Finance guy: "You know just because you mod it, it doesn't cancel the warranty....unless they can prove the mods affected the other parts" Yeah, Those Chevy dealers will make a bad seat motor or a bad radio a non warranty issue because the extra torque from the supercharger caused the wear on those components! Pretty much just insert the name of any part and they will try to hose you. That's their job.....

Ok then, well best get back to us all on RU-vid with a YT video detailing your E-Ray being fitted with a Supercharger. Top tip as well is to take out the passenger seat, fittings, seat belt etc and fit in another 45kg of 1.9kW/h of battery alongside the existing centre console battery compartment. Wire it all in so that as one set of 1.9kW/h batteries are depleting the other one is charging. (Two though initially fully charged!!) So that there is little to no wait time in using the battery boosting ability. No 55 seconds or so of waiting to utilise all that instant torque. If that is possible. Having seen a dyno chart of the low down torque on YT I was very surprised, it is massive. It being 600+ ft/lbs of torque at 2200revs and stays above 600 ft/lbs until about 4600revs. If an additional battery pack can be fitted and be worked in to the workings of the existing engine/battery set up it would for sure lower the current Lightning Lap lap record for the E-Ray. (The quick discharge of the battery being a stated limiting factor). There would be faster lap times especially if in addition to the extra battery the 120mph cut off limit for the electric motors can be extended. Even if by 15 mph or so. There must be a higher figure achievable. The 120 mph cut off point must be lower than what GM know it can do. They just dialled it down to keep it under the tolerances. I bet on the ZORA should that have a similar electric motor/battery system to the E-Ray, the ZORA's cut off point would likely be a fair bit higher. Possibly 160mph or so. Great then, an E-Ray that is supercharged with extended battery boost. Someone will do it. Your outfit could be the first to do both.
