I’d invite you to pray everyday for the Holy Ghost to be with you & to speak through you and that as you use your voice it will be His voice. As I’ve done this He’s magnified my ability to “see things as they really are” and many times when I open my mouth “at that moment He’ll fill it with the words that I’m supposed to say.” The Holy Ghost will also help you discern when you need to say something and when you don’t.

I am not happy with the way my Tithing is spent on BYU-Provo. I read a book review of "The Fate of the Persecutors of the Prophet Joseph Smith" in which a BYU Professor talks about the need for myth making by Mormons about the martyrdom of Joseph Smith." I was flabbergasted. This was the sort of nonsense I would expect from those apostates who join the cult of John Dehlin, not a BYU Professor who is being paid from my Tithing.

Pauline I feel the same way. And felt the same things. I say my prayers & read my scriptures daily & do CFM. Sometimes I study for 4 hours. I know that God is there. I also know He isn’t going to keep all the bad that’s going on away from our eyes or ears. I would appreciate people talking about it, with understanding. It’s one of the reasons I watch CWIC media, that and the fact Greg points things out in CFM that make it more meaningful & spiritual. Having a place where these things that are happening are spoken about, is very helpful.

This podcast has changed my life . Not only is there a place to hear about difficult issues but the gospel lessons are spot on . This is rampant in the Church . My very devoted to the Church adult daughter had to recently leave a favorite blog after the much celebrated author …featured Everywhere in the Church …set up on “altar “ in her home to President Nelson , Joe Biden AND George Floyd . She then informed her followers anyone not behind BLM needed to get off her blog . It was a bloodbath between so called “disciples “ of Christ attacking those that didn’t love the “altar “ . It broke my daughters’s heart to leave her favorite blog but she knew there was No choice . It is EVERYWHERE . Thank You Greg because you DO speak for many of Us .

This comment is us. The silent minority. It echoes my experiment the U a decade ago. I stayed quiet and quietly dropped the class. But these bullies are in the open and are straight up indoctrinating America and we have all got to speak up. It's gonna be uncomfortable. But the left eventually crosses a line. Cuties = cancel Netflix. Dumb Dad syndrome = cancel Disney+. And CRT = literally just repost what they said and they get offended - by themselves.

It's important to read the teachings of the Prophet's past, and present. Actually, there are people, not just in the USA, but in Australia where I live, where some of our Aboriginal people, who have admittedly been hard done by, are promoting blackness. I have 31 chronic health problems and live in social housing. Where is my white privilege? Because I am educated to post-grad university level is not of great worth now that I experience cognitive impairment. My "white privilege" is being a Priesthood holder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and being worthy to hold a Temple Recommend. This same privilege is accorded all of our Heavenly Father's children if they are willing to "Come Unto Christ." Thus having a white skin and being descended from white ancestors affords me no privilege. Holding the Priesthood and being Temple worthy is NOT a civil right, nor a human right. it is an honour we earn by faithful obedience to the commandments and our covenants.

Professor Ruiz Bybee is in fact a proponent of "la raza". In a textbook called 'Affirming Language Diversity in Schools and Society', he co-authored a chapter titled 'Colonial Education in the Southwest: White Supremacy, Cultural and Linguistic Subtraction, and the Struggle for Raza Studies'.

This is so well said. In my book, teaching is SO influential, and the reason I (and we) are so terribly upset at their breach of trust (the teachers who are not holding to gospel truths). And the reason we need to make our homes temples of God. I have been on this soapbox for many years, and I hope that all of you who have more years ahead of you than I might have, will be up for the battle. I am doing all I can, but will try to do more! Thanks to all of you, and especially Greg, for all your efforts to bring wickedness into the light. Read Elder Packer for more on this subject. He has been trying to help BYU professors stay focused on teaching truth for many many years. I can only imagine his great sadness at this. But we must remember that "there are more with us than with them", if our eyes be opened so we can see!!

My son is at BYU. He has no issues with professors. Quite the opposite. He's a freshman and shares how each is outstanding. In contrast, these wacky, activist professors are rare. You've got some wild liberal ones in Rexburg, too. I've read of faculty raising all sorts of Cain at BYU-I. No place is exempt from these ideologies. The differences between Provo and Rexburg are vast in some respects, but nearly identical in most ways.

These professors are not as rare as you may think at BYU. Certainly not the majority, but growing in numbers and influence. Also, do not conflate “liberal” with these professors. They are not liberal. They are radical far left. I had great liberal professors at BYU that did not teach these ideologies. They didn’t believe in them.

BYU is a better fit for STEM. He will have less exposure to these ideologies than in other departments.

Sadly it was a very small group of planters …some Black …that benefited from the slavery system. Around 15 percent benefited while the rest lived poor farm lives . The vast majority of soldiers that died fighting for the Confederacy were NOT slave holders . The southern culture developed differently than the North and families/neighbors lived dependent upon each other for life sustaining needs . It was the unthinkable to not support your neighbors-Society in the Civil War . A man that did not fight for the Confederacy would have been disowned or hung by his community . Many of the men killed left behind generations of poverty from their loss . Slavery exacted a HUGE price on people of All races and was an abomination practiced thorough out the world …still is . NO ONE is ignoring this history or the history of ANY minority . As an old history major and American history TA at BYU , I Never shied away from learning or teaching about oppression of groups . CRT is something different than TRUE history .

From reading about CRT it was only taught at colleges for people taking up law to become lawyers, judges, etc…. It was written by Black Americans on how Racism is apart of our society and how it affects American Descents of Slavery ADOS. We all know that Racism is still apart of American society.

Mmmmmmmmm are you sure about that? If what you are saying is doctrine then you are condemning a lot of righteous men. In one book alone you can start with Nephi (picking up Laban’s sword) continuing on to CPT Moroni. Jesus had long hair but he was not a hippie.

This thought came to my mind strongly when he mentioned parents hearing teachers over zoom in this video.

There are situations where blowing the whistle in this manner may be warranted. Especially if students did escalate with no action taken. It happens and frankly, it's good. Everyone should see this kind of stuff. I'm a father with kids quickly reaching college age. These kinds of events are helpful in that decision-making process involving college attendance. Institutions have a nasty habit of doing damage-control to obfuscate facts involving events like these. The facts are important. The professor said what he said and it was (thankfully) recorded and shared.

Deflecting, this is not about copyright or revealing protected material. There are and can be those issues about posting materials, quizzes and tests, answers. This was about showing what is going on in the education department / college regarding CRT.

@@kz6fittycent my only problem with blowing the whistle this way is that it doesn’t protect the student as a legitimate whistleblower. When you go through the proper channels, there are protections in place to protect the student. Whereas posting it to instagram leaves the student vulnerable.

@@joepiloto I agree about the intent however copyright laws aren’t interested in intent. They’re pretty straight forward and there isn’t that sort of wiggle room. (Legally speaking)

Really my round about point is, as parents I’m sure the last thing you want is $1,000’s if not 10’s of $1000’s of dollars in legal fees bc proper whistleblower protocols weren’t followed by your student. Which, I’d bet the family of this student is going to have to fight against. And… that could could really sour them against the University, and the church. Which would be very sad, not to mention, unnecessary.
