Disabling HDCP guide 

This is amazing! Spent so much time trying to get an older monitor working with an active DVI adaptor and HDCP. Worked on a 4070 super with current drivers. Thanks man 👍

i did this and now my main monitor has all these lines on my screen going vertically. i couldve sworn ive used this tutoprial before idk why it all the sudden messed up. i literrally cant do anything on my main monitor thats how fuzzy it is. i deleted the reg edit vaLue and restarted and its still messed up.

Great video! Thing is for me, that it worked... once! Im using Elgato's HD60 S+ and its new 4K Capture software. When i successfully disabled the HDCP, i run Elgato's program with no issues - except from the not good output, suggestively due to not proper settings (game lag and no sound). When i tried to reload the software, nope! Black screen of not-gonna-use- the-program. I guess there is something im missing. Your video though, was super usefull and i thank you for that.

This method did not work, running Windows 11 on RTX 3060, the folder is not empty (there is also a 0001 folder which has the same components)

I did this to two of my computers after watching your original video. On the one running windows 10, HDCP was disabled without issue. On the one running Windows 7, HDCP refuses to be disabled. In the registry I had 0000, 0001 and 0002. 0000 was for a nvidia card that used to be in the pc, 0001 had almost nothing in it's folder and 0002 was for the current nvidia gpu. I added the 32-Bit D-WORD RMHdcpKeyglobZero entry (set to 1) to all 3 folders, rebooted, etc. I checked it over several times to make sure I didn't make a mistake, it's like entry has no effect.

I purchased a new capture card and it was constantly flickering and connecting with a black screen. I haven't tested it with enough time but my NVidia control panel does say HDCP is not configured to my computer after doing your steps. Thank you!

i tried this... hdcp is not enabled on my "freinds" monitor... however i still get a black screen in OBS when trying to stream certain content. Hypothethically speaking how would one live stream a sporting event... the method outlined here did not work. the youtubetv overlay is visible, just no actual video feed...just a black screen... any help out there...
