In this video I show how to bypass HDCP to connect games consoles or other pc for game play recording and streaming.

At 3:46 you said you ended up breaking one. What are you talking about? AND: you can buy these that do not require a power cord. Will those bypass HDCP also?

Yes they bypass HDCP that’s the point of the video. I believe I burned out the video processing chip in the old splitter by not providing enough power for it to work properly. You get no or glitchy video without power.

I don’t think this is what you think. The purpose for the tutorial is to allow people to record or stream gameplay from consoles and devices that have HDCP on them and can’t show some things or the device doesn’t work correctly if plugged directly into a capture card.

Uhh so hmm my Nintendo switch will dock but there no signal and when it does do a thing sometimes it will give hdcp error screen opening youtube and theres sound when it has signal idk what's happening with it

If it’s giving HDCP error it means the HDCP signal is being passed to the Capture Card. Are you using a splitter like the one in the video?

U solve the problem already? because I also facing this problem, TV no receive image while dock, and show hdcp error on my switch

The issue is that it looks like assuming the dock is only connected to your tv that the tv does not support DHCP. The splitter I showed in the video should help but be careful as some will not work as not every one used the same method of splitting.

I try at my friend's TV with same switch, ac adapter, hdmi cable, dock , its work, so I jut need add one splitter at my TV? 🤔

I did the same thing with my hdpvr 2 and it worked fine; but there is no found video signal

Is the splitter new or have you had it a while as I’m on my second one as my original somehow burnt itself out. With sound but no or very unstable video.

I've got a big issue here, I'd paid crazy money for Sony ultrashort laser projector with no HDCP and I can't project nothing wireless with dongle from my phone, "cause dongles got HDCP...i gat a splitter, but stil got massage that my output device got no HDCP. So Amazon don't want to get the dongle and the splitter back, and can't watch even pics from my phone, even if I pay much for dongle and splitter...How can I fix the problem?!?

Does it lower frames for games or does it make it less responsive

I haven’t noticed any additional latency but I would think it may add a few milliseconds to the response time but I haven’t noticed and played perfectly fine with it in.

Yeah, I have the issue of trying watch a movie on VUDU on PC & already paid for high 1080 and get that damn message about HDCP! I am like WTF? it pisses me off!

Yeah it can be annoying but I do understand why it was implemented to prevent near perfect recordings of movies and tv shows. It’s just frustrating when it’s on permanently on stuff like games consoles or it can’t be disabled like on Apple device when all you want to do is stream or record gameplay.
