! And I’ve used that Kondor Blue monitor mount for a few months now. Happy to report it is still holding tension. Looking forward to hear about the new venture with the guy conducting the testimonials.

Instead of trying to get 2 feeds from the camera, most monitors have an inout and and output. The output is often used for wireless, but in this case you should be able to daisey chain the feed from your small hd to the atomos moniter. SDI out of camer > SDI In to small hd > video out of small hd > video into atomos. Give it a try...on most set ups it will work.
Allot of times the solution to our problems are fairly simple but because the idea we had to begin with is what we hoped would work; we are sometimes blind to the easy solution. Glad to hear you found a resolution.

Love it when Maggie steals the show. All the shots looked great! I wonder if your Small HD monitor has an output. Perhaps you can run the out to the extra monitor. I didn’t notice that your main monitor is SDI, though, that might hinder the loop out process.
I ran into the same issue with the FS7 trying to do both sdi and hdmi outputs. Without doing a whole wireless set up; the only thing I could find is if you were recording in 1080 that you can output in both sdi out and hdmi out. Kinda weird but sadly can’t work with all work flows
it won’t allow you to select that unless you switch to a 1080p, then you can select it and switch between hdmi and sdi, but it still won’t let you use them both at the same time, weirdly enough 😜

@@ROBERTPOKONSKI interesting mindset you have there. The guy who hired me for this event was a freelancer and the guy I met at the event wanted a service that the other freelancer does not offer. So it would have been impossible to refer that Business to the other freelancer. The other freelancer knows about this gig I landed, he’s happy for me, and we are planning to do more projects together in the future.
