By Far The Easiest Way to Farm Ethereals On All Classes Diablo 3 Season 24 

Save those puzzle rings!

after reading a few of the comments, I think it's a good idea to clarify: this is not a technique to farm a particular ethereal to use throughout the season, but rather a technique to efficiently farm all 21 ethereals, to get the feat-of-strength acheivement, and unlock the transmogs for use after the season ends

i've noticed when leveling up through nephs that monsters dont take my NEW level into consideration until leaving the floor. maybe the same is happening here so that you have that "pre-30" loot table the entire vault?

I picked up my first ethereal last night when i started the new season. Got it off Skeleton King in adv mode at like lvl 10 or something. Thing is pumped with juicy goodness for a low level thats for sure.

loving the puzzle ring approach! something I've been doing to test ethereal drops is I leveled a lod gem to 30, then craft a helfire ammy and ring. it has the advantage that you get a ton of power from the get-go, which scales as you start getting leggo drops. Also, you don't level as fast as you do with the gem of ease, on the lower levels, which is better for what we're trying to do

dumb question, yet I need to make sure of this: you create a whatever class new character you need ethereals, run it once, pray for the best, delete and start again. right? you have to collect all 21 ethereals despite if you get one of those and then you delete the character, game will still be counting you got that one. correct?

I only started playing again last night for s24 and I notice the (Emanates) I googled it and it says items benefit both player and follower, does that meaning having 'spaulders of zakara' on my follower will also make 'my items' indestructible without having to use the item itself or the cube with teh power ???? - EDIT never mind figured it out, follower has item and I don;t need to repair, another question though I searched what items, sage journey and cain destiny 3 piece set bonus would emanate BUT would that then be counted as a set bonus for those using legacy of dreams ????

what's the advantage of doing the puzzle rings at a lower level vs doing them at 70? Or is this just to get all the ethereals without gearing your character? I'm assuming if I just wanna play barb next season, to just play as I would normally?

I just loaded a new save and got the grandfather it came from one of the unknown type weapons I had to research, is this like a bug or something cuz I just started this lvl 10 barbarian for season 24

Raxx - or anyone else - I need help understanding Treasure Chests and Loot Tables. When I enter the Cow Level, I do it at lvl one. After finishing the area - and not opening any chests - I am lvl 32. When I open said chest, will they be lvl 1, the point at which I entered the Cow Level or will they be lvl 32, the point at which I completed said lvl?

I maybe missed it but would this not work at max level the same?

Does % magic find do something to find ethereals? Low lvl cain set has 10% and nagelring up to 50%.

Hej Raxx. How do you think if im not have a necro addon it's possible to collect 21/21 ethernals? Or better idea is just buy this expansion? Already i have gort 20/21 need one necro weap and im looking for awesome tips how to get it without necro ;)

Just completed it, here’s what I did. Farm max blood shards on main, spend all shards at Kadala on a 31 WD, keep going until you have at least 12-15 puzzle rings, make a new character level them to 5 on normal with a lvl 70 weapon with gem of ease, use a gem of ease on illusory boots so you can run straight through the enemies in the vault without killing anything, change difficulty to T2, pop a puzzle ring and kill greed which will get you 1-2 ethereals and to level 8-9, change difficulty to T6 then pop another puzzle ring kill greed and youll get another 1-2 ethereals and it’ll level you to 14-16. Then you make anew character and keep doing that method until you get the 3 ethereals for each class.

aren't they going to be low level? or is this specific if you only want transmogs?

In PTR drop rates are much higher so yes you get a lot of legendarys ... you could get on live server .. but it will be locked to your current level right ?

i put on a puzzle ring in the kanaiis cube but there were liek 4 Goblins? what did i do wrong?

wait im confused but isnt ethereals items are going to be low leveled gear so stats would not be that good to use on 70 character?

how you get all the treasure goblins i got nothing and got no ethereals nothing! im very confused i followed it just like you did!

Since GOE gives XP and you don't want that XP after lvl 14 it might be better to throw your lvl 70 weapon and the GOE together in the cube after you get to lvl 14. That way your weapon is useable but doesn't grant any extra XP.

Best way I found to do this was speed running GRs with my main exit out, have a pre-made level 31 character spend the shards for smaller ring drop pool, drop the rings in the stash, exit out, then level a character to 5 on Torment 3 and use a puzzle ring. You will only go up to level 9 when you kill Greed so you can run him twice with the same character. Once I got my Main speed running T14 GRs and my level 31 Kadala ring farmer it took about 14 hours of gameplay to farm all the Ethereals. I forgot to mention you need a gem of ease cubed pig sticker for your level 5 character.

What if you cubed a level 1 weapon instead of socketing it? Then you would avoid the experience bonus of the gem so you could stay in the sweet spot longer?

So originally it was to snapshot at level 12? now should it be snapshot at level 14?

I'd modify the approach a bit. Take a 2hd ancient sword/axe with vit and mainstat, and remove lvl requirement with the gem of ease in the cube instead. So you won't get xp gain from the gem of ease. You can use it on 6 classes (except DH), just reroll mainstat.

tried this 6 times on live. got one ethereal

I cant drop stuff for my freinds how were u able to do that play on ps4 cant send mail and when I drop something it doesnt pop up on their screen

I tried doing this the past 2 hours and you can’t get to T16 at level 14 not even if a buddy try’s to make game and invite you. So is this patched or am I missing something? Literally tried tonight solo and with my friend.

is it normal to spawn monsters in the vault and only 2 golbins?

Wait… why is it whenever I use puzzle rings, I only get like 3-4 goblins in the vault? You got like 50! It always gives me regular mobs

So is that just to get the Ethereal’s, or will these roll at level 70? And do we know if you can upgrade a Windforce through the cube to become an Ethereal?

Thanks for the tip but it didn't go well for me. Tried it 5 times. I'm not sure what I did wrong but I followed your video the best I could. What happened is when I'm in the Vault, the first few mobs I killed immediately increased my level to 30+. There's nowhere near that many goblins as in your video. When I smash the pots of gold and goblins spawn (I only got 2-3 goblins to spawn), it took forever to kill just 1 goblin while the others teleported out. The goblins have like 100 times the HP of the mobs. I used a barbarian with a level 70 weapon that has over 4k damage from my main character. I also used up all my Paragon Points and even Kanai Cube powers. I managed to killed a few goblins but didn't drop a single ethereal. It did drop a couple of legendary though. I just realized I don't have the Rise of the Necromancer Pack so I can't play a necro to get all 21 ethereals for the achievement so if you're like me, don't bother cuz the word is ethereals will disappear once season 24 is over.

Hey man great video did you explain to me the benefits of having ethereal at a low level I mean I understand having a great weapon at a low level is awesome but isn't it at a low level and low stats or does it have the same stats as it would at level 70

I feel fighting greed mright actually work on live. You gained way too many levels and your legendary pool was quite large by that time.

Not sure if that should still work or if I am doing something wrong, but it did not give me even one 😞

if you use regular puzzle rings and a lv 5 character you avoid the mobs and kill greed. few legendaries drop that low, but ethereals all drop. to get loads of puzzle rings, no chance of ancient, you can get a character to lv 31 and buy rings from kadala.

Kinda didn't read the season notes and just decided to finally do my softcore playthrough with a wizard to unlock adventure and got The Oculus from first run Diablo in act 4. Ezpz

Raxx you're confusing me now. In a previous video you say that we don't need to play each class to get all the ethereals, because they all drop regardless of character class. So which is it? Do i need to play every class including the necromancer i haven't purchased or can I just farm it out on my main?

Spend blood shards on rings with a WD at level 31. You get tons of puzzle rings. Make a level 25 gem of ease cube it with a weapon to remove the level req and bonus xp. Roll a charter get to level 5 on game on normal and farm greed. 3 vaults should do it

Can you keep this video up (and label it as a Solo method?). I know you have a new method up, but that one requires group play.

In your video your friend gave you a puzzle ring, I was under the impression that any rings your friend has is account bound to him and you cannot use them

Also assign your cosmetic pet. It will clean up the gold piles and de-clutter your screen for you.

Im a little confused. You say save the puzzle rings but i thought everything gets reset in the new season. Dont i just lose all my paragon points and everything?

I'm not a big Diablo 3 fan but I've been playing just because I'm so excited for Diablo 2 resurrected, I've kind of just been blindly playing whatever, I've already gotten the crossbow and longbow for the demon hunter by the time I was lvl 20 by doing normal difficulty rifts

I will try this in HC ;) My first ethereal Weapon i got @Lvl 12 then i started new HC Season with my Barb. But then can you imagine my curses about Blizzard then an Monk Weapon dropped for me ? Smartdrop ? I only played one time Monk to get the LVL 70 Archieve. I was pissed like hell then a Monk Weapon for my Barb dropped ;)

This has either been fixed, or something is missing from the video. Some people mention ancient ring, but i dont ever hear him say specifically ancient ring, and you never see the ring the guy uses to open the portal. Tried it exactly as described with regular puzzle ring, no dice. Tried the other suggestions, level 5 toon, illusory boots, dont kill anything except greed at end, no dice. Also, i had 18 puzzle rings total, zero ancient.

Considering the drop rate chances, and the fact it does almost make no influence inside the ancient puzzle ring ( since it will drop tons of legies anyways ) this strategy is awsome, and you can bring your friends using diferent classes so after the ring ends just share the items to complete it even faster, thank you. Sorry for the last season...
