This is the best video I've ever watched seeing a troop of contented macaques treating one another with kindness. Much more enjoyable than some of the abusive ones they show.
If only all the channels were like this one. Some of the VOs seem to be almost certainly creating problems to film. It's very, very upsetting. Edit: after more time spent flagging videos, most of them are 100% deliberately causing problems, some of which result in the deaths of infants and juveniles. It is sickening. I want RU-vid to take this seriously!
I too agree. This is beautifully done. Professional. Just lovely. Unfortunately there are VO’s in the market for abuse. Filming abuse by humans, filming fake “rescue” videos in which innocent young animals are put in horrible situations (head stuck in a bottle, hung in a tree, puppy in a pit full of snakes) to be “saved” by the person filming. It’s beyond disgusting. The only thing worse is there is a market for it.
I really like your videos. Well done. Good to see someone has a heart and soul. Please help stop these other monkey channels that are setting monkeys up and abusing even killing them for veiws it's disgusting.
Mike Samra Females stay w/in their Mother’s natal troop for life, males leave @ around five years upon reaching sexual maturity. Since she was probably too old to be kidnapped by humans, can only assume she was run over by a vehicle, was caught in a turf war between troops, or more likely; fell from high up
I've become addicted to these videos and i finally found these and subscribed. You are by far my new fave. I love your titles and narrations so. Much i don't even want to watch any of the others anymore. You show all instead of just moms abusing their babies. I love it. Keep up the good work.
Erica Smith I am the same way. I can’t stop watching them. This story was so well put together. It’s crazy how we get attached to them. I would love one but I know there is a lot to taking care of them. Having time for one isn’t the problem seeings how I’m retired it’s more would I be able to keep up with one lol any ways so sad about this little girl I’m heart broken for her mom and siblings.
Yeah it seems like this is the only channel that doesn't sensationalize and encourage violence between monkeys. I know it's hard to make a living in Cambodia, and this channel's owner probably doesn't rely on views for income while those other channels do. The channel owner clearly respects nature rather than looking to exploit animals for self gain.
@@eduardopupucon yes, I'm sorry I wasn't clear when I compared this channel to the other channels in Cambodia. I realize Arroz is in Hong Kong. I am from Hong Kong. I was merely contrasting this channel to all of those based in Cambodia.
sweettrubble4635 I was musing over this ability when my youngest daughter reminded me of the time I was chopping carrots and took the entire tip of my left index finger off at a 45° angle, (more or less), fingernail and all, to the bone. And my point for sharing this is I was of the belief it would remain in this general condition since I had been raised around hospitals as my Mom was a Nurse and would go there to wait until she got off duty till we could go home. Anyway, about three weeks later it had healed completely, to the point of my fingerprint returning as well, (!?). My family, had a good time kidding me about being part chameleon, but also happy it had been able to heal as completely as it had. I'm of the belief there has to be a lot of research into the Macaque monkeys ability to withstand the amount of damage to their bodies and still be able to function as efficiently as they do. What a treasure trove of information that will be when that puzzle is solved.
I watched your other videos and they're Higher One I appreciate you because you are a true humanitarian of these animals you are a true wild animal photographer you have respect for them you care for them and you have a passion that I have not seen it any other photographer on this videos that I have seen you are truly one of a kind thank you for your love that you share with these animals thank you for the way you share with these animals you treat these animals as if they were your own you watch them from Little to adult you don't add and you don't ought to nothing from these videos that you make God has sent you to these animals to these troops they trust around the babies I feel if you haven't got an award from RU-vid they need to give you one because all the videos that I have seen you are the best out of all of them I don't see harm unless one of them get attacked or fall out of a tree by natural causes you keep track of them you too thanks on this channel things that should not be here and allowed other photographers to do this but you are a wildlife photographer and good at what you do may the Lord bless you and keep you may he watch over you and your animals because he made you a keeper of them please continue to do what you do because you put a song just as much as you do may you be blessed and may He Prosper you in your journey doing what you do best Jesus name is my prayer for you amen
Mr. Marisco, or anyone - what is the name of that wonderful composition that begins at 10:15? It almost sounds like a variation on Pachelbel's beautiful Canon.
Wow...That's REALLY sad😢What a BEAUTIFUL lil girl!! That bruise looked so Serious, I thought that would take her!! ..RIP LITTLE ONE💕💕I CAN TELL U FROM EXPERIENCE, YES...HAGGY HAS A HOLE IN HER HEART 💔WHERE NIBBY ONCE LIVED!!😪😪😢😢
Such a sweet video. I’ve seen some that exploit them and abuse the babies to get views on here. This was a genuine tribute and well made video. Thank u. It’s so very sad though.
Are they amazing? Or are they just vile creatures that have no purpose. Buddy here puts together a good video. I'm s veterinarian I love animals so much. That's y I hate these creatures
Well, crap, another heartbreaker! Poor Haggy and poor you, Arroz. Losing these little darlings just never get easier. I, for one, am glad I don't know the circumstances of her death. I'm sure it was awful and knowing wouldn't make her loss any easier.
I'm literally crying like a baby.... So sad... And she was such a beautiful girl.....thank you for the day you honored/paid tribute to her memory ... Beautifully done arroz
These little babies are so precious... it's hard to see , to know when they die.. this little girl was a blessing to her mother.. to the people on here who troll and harass.. you must have forgotten, " GOD REMEMBERS THE NAME OF EVERY SPARROW THAT FALLS FROM THE SKY ." HOW MUCH MORE HE MUST REMEMBER THESE LITTLE ONES.
I agree with you it breaks my heart to the injustice that is done to them by humans I truly believe everyone of these precious little Angel's go to heaven God comfort this little one's mother God bless them USA
Amen, table turned who would like To be hurt first " Yes the guilty people shame on you how dare you continue to cause pain and suffering can't you see how these adult monkey's and babies have a father monkey who loves them. Sorry for going on & on some just get it .
I'm so sorry. Nibby was a little beauty. I'm going to miss her big beautiful eyes. Things will be different now she is gone.. Arroz you are so wonderful to these animals. I know your heart is heavy . She a little angel now.. Beautiful video you put together.. thank you😢😥😥
Wow you really humanized that so much it got my feelers going. 💔 Such a sad ending. A very beautiful tribute to her. I wish every human was memorialized in such a beautiful way. Outstanding job!
Was there not a way to grab her, Why are these monkey's not in a safe fenced area ? It would be so nice to know there in no danger to many are killed by car's or electrocuted it's sad. If I could share on your RU-vid of Sanctuary where monkey's are cared for and babies get foster mom and release in a fence safe area for as long as they live. It's called The Vervet Monkey's Foundation NOTE I am not selling or doing promotions. I'm sharing for all who want to learn more about these fun loving monkey's and how the homeless monkey's get a second mom who can care and bring in a troop and live like a monkey. Hope this is okay. I have subscribed and enjoy the great videos.
You so good at what you do God bless you I love you because you talk n let us no who is who n you name them n this is the beautiful part you don’t forget there name keep up the good work
Always wonder what happens to the missing ones. Your photography is so beautiful and professional. Not like the vo’s channels. You can tell a lot of love goes into your videos.
Aww this brought tears to my eyes. This was such a beautiful tribute to Nibby, how do they just disappear,it is so heartbreaking and the whole family must feel it also.Thankyou Arroz for making this video, you must feel very sad also as you follow them from birth.xx
Sorry to break it to you, but they DON'T mourn or love! They lack the higher brain function to do so. The ONLY thing they notice when one dies is that there is a chance to get MORE FOOD! That is the ONLY thing they care about. They are not kind, loving animals. Just because they can mimmick some human expressions, don't be fooled into believing that they THINK like a human! EVERYTHING THEY DO IS FOR SURVIVAL, nothing more, ever.
@Wildsaver 5820 Never alluded to that. The viciousness and cruelty of the macaques social structure FAR outweighs any of the rare ones that show sympathy or kindness. Their sicial structure can be bouled down simply: Who can I overpower, abuse and take food from and who can overpower, abuse and take food from me. Otherwise, orphans would be cared for, not seen as a threat and starved to death! I wouldn't be ( and am not 'foolish', as you put it) to believe they lack emotion. However, they DO NOT possess the mental complexity to have feelings to the level that humans do. Their brains are not that developed. That is a FACT. But most of their behavior is rooted in INSTINCT and driven by HORMONES. That, again, is fact. Other behaviors are due to their social structure as I stated above. A lot of people anthropomorphize their behavior and have convinced themselves and try to convince others that their depth of emotion and behavior are equal to humans, in order to justify their behavior, especially when they harm humans. This is what is FOOLISH. These animals are dangerous, carry many diseases, and are responsible for multimillion dollar agricultural decimation. Again, this is fact. Over 1,000 people per day are bitten or otherwise attacked by monkeys. They are breeding out of control in places like Thailand and India. Several deaths have been linked to them. One, using a BRICK to kill and elderly man, for not surrendering the food it demanded. They are VICIOUS, HARMFUL animals who's numbers need to be reduced and controlled for balance to be maintained and controlled.
@Wildsaver 5820 WHERE, in my statement did I say 'they can't live? I said their numbers need to be reduced ( culling of animals that rise to numbers which place human live in danger are common!) and then breeding needs to be controlled. I NEVER said to destroy the entire species and I don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth. Yes, they MAY have some sort of 'feeling, towards a dead troupe member. But, NOT to tge degree of a human, simply because their brain isn't COMPLEX enough to form the the thoughts and feelings that we have. THAT is FACT. I'm sorry if that's a difficult thing to swallow but it's the truth. Reduction and control of breeding is not only responsible, it is KIND. Kind to the people who must endure the hardships they create. Kind to the animal, that must struggle to survive because there are too many mouths and not enough food to support those numbers. We ( humans) caused this imbalance. It is up to us, to set it right. These two measures are the only things that will put things back in balance. Like it or not, it's the way it is. Sorry.
@Wildsaver 5820 It seems to me that you are just trying to pick a fight. I reread our conversation several times. I cleary have not placed any words in your mouth. I try to be very care careful when responding to another intelligent individual. That said, respectfully, I think there may be a misunderstanding here. My last response was only meant to clarify the previous one, as again, I felt misunderstood. I looked carefully, and have not seen anywhere, that I have accused, twisted or misinterpreted what you've said. If I am incorrect, please, tell me ( kindly include the statement you are referring to!) and I'd be happy to apologize. But as of the present, I don't see it. I try very hard not to do what you accuse me of because I don't like it done to me. I just ask you for that courtesy. Perhaps a misspelling occurred, which led to this, I'm not sure. Can we get back to having an intelligent conversation without the finger pointing? It degrades a thing of beauty. Thank you and Blessings.
It is unfortunate that my passion for this subject is taken for aggression. Perhaps it is best to discontinue it. It's a shame to do so. I was eager to learn what it was that I said that 'put words in your mouth', so as to not do it again to you or anyone else. Conversations seemed to have changed a great deal over time. It used to be, passion was understood, appreciated( sometimes admired) Unfortunately, One must scale back these things, less someone become insulted and the subject become blurred into unrecognizable. I also stand by what was said. Please understand that passion is never a direct attack. From what I was taught, an attack wasn't such until things were said about someone directly ( i.e. "you are this, you are that", etc.), which I don't believe I did here, but was done). This is 'gaslighting' in a very minor way. I'm not trying to be rude or perpetuate this, only bring awareness. Please, try not to offended, this is not meant to be in any way. But I do miss conversations where every sentence didn't have to be padded with assurances. It's exhausting! Take care and Blessings to you!
Love the butterfly at the beginning. So what are your personal thoughts on to what did happen to Nibby ? You have to be thinking something weather it being good bad or indifferent. You have a thought ! Please share your there and were just viewer that can only speculate...
I really miss the possibility of translation. Unfortunately, only those who understand English can understand the story this way. I really like your videos, I learned a lot from them. Thanksful.
13:36 made me cry. She has been elevated to Heaven's Forest, and is happy there. Rest in peace sweet Nibby. When Nibby's wound was being treated, I cringed. I had that kind of wound and couldn't sleep when it started healing. Thank you Dopey- I mean Arroz for making a tribute video. It's been a while for this kind of video.
@Eughan Badli I was cringing too because is it Haggy who is the overzealous OCD groomer/plucker?? Or does that title belong to Gypsy? I can't remember...
I started watching these types of monkey shows about 3 months ago and I thought to myself that they are so ugly their cute but after attaching myself to a few of the babies I find them absolutely beautiful and t breaks my heart when I see one of them hurt themselves or worse...there’s one named Lola who’s right arm is terribly messed up never to heal and I love her so much I wished I could adopt her but we know that’s not possible....so I will enjoy them here on RU-vid and watch...thank you for brining then to us...
Sorry it always sad to see one of the little ones go missing or pass away .to me its a mile stone that I well never see finish of what could of been. Sorry Arroz I know it touches you more being so close to our furry friends. Thank you for the update .🕊
So sweet, so pretty, so helpful to Haggy. Your tribute made me cry. So respectful of the the monkeys you film. I can tell you have a connection to each of them. Thank you for the video. Greeting from U.S.A.
The way monkey life was before they were crowded together. Life much more tranquil then, family units were strong, and not as much fighting between moms and babies. True utopian life was theirs.
Oh no... 😔 Sweet 🌸Nibby. Thank you for making a special video for her Arroz💔. I can't imagine what it must be like to venture out only to find one of the kids are gone.
@@charlesbarrett1935 Like us, monkeys form strong friendships and bitter rivalries. They fight for each other and take care of one another. And the leader of a monkey troop, when deposed, will even exhibit signs of depression
Just curious, what happened to Nibby? I know that you love them and you've respected their space. Thant's why your videos are 100% better than the crap we get coming out of Cambodia
Seriously! This channel is a world apart from most of them.... VOs chasing them, feeding little ones out of turn to cause drama, even drugging them or "rescuing" infants. We just have to report, report, report.
I seem to recall that Arroz did some statistics on the infant mortality rates of the various troupes he recorded since he started filming back in 2016. 20% die in the first 6 months from accidents, malnutrition or an infection. This rises to 32% after 6 months as babies get more independent from their mothers. Whilst fatal falls are high on the list equally road kill can happen with babies getting under cars. Do also remember that Arroz is not filming 24/7 at Monkey Hill, but films on a weekly basis. Unlike the cameramen in Cambodia around Angor Wat, who can and sometime do film 24/7.
What did you thank God when he made this planet he put something in every one of us that we know how to heal and in these animals lava is a healing compound that's why when men don't interfere these animals can take care of and heal themself and they can get along without man's help and look how well her arm has healed you a good photographer I love watching your videos they're not violent you don't interfere with the balance of nature and you have showed great respect for these animals you don't overstep your bounds with them and they respect you for that I wish you sure can teach the other people that's on RU-vid about the respect of these animals but some of them are so cruel and bad and they do terrible things to these animals but you you are exception you are a true wildlife photographer you can go a long way in your field and you're talking and everything is perfected thank you you are a joy to watch and your videos may the Lord bless and keep you in Jesus name amen
that was so precious when nibby was holding Natalie in the tree had both her arms around her and was holding her tight as Natalie cried for her mother who was probably out foraging. 100% she knew that was her little sister who was crying for their mother and she was comforting her you can definitely see the love same as when they were on the picnic table that's awesome
Oh Noooooo😭💔NOT SWEET NIBBY😥she was so sweet & now gone WAY 2 SOON!That video was beautifully done.I'm so sorry,Arroz.I hope she's playing with ALL the other's we've lost😭 from Monkey🐵 Hill..Sweet Nibby.Poor Haggy too& her lil sis,Nataly she was such a gr8 big sister to her💓@12:49 u can see the sadness in Haggy's eye as if she know her sweet NIBBY is gone😭
Thank your for such great content but like most of us here what can happen to these Maqueques that go missing??? If Indeed they do pass wouldn’t you be able to see the body some where? Are there other predators that can have access to them??? Thank you
You have shown a wonderfull obituary . Tactful and without sensationalism as you sadly can see in some other channels, for example the videos from Ancor Wat
You dont think the violins lend themselves to the setting? It's pretty dramatic. There are no violins played in real life. I would argue that these videos are no different than any other channel. Monkeys= views and support. Especially someone who is perceived as kind to the monkeys.
